        생활도로에서의 충돌사고 예방을 위한 객체 충돌 감지 알고리즘 개발

        Traffic safety issues have recently been seriously magnified, due to child deaths in apartment complexes and parking lots. Accordingly, traffic safety technologies are being developed to recognize dangerous situations on living roads and to provide warning services. In this study, a collision detection algorithm was developed to prevent collision accidents between moving objects, by using object type and location information provided from CCTV monitoring devices. To determine the exact collision between moving objects, an object movement model was developed to predict the range of movement by considering the moving characteristics of the object, and a collision detection algorithm was developed to efficiently analyze the presence and location of the collision. The developed object movement model as well as the collision detection algorithm were simulated, in a virtual space of an actual living road to verify performance and derive supplementary matters.

        골재 크기와 분포 특성을 분석하기 위한 골재 인식 알고리즘 개발

        Crushers are equipment that crush natural stones, to produce aggregates used at construction sites. As the crusher proceeds, the inner liner becomes worn, causing the size of the aggregate produced to gradually increase. The vision sensor-based aggregate analysis system analyzes the size and distribution of aggregates in production, in real time through image analysis. This study developed an algorithm that can segmentate aggregates in images in real time. using image preprocessing technology combining various filters and morphology techniques, and aggregate region characteristics such as convex hull and concave hull. We applied the developed algorithm to fine aggregate, intermediate aggregate, and thick aggregate images to verify their performance.

      • 비균질 반투명 재질의 모델링과 렌더링

        This paper presents a method to synthesize solid textures from heterogeneous translucent materials that have a complex pattern and subsurface scattering effect. A solid texture provides consistent texture throughout the volume, so that it can be used to model the texture on an arbitrary geometry. However, the solid texture synthesis requires a huge amount of time to generate the volume. Moreover, a synthesized solid texture acquires only the color information from an input exemplar. Therefore, it has been difficult to render the appearance of a translucent object realistically without additional appearance data. This paper introduces a new search method to accelerate synthesizing of solid textures. This method decomposes the candidates in an exemplar into several subgroups and searches for the best similar neighborhood in each decomposed subgroup. The proposed method can reduce the total computational time to less than a half, due to the use of a small number of candidates in the subgroup. This paper also applies subsurface scattering effects using the measured scattering data and the shell-based rendering method for realistic rendering of a synthesized solid texture. This rendering method is available due to densely measured data and full volume information. Experimental results show that this rendering method can produce realistic rendering results for various heterogeneous translucent objects. It can also represent cross-sections of an object realistically without reconstructing the texture and surface geometry.

        자동 절단과 부하 감응 제어 기술을 적용한 양날 도로절단기 개발

        With the recent development of intelligence and automation technologies for construction machinery, thedemand for safety and efficiency of road-cutting operations has continued to increase. In response to this, adouble-blade road cutter has been developed that can automatically cut roads. However, a double-blade road cutterhas a load difference between the two blades due to the ground and wear conditions of the cutting blades. Thedifference in load between the two blades distorts the direction of travel of the cutter. In this study, a visionsensor-based driving guide technology was developed to correct the driving path of road cutters. In addition, wedeveloped a load-sensing technology that detects blade loads in real-time and controls driving speed in the event ofoverload.

        The purpose of network administration is to give clients the high quality services of well-managed stability and efficiency. Contemporary network administration has been managed by the way of controlling network elements through network status monitoring. The larger in scale and the more complex the network is, the more complicated and difficult network administration has become because of the obstacles which are simultaneously occurred. Therefore, the PBNM(Policy-Based Network Management is proposed to ensure the simplicity and automatism in the administration of computer networks. Recently, the DMTF which is a PBNM standards technology adapted to WBEM, DEN, and IETF is leading policy modeling. In the paper, We show a modeling and sharing of secure policy object-oriented and secured network administration by showing PBNM or reinforced LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). Also, LDAP server is applied iPlanet and suggested the way of how to share network security information and LDAP schema. Tested to manage policy information stored in LDAP server by domain browser using Ponder toolkit that is PMT (Policy Management Tool).

        재난재해 현장의 지형인지를 위한 통합 센서 모듈 개발

        A special purpose machine with two manipulators and quadruped crawler system is being developed to work at disaster sites where it is intended to quickly respond in the initial stages after the event. In this study, a terrain recognition module is developed so that the above special purpose machine can quickly obtain ground information to help choose its path while recognizing objects in its way, this is intended to enhance the remote driver's limited situational awareness. Terrain recognition modules were developed for two tasks (real-time path guidance, precision terrain measurements). The real-time path guidance analyzes terrain and obstacles while moving, while the precision terrain measurement feature provides more accurate terrain information by precisely measuring the ground in front of the vehicle while stationary. In this study, an air-cooled sensor protection module was developed so that the terrain recognition module can continue its vital tasks in the event of exposure to foreign substances, including scattered dust, mist and rainfall, as well as high temperatures.

        비전센서를 이용한 강교량 재도장 로봇의 주행 모니터링 모듈 개발

        Recently, a re-painting robot was developed to semi-automatically conduct blasting work in bridge spaces to improve work productivity and worker safety. In this study, a vision sensor-based monitoring module was developed to automatically move the re-painting robot along the path. The monitoring module provides direction information to the robot by analyzing the boundary between the painting surface and the metal surface. To stably measure images in unstable environments, various techniques for improving image visibility were applied in this study. Then, the driving performance was verified in a similar environment.

      • 복합 재질의 효과적인 가시화

        본 논문에서는 다른 광학적 특성을 가진 다수 재질로 이루어진 복합 재질을 효과적으로 가시화 할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 복합 재질의 외관은 구성 재질의 광학적 반사/산란 특성과 표면 상태, 그리고 재질 간의 분포에 의해 영향을 받는다. 그래서 복합 재질을 사실적으로 가시화하기 위해서는 이러한 여러 외관 요소를 고려할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 복합 재질 중에서 가전 제품 등에 쓰이는 패턴 재질이나 인조 대리석처럼 상대적으로 구조가 단순한 재질을 대상으로 한다. 주어진 복합 재질의 외관을 효과적인 가시화를 위해서, 우리는 먼저 재질 구조와 성분 특성을 분석한다. 그리고 분석을 토대로 각 복합 재질에 적합한 모델링/렌더링 방법을 설계한다. 본 연구에서는 불투명 재질의 반사 특성을 표현하기 위해서 표면 반사(BRDF) 모델 또는 측정 데이터를 사용하고, 표면 상의 재질 분포를 모델링 하기 위해 텍스처 합성을 사용한다. 그리고 반투명 재질의 산란도를 계산하기 위해서 쌍극자 근사화 함수 또는 측정 산란 데이터를 사용한다. 우리는 결과 이미지의 비교를 통해서, 각 복합 재질의 가시화를 위한 방법의 타당성을 설명한다.

        재난 현장에서 이종 센서를 활용한 인명 탐지 기술 개발

        Recently, a special purpose machine with two manipulators and quadruped crawler system has been developed for rapid life-saving and initial restoration work at disaster sites. This special purpose machine provides the driver with various environmental recognition functions for accurate and rapid task determination. In particular, the human detection technology assists the driver in poor working conditions such as low-light, dust, water vapor, fog, rain, etc. to prevent secondary human accidents when moving and working. In this study, a human detection module is developed to be mounted on a special purpose machine. A thermal sensor and CCD camera were used to detect victims and nearby workers in response to the difficult environmental conditions present at disaster sites. The performance of various AI-based life detection algorithm were verified and then applied to the task of detecting various objects with different postures and exposure conditions. In addition, image visibility improvement technology was applied to further improve the accuracy of human detection.
