We can know that a prize winner is smaller than a non-prize winner and has an outstanding difference in the breadth of neck, the length of hands than a non-prize winner. So a man who has long legs, long hands and a thin neck like a crane is excellent in body type when we compare a prize winner with a non-prize winner about body type in dance festival out of mojoring person in Korean dance. Also, we can know that a prize winner weighs less than a non-prize winner by a small difference and has a small chest circumference, small face, long length of arms and legs, and small breadth of face. But it was disclosed that a prize winner was thicker than a non-prize winner in the thickness of a thigh. We can know that a dance is a showing art and a long body type shows the expression of movement well visually by showing long about the length of moving line represented in the space of stage. But we can know that the thickness of a thigh in a prize winner is a result of Korean dance training. We also know that a man who is well built in the lower part of the body, especially muscle of a thigh is excellent than a man who has not in performing Korean dance.

N/A Background: Contraction of anal sphincter muscle produces severe pain in perianal surgery post- operatively. Recent reports have indicated that effective and prolonged pain relief can be obtained by the injection of small doses of morphine into the subarachnoid space. We attempted to use this technique for perianal surgery and investigated postoperative pain control and its side effects. Methods: Forty five patients scheduled for hemorrhoidectomy and anal fistulectomy were studied to determine the minimal effective dose of intrathecal morphine for postoperative analgesia. In order to control the pain, 7 mg of 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine with 0.05 mg (group I), 0.1 mg (group II) and 0.15 mg (group lII) of morphine hydrochloride was injected with a 25 gauge spinal needle into the subarachnoid space. We estimated the duration of analgesia until the pain score attained to above 3 in 10 cm VAS (visual analogue scale) and incidence of itching, nausea and vomiting by percentage, headache, backpain and respiratory depression by positive and negative. We also checked the time of self-voiding. Results: The mean time of analgesia was 10.3+1.54, 19.7+2.22 and 20.3+2.29 hours in group I, II and III respectively. Urinary retention of group I, II and III after block persisted for an average of 20.3+2.31, 21.2+2.51 and 23.3+ 3.74 hours. Nausea and vomiting were observed 33%, 53%, 67% and itching was observed 53%, 67%, 80% in group I, II and III respectively and respiratory depression did not occur in all groups. Conclusions: It is not necessary to use more than O. 1mg of intrathecal morphine in perianal surgery because analgesia is not prolonged and side effects are increased.
위암에서 MDR1 유전자 산물 ( P - glycoprotein ) 및 c - erbB - 2 단백의 과표현과 임상경과와의 관계

Objectives: Stomach cancer is the most common cause of death in Korea, The morphological criteria such as histological type, grade, and growth pattern have been used in the assessment of gastric cancer, but appear unable to predict which patients will have a more or less favourable clinical outcome. With the advent of molecular biology, newer methods of classification have become available which may help to overcome the problems associated with morphological parameters and also provide an insight into the underlying mechanisms involved in tumor developement. The aim of this study was to determine the overexpression of the MDR1 gene product(P-glycoprotein) and c-erbB-2 oncogene in the primary gastric cancer, and to analyze its association with clinical parameters and clinical outcome, Methods: The overexpressions of the P-glycoprotein and c-erbH-2 protein by an immunohistochemical staining were evaluated on 54 tissues of gastric cancer patients who were managed with curative gastric resection. Results: The overexpressions of P-glycoprotein and c-erbB-2 protein were observed in 23(43%) and 30(65%) out of 54 tumors. The overexpression of P-glycoprotein showed significant association with depth of invasion of tumor and the overexpression of c-erbH-2 protein showed significant association with histological type of tumor. In univariate analysis, patients with P-glycoprotein positive tumors had poorer survival rates than those with P-glycoprotein negative tumors(p<0.005). There was no relationship between the overexpression of c-erbH-2 protein and survival rate. Multivariate analysis showed that lymph node involvement and depth of invasion were the significant prognostic factor but P-glycoprotein and c-erbH-2 overexpression had no significance. Conclusion: In summary of above findings, the overexpressions of P-glycoprotein and c-erbH-2 protein could be seen in primary gastric cancer and The overexpression of P-glycoprotein showed significant association with depth of invasion of tumor and the overexpression of c-erbH-2 protein showed significant association with histological type of tumor.
얕은 불포화 및 포화 대수층을 모사한 SAT 토양칼럼에서의 하수처리장 방류수 처리 수질 변화

본 연구에서는 얕은 불포화 및 포화 대수층을 모사한 실험실 규모의 SAT 토양 칼럼을 약 5개월간 운전하면서 얕은 대수층 조건에서 하수처리장 방류수의 처리수질 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 유기물 (DOC)의 평균 제거율은 불포화 (unsaturated SAT) 칼럼의 경우 31.9%굶 높게 나타난 반면, 포화(saturated SAT) 칼럼에서는 DOC가 거의 제거되지 않았다. 얕은 대수층 조건을 모사한 불포화 토양 칼럼에서의 질산화는 충분하지 않은 것으로 나타났으며 잔류 암모니아가 포화대수층으로 유입되었다. 또한 얕은 불포화 칼럼에서의 짧은 체류시간(1 day)으로 인해 포화 칼럼 유입수의 DO가 약 2 mg/L를 유지했다. 인 (phosphate)은 불포화 칼럼에서는 제거되지 않고 그대로 유출되는 특성을 보였고, 포화 칼럼에서는 100% 제거되는 특성을 보였다. 결론적으로, 암모니아성 질소가 포화층으로 유입되고, 포화층 유 입수의 DO가 상대적으로 높다는 점을 제외하면 얕은 대수층 조건에서도 유기물 및 질소, 인의 제거가 충분하게 일어남을 알 수 있었다. Water quality changes of wastewater effluent in the shallow aquifier condition was investigated using laboratory unsaturated and saturated SAT columns for over five months. Average DOC removal was 31.9% in the unsaturated SAT column whereas no removal occurred in the saturated SAT column. Under the shallow aquifer condition, nitrification was not completed in the unsaturated SAT column, releasing residual ammonium nitrogen into the saturated SAT column. Short retention time (one day) in the shallow unsaturated SAT column rendered DO of about 2 mg/L to the influent of the saturated SAT column. Phosphate was not removed at all in the unsaturated SAT column while complete removal was achieved in the saturated column. Consequently, organic and inorganic compounds were removed under the shallow aquifer condition as effectively as was in deep aquifer, except for the release of ammonium and relatively high DO into the saturated SAT column.

Objectives : Tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) is an active ingredient in Ligusticum wallichii and has a wide range of neuroprotection effects. This study investigated anti-neuroinflammatory effect of TMP on brain regions in intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated C57BL/6 mice, Methods : TMP was administered intraperitoneally at doses of 10, 20, and 30 mg/kg at 1 h prior to LPS (3 mg/kg) i.c.v. injection. mRNA level of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF- α), interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6, was measured in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and hypothalamus tissue using real-time polymerase chain reaction at 24 h after the LPS injection. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) positive cells in the hypothalamus was also observed using immunohistochemistry at 24 h after the LPS injection, Results : At a dose of 30 mg/kg TMP significantly attenuated up-regulation of TNF-α and IL-1β mRNA in the cerebral cortex and IL-1β mRNA in the hippocampus. In the hypothalamus, doses of 20 mg/kg and 30 mg/kg TMP significantly attenuated up-regulation of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 mRNA induced by the LPS injection. In addition, TMP (30 mg/kg) significantly reduced the number of COX-2 positive cells in the hypothalamus, Conclusion : These results indicate that TMP has an anti-inflammatory effect on neuroinflammation, especially in the hypothalamus, induced by LPS i.c.v. injection and suggest that TMP-containing Ligusticum wallichii may play a modulatory role on the systemic responses following hypothalamic inflammation.

Mechanical and physical properties of wood fiber for the reinforcement of thin-sheet cement products were investigated. The slurry-dewatering method followed by pressing was used to manufacture the products. Mechanical and physical properties of wood fiber reinforced cement composites were assessed with flexural strength, density, and water absorption. The results obtained in this study were analyzed statistically using the analysis of variance in order to derive statistically reliable conclusions.
