ABSTRACTThe Purpose of this study is to find the effect of learning by wordless picture story books and learner control type of computer program on children’s creative thinking. The subjects were 28 children 5 years of age private S kindergarten in A city. Instruments were Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking. The data were anayzed by indepedent sample t-test. The findings are as follows: (1) Learning by wordless picture story books show an effective result to divergent thinking. (2) Learning by learning by wordless picture story books and learner control type of computer program show an effective result to story comprehension competence.

Antifungal activities of the two antifungal substances, HWY-87 and HWY-89 extracted from Corydalis turtschaninovii were examined using several yeast types and filamentous fungi including C. albicans and A nidulans. The antifungal activities of the two substances were also compared with two comercial antifungal drugs, KCZ and MCZ and the result reads as follows. 1. The activity spectrum of the antifungal substances on C. albicons showed the concentration of 5ug in HWY-89, 25ug in HWY-87, 5ug in MCZ, and 50ug in KCZ and the inhibitory effect on cell growth showed statistically significant difference. (P<0.001) 2. Yeast type fungi, C. albicans, Cr. neoformans and S. sereviziae showed the inhibitory effect in the cell gorwth at the concentration of 25ug in HWY-89. 3. In filamentous fungi, Al, mali, the cell growth inhibitory zone was significantly formed at the concentration of 50ug in MCZ. (P<0.01) 4. In the index of the growth of C. albicans, the fungicidal effect showed at the concentration of 25ug in HWY-89 in four hours. 5. In the experiment of the survival of A. nidulans, fungicidal effect showed at the concentration of 50ug in HWY-89 and MCZ in eight hours. As the result, HWY-89 of antifungal substances extracted from Corydalis turtschaninovii showed the strong antifungal effect and showed higher antifungal effect in yeast type fungi than filamentous fungi.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of force of ipsilateral versus contralateral cane usage on knee moments in healthy young adults. Methods: A convenience sample of 10 subjects volunteered for this study. Subjects walked over a force plate under three different conditions; unaided and ipsilateral cane and contralateral cane. Analysis of data on moment of the knee joint and ground reaction force was performed using the OrthoTrak program. Results: Flexion moment of the knee was decreased with the contralateral cane, but increased with the ipsilateral cane compared with normal gait. Extension moment of the knee was decreased with the contralateral cane compared with normal gait(p<0.05) and it was showed a greater decrease with the contralateral cane than with the ipsilateral cane gait(p=0.00). Valgus moment of the knee joint was increased with the ipsilateral cane but decreased with the contralateral cane. Vertical ground peak force was decreased with the ipsilateral cane compared with normal gait (p<0.05). Conclusion: The following conclusions were drawn from our data. Contralateral cane gait is more efficacious for persons with weakness of knee extensors, however, for a patient with varus deformity, the cane should be used in the ipsilateral hand.
식이단백질과 지방의 수준에 따른 흰쥐의 혈청 유리아미노산 패턴에 관한 연구

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of different protein and fat levels on serum free amino acid pattern in Sprague-Dawley strain male rats. Rats were fed with 6%, 15% and 30% of different protein level of dietary casein diet with 2% and 30% of dietary fat. Results are as follows 1. The body weight gain were lowest in 6% casein diet group and there was significant differences among different protein levels. 2. The 6% casein diet group showed lowest value of PER and FER. 3. The organs weight were the lowest in 6% casein diet group. 4. There was no significant difference in liver protein content among different protein levels. 5. The level of total protein was lowest in 6% casein diet group. 6. The 6% casein diet group was affected by fat level differences in serum free amino acid pattern, but 15% and 30% casein diet group were not affected by fat level differences.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Rhythmic Stabilization(RS) and Combination of Isotonic(CI) of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation on balance in patients with hemiplegia. Methods : Ten patients with hemiplegia were trained with RS and CI for six weeks. Two Standard Scale(TSS), Functional Reach Test(FRT), Time Up and Go test(TUG) and Berg Balance Scale(BBS) were used to prove their improvement of balance. Results : Body weight bearing decreased on less affected side and increased on more affected side. Distance of forward reaching for FRT increased. Time for TUG decreased. BBS score increased. They all showed significant difference. Conclusion : This study suggests that balance training with RS and CI of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation improved balance in patients with hemiplegia.

The purpose of this study was to investigate Ca metabolism and nutrient status in menopausal women. The subjects were 11 healthy post & premenopausal women. Their environmental factors and dietary intakes were surveyed through the personal interview. Serum Ca, p, PTH, calcitonin levels and urinary, fecal Ca and P were measured to estimate Ca and P metabolism. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. The average age was 47 years old in premenopausal women and 49 years old in postmenopausal women. 2. The nutrient status did not show any significant differences between the premenopausal and postmenopausal women. 3. Serum Ca, p, PTH and calcitonin levels also did not show any significant differences between the premenopausal and postmenopausal women. 4. Urinary and fecal Ca excretion did not show any significant differences between the premenopausal and postmenopausal women. But Ca balance and Ca absorption rate were decreased significantly in postmenopausal women than in premenopausal women(P<0.05). And Ca balance of 47 years old woman who had been ovarisectomized was lower than that of all the other subjects. 5. Fecal P excretion, P balance and P absorption rate did not show any significant differences between the premenopausal and postmenopausal women. But urinary P excretion was increased significantly in postmenopausal women than in premenopausal women(P<0.05)
