MudGet: Reproduction of the desired lighting environment using a smart-LED

With the emergence of smart LEDs, lighting based interior design is becoming popular. However, most of the smart LED-based lighting systems rely on expert-human intervention to create a desired atmosphere. For convenience, commercial lighting systems offer a number of options but their usability is fairly restricted. Therefore, an intuitive interface is required for novice users to generate the desired lighting environment. In this paper, we have developed a software, named MudGet, which automatically extracts the light mood from a digital image and controls the LED lamps to reproduce a desired lighting effect according to the extracted light mood. In our method, the light mood is regarded as a set of the representative colors of the digital image. The representative colors are extracted by utilizing K-means clustering algorithm. The dimming parameters are set for which each of the LED lamps create the lighting environment with the mood extracted by the software. To evaluate the feasibility of mood reproduction qualitatively, the degree of similarity between the light mood in the digital image and the reproduced result using LEDs is evaluated by a user study under a miniaturized experimental set. We observe that users can easily produce a desired atmosphere through the proposed MudGet software.

소춘 김기전의 수도론과 청우당의 정치이념 - 수도와 사회적 실천의 병진

김기전의 수도론은 천도교 시절에 와서 약화된 동학 초기의 접령, 강화의 시천주 체험을 다시 강조하는 데 그 특징이 있다. 하지만 그는 시천주 체험에만 그치지 않고 한울님 마음과 하나가 되는 ‘오심즉여심’을 추구했고, 나아가 본래의 나, ‘무궁아(無窮我)’를 깨닫는 데까지 나아가라고 함으로써, 천도교 수련의 절차와 목표를 분명히 했으며, 수련과목을 다섯가지로 제시했다. 또한 해방정국에서 그와 청우당 지도부의 신국가건설의 비전, 즉 ‘조선식 신민주주의’에 나타난 정치이념은 좌우를 넘어 민족해방과 계급해방을 함께 추구하면서, 자본주의와 사회주의를 넘어선 자주국가 건설을 도모하였고, 진정한 인민 주권과 민생 정치를 강조하고, 토지문제 해결을 통한 진정한 평등을 주장하였다. 나아가 가부장적 윤리의 극복을 통한 남녀평등 사회의 건설을 주장했다. 이는 동학의 사인여천과 성·경·신, 그리고 삼경을 새로운 삶의 원리로 삼아 소유와 투쟁을 넘어설 수 있는 진정한 민주국가, 도덕 문화국가 건설을 제시한 것이었다. 비록 이러한 계획은 당시의 극심한 좌우의 대립과 냉전적 국제질서 속에서 무위에 그칠 수밖에 없었지만, 김기전과 청우당 지도부가 꿈꾼 높은 윤리적 이상과 문화국가로서의 비전은 앞으로 분단을 해소하고 통일국가를 만들어나가는데 좋은 발판이 될 수 있으리라 생각된다. 딥러닝 기반 5G 밀리미터파 빔선택 기술

5G 밀리미터파 기술에 있어서, 높은 전파 손실을 보상하기 위해서는 빔포밍 기술이 필수적이다. 이때 빔포밍된 빔의 방향을 사용자의 맞춰주는 기술이 필수적이다. 이 빔선택을 하는 과정에 있어서, 모든 빔을 탐색하는 것은 매우 큰 지연시간을 발생시키고, 이는 5G의 주요 요구조건인 초저지연 통신에도 위배된다. 이에 효율적인 빔선택을 위한 빔 스위핑 문제를 해결하기 위해 딥러닝을 적용한 기술을 소개하고자 한다. 각각 Sub-6 GHz 대역과 LIDAR 데이터를 기반으로 딥러닝 모델을 학습시키고, 전체탐색 기반 빔선택 과정에 비해 더 좋은 성능을 보임을 확인 할수 있었다. 본고에서 소개하는 기술은 3D ray-tracing등 실제와 유사한 환경에서 검증이 이루어졌고, 이를 통해 이 기술들은 5G 구현을 위한 물리계층에서 딥러닝이 주요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to explore how Suun Choi Jewoo’s Donghak ideas were inherited and developed by his successors. As a research method for this, we looked at how it was expanded, deepened, or transformed by subsequent successors, focusing on the concept of Sicheonju(侍天主). Su-un’s concept of Si-Cheon-ju, which emphasizes the experience of internal spirit and external energy, was later expanded externally to the idea of ‘parents of heaven and earth’(天地父母) in Haewol, while internally internalized to the idea of ‘Mind is God’(心卽天). Uiam Son Byeong-hee’s ‘Innaecheon (人乃天)’ can be seen as a developmental deepening of the concept of Sicheonju(侍天主), although there are aspects of it that responded to the needs of the time. Meanwhile, Lee Don-hwa, who reinterpreted Donghak by accepting Western philosophy and evolution theory, defined Donghak’s cosmology as the theory of ‘Jigi-monism(至氣一元論)’. He denied the personality of God and understood it as the idea of eternity in the human mind and as the creative mind of God. On the other hand, Kim Ki-jeon again developed a theory of practice emphasizing the ‘experience of Sicheonju.’ In conclusion, the history of Donghak ideology after Suun Choi Je-woo can be said to be a history of expansion and deepening of the concept of Sicheonju and constant efforts to put it into practice in real life. In the process, it can be said that Donghak thought has deepened as the two elements of ‘Experience of Sicheonju’ and ‘Awareness of Innaecheon’ complement each other. The dynamism of the two concepts of Sicheonju and Inaecheon is a very important ideological asset of Donghak and Cheondogyo. 東學의 修養論―守心正氣를 중심으로―

The main point of a self cultivation in Donghak is soosim-jungki(keeping the good mind and having the right physical energy). Donghak always makes us study one's mind and physical energy together. Mind is made from a physical energy, however it is because of the physical energy response in accordance with intentional acting with one's mind. At the first, it is good to make a study on the physical energy the prime object. Because it is gentle in one's mind through such a study and is harmonized and holy the physical energy, we can have a mindful strength for a moral practice. First of all, a purpose of study on Jungki is to feel the heaven's energy through the body by repeatedly chanting an incantation loudly. One in self-culture has to be on a diet without stirring their emotion of joy and anger together with sorrow and pleasure exceedingly. A purpose of study on Soosim is to perceive a truth that one's mind is heaven and keeps one's calm character right, bright, and mild. A good Soosim always enables them to devote themselves to men and things. A study method of Soosim-Jungki in Dong-Hak is that every body who perceive a truth that one's mind becomes a saint to do virtue together with heaven and world by changing into one's body into the heaven's energy together through an incantatory training for long. 守心正氣는 동학 수양론의 요체라고 할 수 있다. 그런데 수운의 경전에는 守心正氣가 아니라 修心正氣로 되어있다. 이것이 해월 시대부터 守心正氣로 바뀌어 지금에까지 내려오고 있다. 이렇게 守心正氣로 바뀌게 된 이유는 마음에 대한 이해가 달라지면서이다. 즉 해월은 마음을 하늘로 보았기 때문에 닦는 것보다는 그 하늘 마음을 회복하고, 또한 잘 길러나가는 것을 중시하였던 것으로 보인다.동학 수양론의 특징은 마음과 기운을 같이 공부한다는 것이다. 기운에서 마음이 나오지만, 마음씀에 따라 또한 기운이 감응하기 때문이다. 처음에는 기운공부를 위주로 하는 것이 좋은 데 그 이유는 기운공부를 통해서 마음이 온화해질 뿐만 아니라 몸의 기운이 조화롭고 신령하게 되어, 저절로 도덕을 실천할 수 있는 마음의 힘이 생길 수 있기 때문이다. 그래서 正氣를 통해 守心하고, 守心으로 正氣를 하여 궁극적으로 지극히 至氣와 화해서 聖人에 이르는 것이 수심정기 공부이다. 구체적으로 正氣 공부는 우선 주문을 큰소리로 반복하여 외움으로써 하늘의 기운을 느껴 통하게 하는 것이다. 또한 일상에서도 항상 희노애락의 감정을 지나치게 하지 않고 음식조절을 잘 해야 한다. 이렇게 되면 몸의 기운이 평정해지고 건강해질 뿐 아니라 마음이 안정된다. 守心 공부는 나의 마음이 본래 하늘이므로, 그것을 깨닫고, 그 마음을 잘 기르고 굳게 지켜 잃지 않는 것이다. 이렇게 하면 마음이 天心을 회복하여 항상 바르고 밝고 온화하여 스스로 평정하게 되는 것이다. 이 방법은 주문을 통한 念念不忘과 心告의 생활화를 통해 내 마음이 항상 몸에서 떠나지 않게 한다. 또한 내 마음을 항상 孝悌溫恭의 자세로 받들어야 한다. 守心이 잘 되면 待人接物(사람을 대하고 사물을 접함)에 있어서 그 마음씀이 항상 공경하고 정성스러울 수 있다. 이렇게 마음이 하늘임을 알고 또한 마음에 따라 기운이 감응하는 이치를 깨닫게 되며, 오랜 주문수련을 통해 온 몸이 천지의 기운과 같이 화해지면 천지와 더불어 그 덕을 같이 하는 성인이 될 수 있다는 것이 동학의 수심정기 공부법이다.마지막으로 동학 수양론에서 특히 기운에 대한 논의가 윤리적인 측면과 관련해서 갖는 의의는 욕망의 문제를 단순히 마음을 통제하는 문제로만 보지 않고, 몸과 마음에 의해 형성된 기운의 문제로 보고 있다는 점이다. 그래서 기운을 바꿈으로서 마음을 바꾸는 공부로 전환하고 있다는 것이다. 욕망이란 나의 의지의 문제만은 아니며, 욕망을 관계 속에서 형성된 것으로 보아야 한다는 것이다. 그러므로 그 욕망이 형성된 나의 조건들, 즉 기운을 바꿈으로써 욕망의 문제를 해결해야 한다고 보는 것이다.

Multiplex PCR을 이용한 돌조개상과 (Bivalvia: Arcoidae) 이매패류 4종의 신속한 종 판별법 개발

A multiplex PCR primers (the species-specific primers) set using molecular biological methods targeting four species of ark shells (Anadara kagoshimensis, Tegillarca granosa, Anadara broughtonii and Cucullaea labiata) distributed in Korea were built, and a rapid and accurate species identification method was developed. The species-specific primer was designed within the nucleotide sequence of about 573 bp corresponding to the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (co1) gene region of mitochondrial DNA, and considering the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) representing inter-species variation excluding intra-species variation, it was designed with an interval of 80-100 bp for each species. As a result, it was confirmed that species-specific bands were formed in the order of A. kagoshimensis (160 bp), T. granosa (245 bp), A. broughtonii (351 bp), and C. labiata (471 bp). In addition, in order to measure the limit of multiplex PCR amplification according to the concentration of genomic DNA (gDNA) and the number of PCR amplification repetitions, 15 experimental groups were divided and measured. As a result, when the number of amplification repeats was 25 cycles, the concentration of gDNA was detected down to a minimum of 1 ng/μl. Therefore, the multiplex PCR primer set for four species of ark shells developed in this study is expected to be of great help in accurately and rapidly identifying species in the field, it is thought that economic damage and academic errors caused by misidentification can be prevented.

담수산 복족류 (Gastropoda: Architaenioglossa) 3종 간 신속한 Triplex PCR 종 판별 방법

This study designed species-specific primers for quick and convenient molecular biological species identification of three species belonging to Architaenioglossa widely distributed in Korea and developed a single triplex PCR primer set by verifying specificity and reproducibility. Species-specific primers were designed to amplify species-specific bands (Pomacea canaliculata, 223 bp; Sinotaia quadrata, 261 bp; Cipangopaludina chinensis malleata, 431 bp) in consideration of positions representing genetic variation within species and between species on the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (co1) gene base sequence of mitochondrial DNA. In addition, conventional PCR verification experiments were performed according to the amplification cycle and concentration range of genomic DNA (gDNA) to verify the amplification efficiency when configuring the triplex PCR primer set. As a result, considering the PCR reaction cycle and sample amount, the minimum PCR reaction cycle and gDNA concentration were found to be each 25 cycles and 10 ng/μL. Therefore, it is judged that the triplex PCR primer set between the three species belonging to Architaenioglossa developed in this study can contribute to accurate species identification in the industrial field with a quick and simple analysis method at the conventional PCR level.
