이슬람 5개 국가의 문화변화: 요르단, 말레이시아, 모로코, 터키, 이집트 비교연구

This study is an empirical analysis of changes in cultural values of Muslim countries. Specifically, Schwartz's ten values and the areas of conservatism/openness to change and self-transcendence/self–enhancement were analyzed. Very complex cultural change patterns in Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Turkey and Egypt were found. These five Islamic countries changed to consider tradition, safety and universalism as more important factors in common. In terms of conservatism/openness to change and self-transcendence/self–enhancement, the importance of self-transcendence, showed an increase in Malaysia, Egypt and Jordan. Turkey and Egypt have changed in the direction from increased openness to conservatism to change. Morocco and Malaysia have shifted toward less openness to change. 본 연구는 이슬람 국가의 문화가치관 변화를 실증적으로 분석한 연구이다. 슈워츠(Schwartz)의 10가지 가치관과 보수주의-변화개방과 자기초월-자기강화의 영역으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 요르단, 말레이시아, 모로코, 터키, 이집트의 경우 복잡한패턴을 보였지만 가치관의 변화를 보여주었다. 이들 5개 국가는 공통적으로 전통, 안전, 보편주의를 중요하게 여기는 경향이 강했다. 보수주의-변화개방과 자기초월-자기강화의 영역에서 말레이시아, 이집트, 요르단은 자기초월이 높아졌고 터키와 이집트는변화에 대한 보수주의에서 변화에 대한 개방성이 높아지는 방향으로 변화하였다. 모로코와 말레이시아는 변화에 대한 개방성이 낮아지고 보수주의 경향이 높아지는 방향으로 변화하였다.

A Dual-energy Material Decomposition Method for High-energy X-ray Cargo Inspection

Dual-energy X-ray imaging can provide material-specific image information, which is very useful in inspection tasks. Accurate and efficient material decomposition is desirable in such tasks, and we developed a fast and efficient dual-energy calibration method for high-energy X-ray cargo inspection. We designed a calibration phantom consisting of a half cylinder of lead and a half cylinder of carbon. We used a least-squares method to determine the material decomposition formula from the calibration-phantom data. To test the feasibility of the proposed method, we designed a cargo phantom in a simulation study. Material decomposition was successfully conducted, so we expect the proposed calibration method to play an important role in high-energy X-ray imaging for cargo inspection.

내쉬균형과 용의자의 딜레마에 대한 기호학적 분석: 기업경영전략 함의를 중심으로

This study analyzed the movie <A Beautiful Mind>, which deals with the biography of John Nash, who proposed the concepts of Nash equilibrium and the prisoner's dilemma in game theory, using Greimas' actant model and semiotic square model. The film's narrative structure consists of two episodes: the first is a kind of mating game situation that occurs in a bar that provides a clue to John Nash's 'balance theory', and the second is the protagonist's schizophrenia situation that runs through the entire film. and the will to overcome it. As a result of the analysis, the first episode showed well how the idea of Nash equilibrium was born, although the situation in the movie did not match well with the actual theoretical situation. And the second episode deals in detail with the main character's struggle with illness, unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy, and consists of overcoming schizophrenia with the main character's will along with the introduction of a helper according to Greimas' actant model. The narrative structure of the movie <A Beautiful Mind> derived from this study will provide implications for understanding the properties of Nash equilibrium in the future and applying the theory to the corporate management strategy. 본 연구는 게임이론에서 내쉬균형과 용의자의 딜레마의 개념을 제시한 존 내쉬의 일대기를 다룬 영화 <뷰티풀 마인드>를 그레마스의 행동자 모델과 기호사각형 모델을 활용하여 분석했다. 영화의 서사구조는 두 가지 에피소드로 구성되어 있는데, 첫째는 존 내쉬의 ‘균형이론’에 대한 실마리를 제공하는 술집에서 발생하는 일종의 짝짓기 게임의 상황이고, 둘째는 영화 전체를 관통하는 주인공의 정신분열증 상황과 이를 극복하려는 의지를 다루고 있다. 분석결과, 첫 번째 에피소드에서는 영화상의 상황과 실제 이론상의 상황이 잘 맞지는 않지만 내쉬균형의 아이디어가 어떻게 탄생했는지를 잘 보여주었다. 그리고 두 번째 에피소드는 현실과 환상을 구분하지 못하는 주인공의 투병생활을 자세히 다루고 있으며 그레마스의 행동자 모델에 따라 조력자의 도움과 함께 주인공의 의지로 정신분열증을 극복한다는 내용으로 구성되어 있었다. 본 연구에서 도출한 영화 <뷰티풀 마인드>의 서사구조는 향후 내쉬균형을 이해하고 그 이론을 기업경영전략에 응용할 경우에 바람직한 정책적 시사점을 줄 것이다.
