        Two Cases of Glomus Tumor Arising in Large Airway: Well Organized Radiologic, Macroscopic and Microscopic Findings

        Glomus tumors of the lung are rare benign neoplasm, originating from modified smooth muscle cells. The patients are usually presented with no or non-specific symptoms such as cough, dyspnea or hemoptysis. Although surgical treatment is considered as the treatment of choice, the endobronchial therapy can be applied to the patients who are unfit for surgical excision. Herein, we describe two rare cases of glomus tumor originated at large airway (trachea and main bronchus) without respiratory symptoms and review their characteristic radiologic, macroscopic and pathological features.

        A Case Report of IgG4-Related Disease Clinically Mimicking Pleural Mesothelioma

        An immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease is a recently emerging entity, and a few cases of IgG4-related disease in lung and pleura have been reported. Herein, we report the case of a 74-year-old man with IgG4-related disease of lung and pleura, clinically suspicious of malignant mesothelioma. Chest computed tomography showed diffuse nodular pleural thickening, and microscopic finding disclosed diffuse thickening of visceral pleura with infiltrations of many lymphoplasma cells with increased number of IgG4-positive plasma cells and a few multinucleated giant cells. It is important for pathologists and clinicians to recognize this rare entity and its histologic finding, because it can be confused with malignant tumors on the radiologic examination although it can be treated with steroid therapy.

      • 헬리콥터 전자식 비행제어시스템의 AC/RC 모드 제어기 설계

        본 논문은 헬리콥터 비행조종성능을 위한 비행제어법칙 설계에 대한 연구이다. 헬리콥터 비행조종성능 관련규격은 MIL-F-83300, ADS-33E 이 사용되고 있으며, 이러한 요구조건을 만족하기 위한 자세 명령 타입의 제어기가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 자세명령 타입의 제어기만으로는 항공기의 실제 운용에는 여러 가지 어려움이 있고, 고전적인 헬리콥터 제어기인 자세각 명령 타입의 제어도 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 자세 명령 타입의 제어법칙과 자세각 명령 타입의 제어법칙을 동시에 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 헬리콥터 모델은 BO-105모델을 사용하였으며, 로터 동력학을 포함한 비선형 시뮬레이션 모델로부터 정지비행에서 전진비행 속도별로 트림조건을 해석하여 선형모델을 생성하였다. 자세명령타입의 제어기는 명령모델 추종방식을 사용하였으며 자세각 명령타입의 제어기와 모드로직을 이용하여 통합하였다. This paper is regarding the helicopter flight control law design to enhance the handling quality performance. MIL-F-83300 and ADS-33E specifications are used as a standard, in order to meet this specifications, attitude command(AC) type controller is utilized in Helicopter Fly-By-Wire system. However, there are many difficulties in real operations to use only AC type controller. Therefore, classical helicopter controller such as rate command(RC) is also necessary. In this paper, the method to use there two types controller is suggested. As an dynamics model, BO-105 helicopter model is used and linear model from hover to forward speed is generated from nonlinear model including the rotor dynamics by trim analysis. AC type control law designed by model following control method and using the mode logic, these two controllers are integrated.

        Analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of theaqueous extract of Angelica dahurica

        Background: Angelica dahurica has been used in various clinical cases. Its taste is hot and its property is warm, dry and nonpoisonous. Its efficacy is to remove wind-damp, cure swelling and edema, exhaust pus, stop itching, rhinitis and leukorrhea. Object: To test through experiment Angelica dahurica's analgesic and anti-inflammatory efficacy. Method: Inject acetic acid as a pain-inducing substance to the mice and measure visceral pain bywrithing reflex. Inject carrageenan that is an edema-inducing substance to the rat's paw and measure volume of edema. Take thermal pain to mice with plantar test and measure paw withdrawal latency. Normal group is non Angelica dahurica-treated group and treated group is Angelica dahurica-treated group. Results: In acetic acid-induced visceral model, treatment with Angelica dahurica suppressed writhing reflex signifi- cantlyand dose-dependently. In carrageenan-induced paw edema model, treatment with Angelica dahurica suppressed carrageenan-induced paw edema. In plantar test model, no significant effect on the withdrawal latency of thermal stimulation-induced nociception was observed.         미립자 퇴적물의 침식거동에 관한 실험연구

        미립자 퇴적물의 침식거동에 관한 실험은 초기농도, pH와 응고시간의 증가에 따라 소형환형수조에서 실시되었다. 석영이 실험재료로사용되었다. 부유농도는 CCD Camera를 사용하여 측정되었다. 연구결과에서 석영의 침식률이 pH와 응고시간에 크게 영향을 받는 사실을 볼 수 있다. 중성(=pH6.8)일 경우 석영의 침식률이 급속히 증가되는 반면 산성(=pH4.2)일 경우 석영의 침식률은 서서히 증가되었다. 석영의 침식률은 증류수에서 응고시간이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 그러나 초기농도 7 g/L일 경우 침식률은 초기농도 1 g/L보다 높게 나타난다. 결과적으로 초기농도, pH 및 응고시간의 증가에 따른 석영의 침식한계전단응력의 범위는 약 0.013~0.035 N/m2이다. Experiments on erosional behaviour of fine-grained sediments were carried out in a small annular flume with increasing the initialconcentration, pH value and the consolidation time. Quartz was used as sediment material. The suspended concentrations were measuredusing a CCD Camera. Results indicate that the solution pH and consolidation time significantly affect the erosion rate of quartz. Under acid conditions(=pH4.2), the erosion rate of quartz was slowly increased, whereas in a neutral pH(=pH6.8), the erosion rate wasrapidly increased. The erosion rate of quartz decreased at increasing consolidation time in distilled water. However, the erosion rate ofthe initial concentration of 7 g/L was higher than that of the initial concentration of 1 g/L. Thus, the critical shear stress for erosionranged from approximately 0.013 to 0.035 N/m2under increasing the initial concentration, pH value and the consolidation time.
