High strength and fracture toughness of Al-Li-Cu alloy(2090 Al alloy) have been achieved by the improvement of melting and casting, extrusion and heat treatment techniques. To establish the sucessful process for semi-industrial scale ingot(20Kg) the following areas have been investigated: (1) Improvement of melting and casting techniques for ingot by introducing atmospheric modifications, vacuum and rotary degassing, and deslagging. (2) The effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties (3) Mechanical characterization by tensile test, fracture toughness test and fatigue crack propagation test. High mechanical properties were found to be intimately related with ingot soundness. Tensile strength of final products varied from 534MPa to 566MPa in peak aged condition while elongation/ductility ranged from 9.0% to 11.9%. From the fracture toughness test with using compact tensile specimen, plane strain fracture toughness($K_{Ic}$) appeared to be 39MPa${\surd}$m in peak aged condition and 23MPa${\surd}$ m in underaged condition. When load ratios of 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 were given ${\Delta}K_{th}$ was 6.0MPa${\surd}$ m, 5.3MPa${\surd}$ m and 4.3MPa${\surd}$ m respectively. 용해와 주조, 압출과 열처리 기술의개선으로 고강도, 고파괴인성의 AI-Li-Cu 합금(2090 AI합금)을 제조하였다. 또한 준 산업용 규모(20kg)의 잉고트 제조공정을 확립하기 위해서 (1)선 (2)기계적 성질들에 미치는 열처리 영향 (3) 인장시험, 파괴인성 시험($K_{Ic}$) 및 피로균열 전파시계를 갖고 있으며 최종 제품의 인장강도는 최대시효 조건에서 534MPa부터 566MPa이었고 연신율은 9%에서 11.9%정도였다. C-T 시편을 이용한 파괴인성 시험 결과 최대시효 조건에서 평면변형 파괴인성 ($K_{Ic}$)값은 39MPa$\surd$m였고 미시효 조건에서는 23MPa$\surd$m였다. 또한 0.1, 0.3, 0.5의 하중비에서 피로균열 전파시험을 행하였을때 임계응력 확대계수(${\Delta}K_{th}$)는 각각 6.0, 5.3, 4.3 MPa$\surd$m이었다.

근접장 마이크로파 현미경을 이용한 로돕신의 광학적 특성 연구

We report the electro-optical properties of the sensory rhodopsin II using a near-field scanning microwave microscope(NSMM). Rhodopsin was known as a photoreceptor pigment with a retinal as a chromophore via a protonated Schiff base and consists of seven ${\alpha}-helical$ transmembrane segments. The sensory rhodopsin II, expressing E. coli UT5600 with endogenous retinal biosynthesis system and purified with $Ni^{-2}-NTA$ affinity chromatography in the presence of 0.02 % DM (Dodecyl Maltoside) from Natronomonas pharaonis. We measured the absorption spectra and the transients difference of sensory rhodopsin II from Natronomonas pharaonis using a UV/VIS spectrophotometer with Nd-Yag Laser (532 nm). The absorption spectra of NpSR II showed a typical rhodopsin spectrum with a left shoulder region and the photointermediates spectra of NpSR II-ground state (${\lambda}max=498\;nm$), NpSR II-M state (${\lambda}max=390\;nm$), and NpSR II-O state (${\lambda}max=550\;nm$) during the photocycle. The observed photocycle reaction was confirmed by measuring the microwave reflection coefficient $S_{11}$ at an operating frequency of f=3.93-3.95 GHz and compared with the results of a photocycle of NpSR II.
유기물 Pentacene 박막과 금속 계면에서의 Space Charge 연구

Surface potential properties at the interface of pentacene thin films on gold (Au) and aluminum (Al) surfaces were investigated by using a near-field scanning microwave microprobe (NSMM). The surface potential formed across the pentacene film was observed by measuring the microwave reflection coefficient $S_{11}$ and compared with the result of a Kelvin-probe method. The obtained reflection coefficient ${\Delta}S_{11}$ of the pentacene thin films on Al was decreased as the pentacene film thickness increased due to the increased accumulation of negative space charges, while for Au ${\Delta}S_{11}$ was essentially constant.
항공사진 촬영 왜곡보정기술 개발 및 적용 사례 - Photoshop과 PC-Rect 적용 중심

Outline map is used for the description and reconstruction of the traffic accident. One way to produce the outline map is by adopting detailed measurements from the accident site such as final position of the vehicle and pedestrian, width of the road, and locations of the oil and tire marks. This method consumes large amount of time not to mention that of the production of detailed version as fine as the picture of the site. Aerial recording equipment so called HeliCam can produce an outline map that can substitute that of manual method with even faster production time and higher resolution. However, the produced picture have errors which are resulted by distortion due to the characteristics of camera and direction of the photographing. This paper provides correction of the distortion of oultline map produced by HeliCam using Adobe Photoshop and PC-Rect. The result showed resonable error range less than 6 cm(0.1%) for $60m{\times}30m$ area taken by HeliCam. The presented method develops outline map with small error, which is useful to traffic accident analysis, and traffic accident cases analyzed in this study were also.
