In this study, the activation energy, escape frequency and kinetic order for traps in ?? ion implanted polyester are investigated from TSC curve. The activation energy of ?? ion implanted polyester obtained from the TSC curve is 3.35 eV, and the relations between the TSC intensity ?? and the ?? ion energy E, and the ?? ion flux Φ are determined to be ??=???? and ??=???, which means that the TSC is of the 2nd kinetic order.

The excited state cross section of He, Ar, and N_2 were determined using trapped electron method and growth rate method, which was used in charge exchange phenomena study The electron gun, which was designed and constructed in this study, had 0.7 eV half width in 20eV energy. The excited state cross sections were (6.97±0.9)×10^-18㎠, (1.16±0.19)×10^-17㎠ and (4.16±0.81)×10^17㎠ for 2^3S of He, 3 ^3P of Ar, and A^3 ∑^u of N_2, respectively. An present results were in good agreement with other result.
Anthracene이 확산된 Polyethylene의 γ-선 유도 Trap Depth

Two peaks were observed in the thermally stimulated current in anthracene doped LDPE after γ-irradiation. The magnitude of TSC at peaks was enhanced by the introduction of authracene atoms. As V_TH increased, the trap depths decreased. The trap depths for 65℃ peak and 105℃ peak when F=0 are 0.86eV and 0.98eV, respectively. the experimental TSC curve was in good agreement with theoretical one.

A new soil moisture initialization scheme is applied to the Korea MeteorologicalAdministration (KMA) Global Seasonal forecasting system version 6 (GloSea6). It is designedto ingest the microwave soil moisture retrievals from Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) radiometerusing the Local Ensemble Transform Kalman Filter (LETKF). In this technical note,we describe the procedure of the newly-adopted initialization scheme, the change of soil moisturestates by assimilation, and the forecast skill differences for the surface temperature and precipitationby GloSea6 simulation from two preliminary experiments. Based on a 4-year analysisexperiment, the soil moisture from the land-surface model of current operational GloSea6 isfound to be drier generally comparing to SMAP observation. LETKF data assimilation showsa tendency toward being wet globally, especially in arid area such as deserts and TibetanPlateau. Also, it increases soil moisture analysis increments in most soil levels of wetness inland than current operation. The other experiment of GloSea6 forecast with application of thenew initialization system for the heat wave case in 2020 summer shows that the memory ofsoil moisture anomalies obtained by the new initialization system is persistent throughout theentire forecast period of three months. However, averaged forecast improvements are not substantialand mixed over Eurasia during the period of forecast: forecast skill for the precipitationimproved slightly but for the surface air temperature rather degraded. Our preliminary resultssuggest that additional elaborate developments in the soil moisture initialization are still requiredto improve overall forecast skills.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) National Typhoon Center has beenofficially releasing reanalyzed best tracks for the previous year’s northwest Pacific typhoonssince 2015. However, while most typhoon researchers are aware of the data released by otherinstitutions, such as the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) and the Regional SpecializedMeteorological Center (RSMC) Tokyo, they are often unfamiliar with the KMA products. Inthis technical note, we describe the best track data released by KMA, and the algorithms thatare used to generate it. We hope that this will increase the usefulness of the data to typhoonresearchers, and help raise awareness of the product. The best track reanalysis process is initiatedwhen the necessary database of observations—which includes satellite, synoptic, ocean,and radar observations—has become complete for the required year. Three categories of besttrack information—position (track), intensity (maximum sustained winds and central pressure),and size (radii of high-wind areas)—are estimated based on scientific processes. These estimatesare then examined by typhoon forecasters and other internal and external experts, and issuedas an official product when final approval has been given
