An instrumentation system to measure the pressure between elastic bodies and between an elastic and a rigid body has been developed. The force between elastic bodies can be measured only by Elastric- body pressure Meter. As a standard Elastic-body pressure Meter, Model RCG-24A consists of 24 pick-ups, one switch box and one amplifier and measuring is possible at each of 24 measuring spots by swithing one to the nest using the switch box. The system can be used in various specialized disciplines, such as ergonomics, anthropometry and biomechanics.

Domestic violence was ignored or disregarded ; even some nations showed a tendency for non-intervention. However, many countries have been making their efforts to prevent domestic violence since the late 20th century. The Republic of Korea is one of the countries which enforced special laws against domestic violence (SLDV) with an enthusiastic support and intervention from people of all social stratum. A considerable time has elapsed since the SLDV was enforced in Korea, but domestic violence has become a serious issue. It is still prevalent in the Korean society. If the police had dealt with each incident efficiently, domestic violence would not have become so serious. The intervention of the police at the initial stage and their active role in each incident are much more important than any actions taken by other governmental or social organizations. Since the police did not take any immediate and appropriate measures, the victim was unable to get out of the vicious cycle of domestic violence. Presumably, these results were caused by the police's lack of response ability and their improper measures. Thus, the problems found in the police's response to domestic violence and their initial actions should be resolved in order to promote their abilities to cope with the domestic violence. First of all, the police should recognize that the domestic violence is not a privacy, but a crime. And then they have to respond to the incident positively and actively. Not only their abilities to respond to the incident spot, but also their investigation abilities should be enhanced so that the victim could be protected from the perpetrator and interrogated without feeling shameful. It is also necessary the police take a regular community policing for the prevention of any recurring domestic violence. 가정폭력에 대해서는 대부분의 국가들이 묵인하거나 관용함으로써 가급적 개입하려 하지 않았으나 20세기 후반 들어 가정폭력이 심각한 사회문제로 대두되기 시작하면서 많은 국가가 이에 개입하여 가정폭력의 예방을 위해 다각적인 노력을 기울이고 있다. 우리나라에서도 가정폭력에 관한 특별법이 제정되어 시행되고 있으며 사회 각계에서도 적극 이에 개입하여 지원하고 있다. 그러나 법 시행 후 상당한 기간이 지났음에도 우리 사회에서는 아직도 가정폭력이 크게 만연되어 그로 인한 폐해가 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 이것은 정부기관이나 관련단체들이 여기에 효과적으로 대응하지 못했기 때문이라고 추측되는데, 이 중에서도 특히 경찰의 대응자세가 문제라고 할 수 있다. 가정폭력사건에 있어서는 경찰의 개입과 역할이 다른 정부기관이나 사회단체의 역할보다 가장 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 그럼에도 가정폭력 현장에서 경찰의 대응능력이 부족하여 피해자보호와 사건처리에 있어서 종종 많은 문제점이 나타나고 있는 게 현실이다. 이에 가정폭력에 대한 경찰의 대응능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 지금까지의 경찰의 대응실태에서 나타난 문제점들을 보완하고 개선해야 할 필요가 있다. 먼저 가정폭력에 대한 경찰의 인식을 전환하여 가정 내의 폭력이 개인의 사적 생활관계가 아닌 범죄행위임을 인식하고 종래의 방관자적인 태도에서 탈피하여 이에 적극적으로 개입하여야 한다. 가정폭력사건에 대한 현장에서의 대응능력이나 사후 면접조사능력을 향상시켜 가해자로부터 피해자를 안전하게 보호하고 피해자가 조사과정에서 이차적인 마음의 상처를 입지 않도록 배려하면서 사건의 실체적 진실이 정확하게 밝혀질 수 있도록 해야 한다. 또한 전통적인 단속위주의 법집행이 갖고 있는 한계를 보완할 수 있는 대안으로 평상시 지역사회의 경찰활동을 통해서 가정폭력이 재발하지 않도록 사후관리활동을 지속적으로 펼치는 것도 필요하다.

제품의 리스크 분석 기법에 관한 연구 : HuBRA 기법 개발 Development of HuBRA (Human Behavior Risk Analysis)

Since the introduction of The Product Liability Law, effective since July 2002, more and more companies and end-users have been giving their attention to the safety of products. A number of existing risk analysis techniques are being implemented to manufacturing sites. However, they have certain restrictions such as incurring different techniques that are to be implemented at each stage of the product development. This is due to their domain of the analysis differing from one to another. Moreover, the results of these analyses are not specific enough, and are subject to further revision. This study proceeds to look at various examinations undertaken on the existing risk analysis techniques. Through implementing them on certain products, investigations on the strengths and weaknesses were ascertained. This has allowed improvements on the existing techniques to be achieved as well as the development of a new risk analysis technique, 'HuBRA (Human Behavior Risk Analysis).' Finally the new technique was implemented on products to confirm its effectiveness.

C-D gain의 변화를 고려한 Fitts 이동시간 추정 모델에 관한 연구

During human-computer interaction(HCI), people typically send inputs to computers through electromechanical pointing devices. Many applied studies have therefore evaluated cursor-positioning movements made with various pointing devices. Though there were so many studies about performance of various pointing devices, it was nearly impossible to compare device performance each other until the Fitts' law was applied. It does appear that Fitts' law may predict performance reasonably well for the one C-D gain level. But in varying C-D gain levels, Fitts' law could not predict movement time. This study investigated the effects of C-D gain in mouse movement time and suggested a revised Fitts' model including C-D gain as an independent variable. The revised Fitts' model may use to measure the performance of various devices in varying C-D gain levels.
