N/A For diet test in the diabetics, six Korean main dishes were chosen. They were composed of rice, wheat flour, five grains, bean, barley and Job's tears. Response in the blood glucose was evaluated at O min, 30 min, 60 min, 120 min, 180 min. after eating each foods mentioned above as a breakfast for 6 days. The results were as follows. 1) All diets showed maximal blood sugar level at 60 min. postprandial. 2) According to Glycemic Index, rice was 78.3%, wheat flour 71.6%, five grains 69.8%, bean 69% (corrected value), barley 65.7%, Job's tears 64.9% (corrected value). Therefore this study showed that high blood glucose response were seen in rice & wheat flour. Intermediate response in five grains & Bean, and Low response in barley & Job's tears. So, all in all, this study recommands that the barley and Job's tear should be included in the main diet in the diabetics.

The author has studied the pathogenecity of staphylococci isolated from 96 patient in Eul Ji General Hospital and nose of 50 medical and 50 nursing students in Chungnam National University. The results obtained were as follows: 1) In the staphylococci isolated from 96 patients, Staphylococcus aures and Staphylococcus epidermidis were 59.4%, 32.3% respectively. In the staphylococci isolated from nose of medical and nursing students, Staphylococcus aures was 15.4% and Staphylococcus epidermidis was 68.4%. 2) In the biotype of staphylococci isolated from patients, the rate of biotype 1 was 93.5%. 3) In the biotype 1 of Staphyloccus epidermidis isolated from patients and control groups, enzymatic activities were more active than other biotypes. 4) Crystal violet ring test of Staphylococcus epidermidis isolated from patients, biotype 1 was WR type 24.2%, SR type 72.4% and DR type 3.4%. 5) In the antibiotic test of Staphylococcus aures was resitant to Gentamycin 97%, Penicillin 79% and Staphylococcus epidermidis was resitant to Gentamycin 87%, Penicillin 84%. 6) In the multiple antibiotic resistance of staphylococci isolated from patients, Staphylococcus aures was resistant to 2 antibiotics 35.1%, 3 antibiotics 17.5%, 5 antibiotics 15.8% and Staphylococcus epidermidis was resistant to 3 antibiotics 32.3%, 4 antibiotics 19.4%, 5 antibiotics 16.1%.

The thymic cyst is a congenital or acquired disorder. Congenital thymic cyst may develop due to failure of the thymopharyngeal duct to obliterate. Acquired thymic cyst is developed from inflammation or neoplastic disorders. Thymic cyst had been first reported in 1897 and first successful surgical excisions of thymic cysts of the neck was in 1939, of the mediastimu was in 1947. We have experienced a case of anterior mediastinal mass in a 60 years old man who complained of headache and dizziness. We confirmed it with excision of mass which is thymic cyst in anterior mediastinum. So we present a case with the brief review of literatures.
