전통공예기술 짜임의 디자인요소 연구

전통의 가치를 현대 디자인에 적용하여 전통을 계승·보존하며 현대적 디자인에 활용을 위한 접근방법을 찾아 전통을 현대화할 수 있는 체계화된 디자인 방법이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 전통공예기술을 디자인과 접목하여 전통적 가치의 맥을 잇고, 현대 사용자의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 디자인 지원시스템 구축을 위해 전통공예기술인 짜임에서 사용자의 선호에 영향을 주는 요소를 추출하여 디자인에 적용하고 활용할 수 있는 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 그 기초연구로 짜임을 디자인에 적용하는데 있어 심미성과 기능성을 기준으로 선정하고 짜임에서 중요시 되는 디자인 요소를 추출하는 실험을 진행한 결과 요인분석을 통해 심미성과 기능성에서 전형성, 독창성, 시대성, 생산성, 안전성이 짜임에 영향을 주는 요소로 도출되었고, 유의성 분석을 한 결과 판재짜임과 연귀짜임이 각 요소별로 가장 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 향후연구에서 짜임의 감성요소로 추출된 요소와의 관계성을 알아봄으로써 짜임을 디자인에 적용하여 디자인할 때 가이드라인이 될 디자인 지원시스템 구축을 위한 지표로 활용될 수 있다. This study intends to provide the data to extract the elements that influence users` preference from "setting-up," a Traditional craft skills, and apply it to design and use it, so as succeed to the traditional values by connecting the Traditional craft skills with design and to establish a design-supporting system that can meet contemporary users` desire. In this light, this study, as a basic research, selects a sense of beauty and functional quality as a standard for applying setting-up to design and conducts an experiment to extract the elements of design that are important in setting-up. An analysis of factors based on the experiment reveals that in terms of a sense of beauty and functional quality, typical quality, creativity, historicalness, productivity, safeness are derived as elements that influence setting-up. And an analysis of meaningfulness tells that each element of Panjae Setting-up and Yeongui Setting-up is the most meaningful. This result shows that it is important to know the relationship with elements extracted as emotional elements, which can be useful as an index for establishing a design-supporting system that can serve as a guideline in designing through applying to design.

As the contemporary lifestyle has changed and the time to enjoy hobbies is increased. people prefer the DIY furniture that can be used at homes by manufacturing their own unique furnitures. Especially, the architecture of our country handed down traditionally or the setting-up technique used in furnitures are the techniques to maintain firmness even after long time passes by. Accordingly, in order to supply a firm setting-up technique mostly used by craftsman in the manufacture of DIY furniture and to apply this easily, a web site and 3D program system are required. In order to do so, it is important to prepare the system of setting-up that can be followed easily first by classifying the difficulty of setting-up that the general public can follow easily without having difficulties among the types of setting-up. Therefore, this study has performed a systematic arrangement by the order of difficulty for the types of setting-up that are investigated and arranged to set the purpose as presenting materials that are helpful so the furnitures using setting-up can be manufactured even in the manufacture of general DIY furnitures, Accordingly, the investigated results of setting-up difficulty are applied in the order of difficulty to a 3D program and as users select the suitable setting-up for their own standard, it is expected to be utilized in DIY furnitures that are manufactured directly.

전통공예기술 짜임의 사용자 감성요소 연구

본 연구의 궁극적 목표는 전통의 가치를 계승·보존하고 현대 디자인에 활용을 위한 체계적이며 유효한 디자인 지원시스템을 구축하는 것이다. 이러한 연구의 목표 달성하기 위해서는 먼저 우리나라 전통공예기술 짜임의 특징을 파악할 수 있는 요소와 주요 디자인 요소와의 상관관계 파악이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 짜임과 디자인과의 상관관계 규명을 위한 기초연구로서 짜임의 사용자 감성요소를 분석하고자 한다. 짜임의 감성요소를 추출하기 위한 실험으로는 형용사 이미지 추출 실험인 SD법을 활용하였다. 그리고 실험으로 추출된 짜임의 형용사 이미지의 빈도에 따라 요인분석 걸과 짜임의 감성 형용사 이미지는 5가지 요인으로 분류되었고, 각 요인을 대표하는 짜임의 감성 요소는 "견고성, 단순성, 장식성, 규칙성, 전통성"이 도출되었다. 이렇게 도출된 짜임의 감성 요소는 향후 짜임과 디자인 요소 사이의 상관관계를 파악하기 위한 요소로 활용하고자 한다. This study intends to apply traditional values to modern design, and thereby succeed to traditions and preserve them, and find out an approach to use it for modern design, ultimately providing a systematic designing method that can modernize tradition Therefore, it aims to establish a design-supporting system for providing a direction of applying setting-up to modern design by comprehending correlation with other elements that are highly thought of in designing products and emotional elements that help understand the characteristics of setting-up so as to apply, so that it can be suitable for modern design. In this light, this study conducts an experiment to extract adjective images in order to extract emotional elements representative of setting-up by using the SD method as a basic research that extracts emotional elements that help comprehend the characteristics of setting-up in the whole research. An analysis of factors according to the frequency of these extracted adjective images shows that the adjective images of setting-up are classified into five kinds. Emotional elements representative of each factor are derived into "solidity, simplicity, quality of decoration, regularity, traditional quality. These derived emotional elements of setting-up are to be used as a standard for comprehending correlation between setting-up and design elements in the future.

기와 수막새의 조형적 요소를 응용한 제품개발연구

미디어의 발달로 현대는 세계적으로 각국의 문화와 정보교환이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이에 우리 문화유산인 전통소재를 이용한 제품개발은 우리의 고유문화를 세계로 알릴 수 있는 또 하나의 매개체라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우리나라 기와를 조사 분석하고 연구결과 파악된 조형 요소를 응용하여 전통과 현대를 융합한 현대 라이프스타일에 맞는 제품을 개발하고자 하였다. 기와의 종류 중 지붕의 앞면에 위치하여 다양한 문양이 새겨져 있어 장식성이 돋보이는 수막새를 연구대상으로 선택하고 조형 요소 추출을 위해 문양표현과 구조, 형태적 특징 등을 분석하여 개성이 넘치는 삶을 추구하는 현대인을 위한 아이템으로 조명과 플레이트에 접목하여 개발하였다. 제품개발에 있어서 수막새의 조형 요소를 최대한 살려 전통의 멋을 그대로 표현해보고자 하였으며, 장식적인 역할을 하는 문양은 기와가 만들어졌던 시대마다 가장 많이 사용되었던 연화문양을 제품에 맞게 단순화하여 적용하였다. 이렇게 개발된 제품은 우리의 일상 속에서 사용하면서 사용자들이 우리 것에 대한 관심이 증대될 것이고, 이러한 전통소재의 연구를 통한 다양한 제품개발이 우리 문화를 세계 속으로 파급시키기위한 방법으로 활성화될 수 있기를 기대한다. With the development of media, modern times are actively exchanging cultures and information around the world. Therefore, product development using traditional material, which are Korean cultural heritages, can be said to be another medium that can promote our unique culture to the world. Therefore, this study attempted to develop a product suitable for the modern lifestyle that combines tradition and modernity by investigating and analyzing Korean roof tiles and applying the formative elements identified as a result of the study. Among the types of roof tiles, a Sumaksai, which is located on the front of the roof and stands out for decoration, was selected as the subject of the study, and it was developed by combining it with lighting and plates as an item for modern people seeking a life full of personality. In product development, we tried to express the traditional style as it is by making the most of the elements of the Sumaksai, and the lotus pattern, which was most commonly used in each era when roof tiles were made, was simplified and applied to the product. As the products developed in this way are used in our daily lives, we hope that users’ interest in ours will increase, and that the development of various products through research on traditional material can be activated as a way to spread our culture around the world.
