Objective:The purpose of this study was to know about the mechanism of pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus by using of blood glucose, glucoregulatory factor, insulin resistance in schizophrenic patients receiving antipsychotics. Method:Modified oral glucose tolerance tests were performed in 20 schizophrenic patients receiving haloperidol, risperidone and olanzapine. Insulin, glucagon, C-peptide and cortisol were measured in 0, 15, 45, 75 minutes after glucose loading, and insulin resistance was calculated by HOMA(homeostasis model assessment) method. Result:Olanzapine-treated patients had significant glucose elevation 45 minutes after glucose challenge. Also modest increases in HOMA IR values were detected in patients treated with olanzapine. Conclusion:Olanzapine treatment of non-diabetic patients with schizophrenia can be associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus through the elevation of glucose and insulin resistance. Elevated insulin resistance may be a causative mechanism of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients receiving olanzapine.
독립성분분석(ICA)법을 이용한 모드특성 추정에 관한 연구

Independent component analysis (ICA) is a method separating the mixture of signals into statistically and mutually independent ones. It has been applied to not only the Cocktail-party problem but also EEG analysis using the EEG waveform, digital signal processing, image processing and cognitive technique field actively. This study aims to propose a procedure to estimate the modal responses and mode shapes of a structure by using the ICA method from analyzed responses of the structure, which is first attempt to the architecture and civil engineering works field. It is introduced a basic concept of ICA with the fixed-point (FP) algorithm based on secant method and the kurtosis. From the concept of the separation performance of mixed-signal, modal responses and mode shape of a building structure are estimated based on ICA method. For the verification of the ICA method, a numerical simulation is performed. In the simulation, it is assumed that the mode shape and time history of the structural responses had been known through the dynamic analysis and state space analysis of a structure. Then, some parts of responses of the structure are chosen from analysed responses and those are used as input responses to estimated the modal responses and mode shape of a structure by the ICA method. From the numerical results, it is shown that the ICA method can be effectively applied to the mode separation and the estimation of modal properties of structure.
완충재의 동특성에 따른 중량충격음 증폭에 관한 해석적 연구

Previous experimental results performed by many researchers for a couple of decades in South Korea have shown that an absorbing sheet inserted in a conventional floating slab system for thermal insulation or vibration absorption may amplify the vibration of the slab system at specific frequency ranges depending on the material properties of the sheet. The amplified vibration, consequently, results in the heavy weight floor impact noise exceeding the sound level limit for an apartment house, 50 dB. In this study, the amplification mechanism is examined through numerical analysis and a new slab system is proposed to reduce the amplification and control the noise. The new slab system consists of studs connecting the base slab and upper concrete finishing yielding the dramatically increased stiffness of the slab. The numerical simulation is performed to investigate the effect of the slab system with studs on the vibration and noise control. The results show that the performance of the slab is sensitive to the number and location of studs, and the heavy weight floor impact noise can be reduced up to 6~7 dB compared to the conventional slab system at the optimal stud location.

통신 기술의 발달로 인한 사람과 사람, 장치와 장치, 사람과 장치 간의 연결성의 증가와 저장 매체 기술의 발달, 그리고 데이터 저장 비용의 감소로 인해 데이터의 양이 폭발적으로 증가했다. 데이터 량의 증가 외에도 새로운 형태의 데이터인 비정형 데이터도 발생하게 되었다. 비정형 데이터의 증가속도는 누구도 예측할 수 없는 정도이며, 빅데이터 처리에서 차지하는 비중이 점점 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 비정형 데이터를 관리하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는데 그 중 이미지 분류는 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서 가장 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 분야 중 하나이다. 이에 따라 다양한 형태의 대규모의 데이터를 빠른 시간 내에 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 cloud computing 기술이 주목 받고 있고, cloud computing을 위한 오픈소스 기반의 솔루션 또한 많이 나타나게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 cloud 상에서 이미지를 분류해주는 시스템에 관한 연구를 하고자 한다.
가상의 단자유도 질량동조기를 이용한 진동수 영역에서의 구조물의 모드특성 추정

The aim of this study is to propose a new output-only system identification technique using a virtual 1-DOF mass tuner(VMT) which is analogous to the tuned mass damper and has a characteristics to amplify the response of the measured acceleration responses of building structure. The VMT is a kind of modal filter that its response is maximized in the range of the natural frequency of a structure, and damping ratio of the structure can be identified using the response ratio of VMT at the different damping ratios consisting the VMT. Also, it is shown that the modal parameters can be precisely estimated if the VMT were applied to the mode response separated with mode decomposition method in the state space. For the verification of the proposed technique, the identification process is applied to the measured acceleration responses from 40 story steel frame structure when typhoon approached to the building. From the numerical simulation, it is found that the modal responses are well separated in the state space, the modal parameters are precisely identified with the proposed modal property estimation method.
