The purpose of this study is to verify the impact on social responsibility activities of food service companies on trust of and the intention of paying premium prices. Social responsibility activities were eco-friendly products, volunteer activities, and donation activities, and trust and premium price payment intentions consisted of one element. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, an online survey was conducted using convenience sampling methods of non-probability sampling methods of those who are aware of the social responsibility activities of restaurant companies and have purchased products of the restaurant companies. The results of the hypothesis are as follows . (1) Eco-friendly products and volunteer activities have a positive impact on customer trust. (2) Trust has a positive effect on the intent to pay the premium price. (3) Eco-friendly products and volunteer activities affect the intention of paying the premium price through the medium of trust in customers. The results of this study present theoretical and practical implications for the social responsibility for food service companies.

This study is to examine the validity of assessing basic-level proficiency in physics among incoming engineering freshmen through item analysis and standard setting. For empirical analysis, we examined the physics subject taken by the freshman class of 2021 at K University, considering its significance for engineering students. In this study, we initially performed item analysis utilizing both classical test theory and item response theory. Subsequently, leveraging the item and test information, we employed a modified Angoff method and the Bookmark method for standard setting. Consequently, the difficulty level initially set during item development was found to be higher than the actual performance level exhibited by the students. This study highlights a discernible disparity between the expected university standard and the real proficiency level of incoming freshmen in terms of basic academic ability in physics. Based on these research findings, a comprehensive discussion on the fundamental academic competence of engineering students was conducted, underscoring the necessity for formulating a tailored learning approach leveraging the outcomes from the basic ability test.

Cancer developes through the interaction of genetic and environmental factors. Cancer progresses through the accumulation of multiple genetic mutation and epigenetic changes. Diet constituents, by itself or its metabolite, regulate transcription of gene and are related to signal of proliferation, apoptosis, carcinogen metabolism and repair of DNA. Recently, it is known that tumor suppressor gene is inactivated by methylation of CpG island. It is not clear that epigenetic mechanism, especially abnormal methylation of the promoter gene, is related in colorectal adenoma. We investigated the methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) polymorphism (C677T and A1298C) and methylation of the promoter gene in colorectal adenomatous polyp patients in contrast to control cases with normal mucosa. Test cases (n=14) were diagnosed with colonoscopically confirmed adenomatous polyps in bundang hospital of Seoul National University control cases (n=6) were obtained from bundang jesaeng hospital and with polyp-free by colonoscopy. C667T (28.6% vs 0%) and A1298C (71.4% vs 50%) of MTHFR polymorphisms were more frequent in adenomatous polyp patients. Abnormal methylation of promoter UCHL1 (50% vs 0%), E-CAD (35.7% vs 0%), p16 (21.4% vs 0%), BRCA1 (14.3% vs 0%), MAGE-A (21.4% vs 0%), GSTP1 (14,.3% vs 0%), DAP kinase (28.57% vs 16.7%) and ppENK (50% vs 33.3%) were more frequent in colorectal polyp patients than in controls. Purpose: Recently, concern of the college students' mental health has increased due to their continuous psychologic problems such as suicidal attempt. This study aimed to examine the correlation among depression, stress, self-esteem, and coping strategies of the medical students and also according to the academic year. Methods: The subject was 384 medical students of K medical school in Korea. Self-rating depression scale, stress scale, self-esteem scale was used for the survey, and academic stress and coping strategies of the students were asked. Frequency analysis, one-way ANOVA, t-test, correlation analysis was carried out. Results: Third year students were under most stress (F=5.67, p=0.000) and had the most students who were moderately (22.9%)and mildly depressed (6.3%). Stress form academic studies and grade was also the highest in third year students. For English fluency, freshmen students scored the top. Academic career stress and school culture stress were higher for year 3, 4, 5, 6 than year 1,2 students. Differences of the coping strategies by academic year was significant in emotional display. Students who showed high level of depression and stress, also students with low self-esteem used emotional display as their major coping strategy. Conclusion: Depending on their academic year medical students' level of depression and stress was different, and they did not use a variety of coping strategies. Therefore, a program which can give a diverse access to variety of coping strategies to relieve students' stress should be developed taking their characteristics of academic year into consideration.
