실사 수준의 디지털 영상콘텐츠 제작기술

최근 흥행에 성공을 거둔 대부분의 영화는 첨단 CG 기술을 제작 공정의 50% 이상 활용하고 있으며 점차 영상 콘텐츠 제작에 CG 기술 사용 비율이 증가하는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 ETRI 디지털 콘텐츠 연구단에서 연구 개발중인 실사 수준의 디지털 영상콘텐츠 제작기술에 관해 소개한다. 개발 기술은 현장 요구가 많은 대표적인 CG 기술인 영상기반 모델링, 영상기반 렌더링, 디지털액터 표현, 디지털액터 상호작용, CG/실사합성 기술을 포함한다. 엑스트라급 디지털액터 및 디지털 환경 제작 도구를 개발하였으며, 최종적으로는 주연급 디지털액터 및 디지털 환경 제작 도구를 개발할 예정이다.

국내외 독서진흥정책에 대한 평가와 개선에 관한 연구

본 연구는 국내외 독서진흥정책에 대한 평가를 통해 독서 문화를 활성화시킬 수 있는 독서진흥 정책을 제안하는 것을 목표로 한다. "독서문화진흥법"을 중심으로 국내 독서진흥 정책에 대해 살펴보고, 해외 독서진흥 정책은 인프라 구축, 세제 지원법, 캠페인으로 유형화하였다. 그리고 독서진흥정책에 대한 체계적이고 구체적인 평가 작업을 위해 델파이 조사를 통해 전문가 집단의 의견을 수렴하였으며, 정책에 대한 인지 정도, 독서진흥에 기여정도, 여론지지 정도, 정책 시행의 현실성 등의 기준을 제시하였다. 또한 초점집단인터뷰를 실시하여 정책의 대상이자 독서를 하는 일반인들의 의견도 수렴하였다. 연구 결과, 독서가 교육적 도구가 아닌 즐거움의 도구라는 인식의 전환과 그러한 독서 문화 정착을 위한 사회적 캠페인을 활성화할 필요성을 확인했다. This research aims to provide alternative policy guidelines and suggestions to enhance reading culture in the country. Analyzing "Reading Culture Promotion Act", which is the keystone legal frame to promote readership in Korea, followed by major foreign policies, this study identified three main policy areas including 'Reading infrastructure', 'Tax support', and 'Public Campaign'. In addition, the study conducted Delphi survey of experts' assessments of how much is the recognition of, contribution to, pubic support of, and actual applicability to the reading promotion for the readers. Through the survey along with the Focus Group Interviews of different age groups, this study could develop useful guidelines and suggestions to strengthen existing reading promotion policies. The findings also suggest that the society should realize that reading is not just educational purpose but 'enjoyment' itself and for that matter, the government needs more careful and active public campaigns.

A generalized self organizing evolutionary algorithm and its efficient application to control problems

널리 쓰이는 진화 알고리즘은 크게 두가지가 있다. 유전 알고리즘과 진화 기법이 그것이다. 이들 알고리즘은 실행 전에 사용자가 정해주어야 하는 변수들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 두 알고리즘을 일반화시키고 집단의 크기, 교차변이 연산자 적용 확률 그리고 돌연변이 연산자 적용 확률과 같은 변수들을 알고리즘이 수행되는 동안 스스로 정하는 일반화된 자기 형성 진화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘의 타당성과 효용성은 시스템 동정화와 다개체 시스템 제어의 두가지 복잡한 제어 문제에 대한 적용을 통해 보여진다.

This study speculates on the poetic intent of Gojuk Choi Gyong-Chang centering on some of his poetry which has an open arrangement with regard to space but has psychologically closed arrangement, based on whether he used the artistic effect positively and actively in writing his poetry, or whether he broke it negatively. This study identified openness and closure in space and its psychological representation and the results are presented as follows: For this purpose, this study examined a few verses with an open arrangement in space and psychologically. In revealing his wishes and desires, and his will with regard to responsibility and integrity as a public man in his poetry, Gojuk was open in space or psychologically, that is, he was positive and active. ‘When he was with those he loved’ or ‘when he dealt with the teachings of a wise and sublime nature’, he opened his psychology to unconsciously open space in order to actively show his enthusiasm. Meanwhile, this study examined a few verses with closed arrangements of space psychologically. Gojuk was psychologically closed in an open space when he was separated from the missing, when he encountered strange and anxious futures or when he was faced with a world filled with desires for the pursuit of fame and wealth. He showed clear intent in writing poetry by setting arrangements in space while having the space closed psychologically. Just as a paradox becomes a stronger affirmation, so the poet's intent was highlighted through the use of open space while being closed psychologically. Thus, the spatial arrangement, closure and openness psychologically were a clue to understand his mind and intent in writing poetry.

지각대상자에 따른 제3자 효과 지각 변화의 원인

이 논문의 목적은 제3자 효과 지각에 초점을 맞춰 효과의 강도에 영향을 미치는 변인으로서의 쟁점에 대한 관여도와 수용자와 지각대상자의 관계를 조사하여 이를 통해 제3자 효과 지각의 근본 과정을 이해하는 것이다. 이 연구에 사용된 자료는 미국 중서부의 오하오주에 거주하는 성인 남녀를 대상으로 2003년에 실시된 전화설문조사를 통해 얻어졌다(n=524). 대부분의 제3자 효과 연구에서와 마찬가지로 이 연구의 결과는 제3자 효과 가설을 지지했다. 응답자들은 미디어의 흡연자에 대한 부정적 묘사와 천주교 신부의 성추문 뉴스보도의 두 경우 모두에 있어 미디어의 효과가 자신들보다는 타인에게서 더 크게 나타날 것이라 예상했다. 그러나 제시된 5개의 연구 가설 모두가 지지되지는 않았다. 연구가설 검증 결과를 종합해 보면, 특정한 지각대상자와 메시지의 관계가 분명할 경우 수용자의 미디어 효과 예상은 동기적 요소보다는 인지적 요소에 의해 결정될 가능성이 크다. 이 경우 사회적 거리는 무시되고 쟁점에 대한 관여도와 같은 지각대상자 고유의 특성이 중요시 되며 수용자의 관여도는 인지적 요소에 의한 제3자 효과 지각의 강화와 긍정적인 상관관계를 가진다. 이 결과는, 수용자나 지각대상자가 메시지와 잠재적인 연관성을 지닐 경우, 제3자효과 지각은 그러한 연관성이 어떠한 방식으로 현저화되는가에 따라 달라질 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 이 연구의 결과는 제3자 효과 지각이 프라이밍 효과 또는 틀 짓기 효과와 관련될 가능성을 제시하고 있다. The purpose of this manuscript was to investigate the effects of issue involvement and relation of perceivers to comparison targets on the magnitude of third person perceptions. The investigation was expected to help us to understand the underlying process of third person effect hypothesis. Data was collected from adult residents in Ohio, United States by telephone survey in 2003(n=524). Like most other third person effect studies, this study supported the hypothesis: Respondents perceived more media effects on others than themselves for both 'Negative media portrayals of smokers' and 'News coverage of Roman Catholic priest's sexual scandals'. Results of five hypothesis tests suggest that when relationship between a perceiver and a particular comparison target is present third person perception is explained more by cognitive components than motivational components. In this case, third person perception varies with comparison target's issue involvement while it is independent of social distance between the perceivers and the comparison target. Also, perceivers' issue involvement positively correlates with the magnitude of third person effect. Based on the results, it is concluded that when perceives or a comparison target is involved in a message cognitive processes accounting for the relationship can impact the magnitude of third person effect. An important theoretical implication of the study is that third person effect is, to some extent, related with framing effect and priming effect.

작성자의 공신력과 독자와의 유사성이 댓글의 품질평가에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 댓글의 품질에 대한 수용자의 평가 기준을 개별 댓글의 전문성(expertness)과 독자배려의 정도, 그리고 독자와 작성자의 사회적 유사성에 대한 지각을 중심으로 살펴보고 있다. 이를 위해 응답자들을 총 4개의 유사 실험집단에 배치한 후 실험처치를 한 세 가지 댓글을 제시하여 집단 간 차이를 분석했다. 실험처치 된 댓글은 댓글의 전문성, 독자배려의 정도 그리고 작성자의 사회적 정체성을 달리 지각할 수 있는 단서를 포함하고 있다. 연구 결과, 댓글의 작성자와 청자의 사회적 거리를 작게 지각할수록 댓글의 품질을 높게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 댓글을 쓴 사람이 자신과 같은 사회적 집단에 소속되었다고 판단할수록 그 댓글의 품질을 높이 평가했다. 또한 주장의 근거 수와 질로 조작적으로 정의된 전문성의 경우를 보면, 전문성이 높을수록 댓글의 품질을 우수한 것으로 평가했다. 그러나 독자 배려의 정도와 댓글의 품질평가는 유의미한 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to examine what factors affect evaluation of the quality of Daetgeul. A total of 219 participants were exposed to three bogus Daetgeuls about a plastic surgery. Results revealed that perception of social distance between a writer and a reader was a significant predictor of evaluation of the quality of Daetgeul. Another independent variable expertness, which was operationalized as numbers of evidences and quality of the evidence supporting the argument, was found as statistically significant. However, the last independent vailable the way to treat opponents regarding the given issue was not significant.
