현대 한국사회의 새로운 상담방향 모색: 다문화적 접근을 중심으로

The modern Korean society has swiftly changed to a multi-ethnics/cultural society due to increasing numbers of incoming foreign Laborers, students, and international marriages. In addition to common survival efforts for adjustment with foreign social regulations made by foreign Laborers and students, international marriage women are facing various psychological and cultural conflicts with interpersonal and communicational difficulties and are in need of counseling. The counseling services of the multicultural family supporting centers have focused on the assimilation of international wives` to the Korean cultural values and Life-styles. The multi-cultural counseling approach as new counseling model, therefore, is desperately required to help develop their own national/cultural identity. The multi-cultural counseling approach emphasizes counselors` abilities to be aware of the clients` cultural values, Life-styles, gender roles which may be quite different from the counselors`. Multicultural counselors should not only respect the clients` different cultural values and Life-styles, but also use counseling traditional theories and skills accustomed to their clients. It is also suggested that counseling psychologists are provided with good Learning opportunities such as multicultural counseling seminars and case studies along with supervision of assignments to participate in multicultural counseling services at the center of multicultural family supporting so that counselors may improve their own multicultural counseling knowledge and skills. It is also suggested that counselor education curriculum be revised and enlarged to include contents of multicultural counseling competencies.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between clients` expectations and styles of counseling in order to find out efficient counseling helping strategies for clients to settle down their problems, Styles of counseling have been understood in terms of social/cultural perspectives, The focus of this study however, was on the differences due to dients preferences of counseling styles based on their own counseling expectancies, The expectancy of counseling is divided into three areas such as expectancy of themselves of clients, counselors, and the process and results of counseling, The style of counseling is distinguished as a directive and a non-directive approach of counseling counselor imply during counseling processes, Using the Expectation About Counseling Questionnaire (EAC) and the Counselor Rating Form (CRF), this study examined whether there were: 1) differences in expectation scores of counseling across clients` variables such as gender, experiences of counseling. and living areas, 2) differences in preference scores of counseling style across clients` variables, 3) differences in preference scores of styles of counseling across clients` expectations of counseling, Participants, consisting of 186 college students who took a course of educational psychology, completed the Expectation About Counseling Questionnaire, the Counselor Rating Form, and a Demographic Questionnaire, The SAS statistical analysis program and t-test procedure were used to examine the three hypotheses. The results of SAS statistical analysis and t-test results indicated that there were some meaningful differences between the counseling styles and the expectation of counseling. and there were gender differences on the expectation of counseling, Female students expected more on confidentiality of counseling than male students did, However, no statistical differences were found on the experience scores of counseling and across the living areas, The t-test results also revealed that there were meaningful differences on the scores of counseling preferences across clients` variables, counseling experiences, and living areas of clients, Several implications for further researches in fields of clients` expectations and styles of counseling were made.

본 연구에서는 도시 브랜드 발굴 및 디자인 자원화를 위한 지역 경제이미지 구축이 필요한 시점에서 전통문화지구로서의 전주시의 공공시설물 디자인 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 실험에서는 지역공공자전거 개발을 위한 전주시 이미지 설문 분석결과 전체적으로 지역분위기에 침체되어 있는 상황이며 역동적이고 활동적인 문화 활동 및 미래지향적 그리고 역할 모델을 모색하고 있었다. 또한 전통을 컨셉으로 하는 주요 경쟁도시(안동, 경주, 춘천 등) 가운데 어떻게 차별점을 구축하고 변별력 있는 마케팅 구축이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.
