      • Safety and Reasonability of Liver Resection for Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma in Elderly Patients

        Aims: The incidence of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) in elderly patients is increasing worldwide. Little is known regarding postoperative outcomes in elderly patients undergoing liver resection for ICC. Methods: 84 patients undergoing liver resection for ICC between 2004 and 2018 were identified. Perioperative characteristics, postoperative morbidity, mortality and survival were compared between elderly (>60 years, group 1, n=31) and non-elderly (<60 years, group 2, n=53) patients. Results: Gender (P =0,34) and body mass index distribution (P =0,61), duration of stay (P =0,071) were comparable between groups. Surgical characteristics and pathologic data we present in table 1. Incidence of surgical site infections (19,3% vs 18,8%, P =0,95), posthepatectomy liver failure (18,6% vs 22,6%, P =0,47), reoperation (9,6% vs 9,4%, P =0,97) and clinically relevant complications (29,1% vs 32,1%, P =0,77) were comparable between the different age groups. 3-year OS (29.1% vs 32,5%, P =0,06) and DFS (16,5% vs 18.4%, P =0,004) were comparable between the elderly and non-elderly patients. Conclusions: Liver resection for ICC in elderly patients can obtain acceptable perioperative morbidity rates with a chance of long-term survival.

        Effect of post annealing on the characteristics of In2S3 buffer layer grown by chemical bath deposition on a CIGS substrate

        In2S3 as an alternative Cd-free buffer in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cells was deposited on CIGS substrate by a chemical bath deposition and characterized after post annealing to optimize film properties for CIGS solar cells. A uniform and pinhole-free In2S3 film was deposited on a CIGS substrate by H2O2 treatment prior to chemical bath deposition. The In2S3 layer was an amorphous state due to the co-existence of In eS, IneO, and IneOH bonds. Annealing at 200 ℃ induced copper diffusion from CIGS into In2S3 layer and lowered the band gap from 3.3 to 1.9 eV, leading to phase change from amorphous state to crystalline state. The conduction band alignment at the In2S3/CIGS interface can be controlled by the post annealing. The shunt current through In2S3 film was prevented down to the thickness of 30 nm and a 1.15 eV shallow defect was eliminated by the annealing. The results indicated that post annealing in air is a critical to fabricate CIGS solar cells with a sub-30 nm CBD-In2S3 buffer layer.

        Design of a High-Performance 35GHz Monopulse Lens Antenna

        The lens antenna is one of favorable types of antenna at millimeter-wave frequencies since it is structurally simple and of small size. This paper presents a design of a high-performance 35GHz monopulse lens antenna with high aperture efficiency and low sidelobes for missile seeker applications. First, a lens is designed based on the antenna requirements. Next, a monopulse feed is designed utilizing tapered dielectric rods. For ease in the implementation of the monopulse comparator network, a 5-element configuration is adopted where the sum-channel element is separated from difference-channel elements. Finally the monopulse feed and the lens are combined to complete the antenna design. The designed antenna with a 16-wavelength diameter aperture has the sum-channel performance of 32.3dBi gain, 4.24° beamwidth, -28.4dB sidelobe level, and the difference-channel performance of 29.0dBi gain, 2.36° cross-over angle, -23.5dB sidelobe level, and null depth of greater than 40dB.

        Catalytic hydrocracking, hydrogenation, and isomerization reactions of model biomass tar over (W/Ni)-zeolites

        Producing bio-based aromatic substrates is becoming increasingly of (industrial) interest. In this mechanisticwork, the gas phase conversion of the biomass tar chemical model compounds (5 wt% naphthalene/95 wt% 1-methylnaphthalene) over the different pristine/metal-modified zeolites in acontinuous flow fixed bed reactor was investigated. Bifunctional redox acid process catalysts were synthesizedby wet impregnation method. The effect of the W (/Ni) metal formulation additives to the pristineH-beta, H-USY, H-Y, and H-ZSM-5 in the hydrocracking, hydrogenation, and isomerizationtransformation reactions of the mixture under applied ambient pressure was firstly studied. Structure,texture, morphology, acidity, composition and properties were determined by various analytical techniques. Results showed that the highest catalytic activity with a comparison to others was establishedover the 20 wt% W-beta with 96.0 mol% of the selectivity to 2-methylnaphthalene, the 93.3 mol% reactedtotal reactant after the 24 h time on stream, where ethylene/propane were predominating (80.5 wt%), andfacile manufacturing scalability. Detailed characterization methodologies have revealed that after theloading of W onto H-beta_support, a uniform functional distribution of particles, the dealumination offramework and strong interaction phenomena were observed, which led to an increase in the amountof Brønsted/Lewis/reduction surface sites, and hence, increase stability of the catalyst. In addition,equilibrium coke formation was detected, decreasing all estimated rates, undergoing also consequentexternal deactivation, blocking pores, and its burning-off regeneration being needed. While both spentW-modified (20 wt%)/unmodified H-beta/ZSM-5 exhibited the lowest carbon quantity, the same freshmaterials possessed the uppermost hierarchy factors.

        Catalytic hydrocracking reactions of tetralin as aromatic biomass tar model compound to benzene/toluene/xylenes (BTX) over zeolites under ambient pressure conditions

        The gas phase selective hydrocracking process of tetralin (biomass tar model chemical compound) intobenzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX) was carried out over the H-Beta, H-Mordenite, H-USY, H-Y, and HZSM-5 zeolite catalysts in a packed bed reactor under applied atmospheric pressure. To the best of ourscientific knowledge, this performed work presents thefirst systematic investigation, focused on tetralin,cracking to BTX under ambient 1 bar. The highest catalytic activity and carbon deposition resistance wereestablished over the H-ZSM-5 (SiO2/Al2O3 = 30) with the selectivity to the BTX of 52.2 mol.% inintermediates’ liquid phase, 88.7 mol.% of total conversion yield after the 4 h time on stream, 370 C andgas hourly space velocity (GHSV) = 530 h–1, and limited site deactivation. The gas phase was analyzed andethylene, propane, ethane and methane were identified as main gas products in the product mixture atdifferent reaction conditions. All catalysts were characterized by BET, ICP-AES, XRD, HRSEM, NH3-TPD,and pyridine-DRIFT technique. This high catalytic performance of the H-ZSM-5 catalyst is attributed tothe presence the high mesopore volume and mesopore surface area, the mild acidity and the highestBrönsted to Lewis acid sites ratio (BAS/LAS) comparing with other studied zeolite catalysts. Based on theexperimental results, the reaction pathway of tetralin transformation into BTX was proposed. Hydrocracking, ring opening, ring contraction, dehydrogenation/hydrogenation, alkylation/dealkylation,isomerization, and overcracking reactions were involved. Results were consistent with the occurrence ofthe monomolecular reaction mechanism.

        Revenue-Generating Schemes for International Unions

        This paper investigates possible options for generating revenue in international unions. The empirical evidence is found for three types of revenue-generating schemes: contributions, direct taxes, and the combination of two. Discussion of peculiarities, advantages and shortcomings of each scheme led to the conclusion that financial needs, interstate heterogeneity, objectives and success of integration are the key factors determining the choice of a revenue-generating scheme. There is no clear pattern in the distribution of the schemes among different international unions. However, mixed scheme becomes more preferable to ensure sustainable financing international unions. Also, direct tax scheme would be the infant stage of a tax union that had no precedent in the modern history of economic integration.

        Derivation of Yongeon in Korean Language: Morpho-stylistic Aspects

        이 논문은 현대 한국어에서 용언(用言)을 파생하는 어휘소와 관련하여 접사가 갖는 표현 방법을 다룬 것이다. 문체에 따라 바뀌는 접사의 다양함은 평가적 접두사를 중심으로 하여 이들은 다양한 표현력을 갖는 동사와 형용사를 제공한다. 접사는 언어의 많은 부분, 예를 들면 형용사, 동사, 부사 등 단어 형성에 기여한다. 그리고 이 각 부분은 접사의 표현력을 서로 다른 식으로 보여준다. 그러므로 동사와 형용사에 붙는 접사를 붙여 얻는 표현력에 관한 연구는 이 논문의 연구대상이 된다. 이에 근거하여 본 논문에서는 파생어의 의미론적 구조에 미세한 문체론적 차이를 더해주는 접사에 관한 연구가 수행되었다. 27개의 접사를 조사하였는데 그 중 16개는 동사의 파생과 표현 능력을 보여주었으며, 11개는 한국어의 형용사의 표현 능력을 보여주었다. 이 연구는 용언에 한정되었다. 앞으로 한국어의 부사의 파생에서 오는 형태-문체론적 특징에 초점을 맞추어 연구가 진행될 것이다. This paper considers the means of affixation expressiveness in modem Korean language in regard to yongeon - verbs and adjectives. Emphatic affixes give the derivates various expressive or emotional connotations. The derived lexemes demonstrate different intensiveness of connotation, thus evaluating an action, condition, quality etc. Undoubtedly, prefixes of Korean languages have different meanings. However, this article offers only those examples, in which the stylistic function of expressiveness, connotative shade of meaning etc., is distinctly revealed Each part of speech reveals expressiveness of affixation in different way. While nouns demonstrate productivity of suffixation rather than prefixing in creation of expressively or emotionally colored words, the dominant role of prefixing in derivation of expressive verbs and adjectives is obvious. In the article we considered the way of derivation of verbs and adjectives with the help of affixes that add various stylistic shades of meaning to the semantic structure of the derived words. The investigator! revealed 16 affixes (prefixes) in the Korean language that are used to derive verbs with expressional semantics and 11 prefixes used to produce emphatic adjectives.

        An Analysis of Expressive Means of Korean Prefixing and Translation of Its Products into Russian (A Focus on Nouns)

        본 논문은 한국어에서 접두사 첨가를 통한 표현 수단들의 분석과 접두사들을 성분으로 가지고 있는 문체적으로 유표적인 활성명사 및 비활성명사들을 러시아어로 어떻게 번역할 것인가 하는 문제를 다루고 있다. 앞서 말한 이러한 표현 수단들은 파생어에 다양한 뉘앙스를 부여하는 평가적 의미의 접두사들을 포함하고 있다. 한국어에 존재하는 접두사 중에서 문체론적인 (stylistic) 의미를 지니고 있는 접두사만을 본 논문에서 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 유감스럽게도 현존하는 한-러 사전들은 접두사 조어 방식을 통한 감정적으로 표현된 어휘들에 대해 명확한 정의를 내리지 못하고 있고, 설령 수록되어 있는 어휘들도 표현하고자 하는 세세한 뉘앙스를 전적으로 반영하지 못하고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 공백을 메우고자 하는 작업의 일환으로 해당하는 한국어 어휘들의 러시아어로 적절한 번역의 가이드라인을 제시하고 있다. 16개의 접두사가 첨가하는 각 17개 파생 패턴별로 94개 어휘의 의미구조를 분석하여 번역을 제시했다. This paper considers the means of prefixing expressiveness of Korean language in regards to nouns denoting human-beings, objects of abiocoen and different phenomena (non-animate nouns) and suggests translation of such derivates into Russian. The variety of ``stylistically charged`` prefixes provides derivates with various expressive (i.e. augmentative) semantics and various (pejorative, disdainful etc.) tints of meaning. Thus, only those prefixes which have above-mentioned properties comprise the object of study in this paper. Unfortunately, the existing Korean-Russian dictionaries either do not list stylistically colored products of prefixal derivation, or do not fully display their expessiveness. Thus, in order to fill this gap this article suggests an analysis of 17 word-building patterns, which reveal the expressive potential of prefixes in the Korean language. These 17 patterns employ the usage of 16 prefixes. As a result, the structure of 94 derived lexemes was studied and their suitable translation into Russian language was suggested.

        Korean Pronouns and their Correlates in Tunguso- Manchurian Languages

        The origin of Korean language has not been clarified yet, though it was often analyzed from the standpoint of its relation to Altaic family. The study of pronouns in comparative linguistics is very important for investigation of language’s origin and relation to other languages. Korean is hypothetically considered to belong to Altaic language family. Therefore the attention was drawn to Tunguso-Manchirian group of languages as to the most appropriate data from the point of view of close relation to Korean among other Altaic languages. Tungusic and Manchurian languages are the most fruitful material to investigate genetic ties of Korean, because they were for a long time the closest neighbor of Korean among other languages of Altaic family. This article is a preliminary approach to reveal the problem of possible Korean pronouns` ties, especially focusing on those of them whose origin is impossible to explain in terms of Korean language data only. I also focus attention at some of morphemes which constitute Korean pronouns. Thus, about 24 parallels have been analyzed in this paper, though clarification of Korean language origin and its etymology requires further detailed study from various linguistic approaches.
