Strong Absorption of Cations into a Cation Exchange Resin in Concentrated HClO$_4$

The absorptions of Fe(Ⅲ), Tb(Ⅲ), Tl(Ⅰ), Ce(Ⅲ), Th(Ⅳ), and $UO_2^{2+}$ ions into the Dowex 50W-X2, 100-200 mesh resin were investigated by spectrophotometry to understand the abnormal strong absorption behavior of cations to cation exchange resins in concentrated HClO4. The distribution coefficients increase in the order : Tl(Ⅰ) < Fe(Ⅲ) < Tb(Ⅲ)∼Ce(Ⅲ) < $UO_2^{2+}$< Th(Ⅳ) and the order is interpreted in terms of the ratio of charge-to-ionic radius. The mole ratios of increment of $ClO_4^-$ ion absorption to metal ion absorption showed the same order as the distribution coefficients, which indicates that the electrostatic association between $ClO_4^-$ ion and metal ion plays a major role in the strong absorption.

In HD (Hemodialysis) patients of CRF (Chronic Renal Failure), AVF (arterio venous fistula) operation including arterio venous anastomosis is needed for HD. This abnormal anastomosis makes stenosis or occlusion of anastomotic lesion. Using CFD, we simulated various hemodynamic factors influencing on stenosis or occlusion of vessel in various arterio venous anastomotic feature of AVF (arterio-venous fistula). The result shows that the large anastomosis angle has smaller shear stress that have the advantage for reducing AVF failures.

Solubilization technique was applied in determining the point of zero charge of HDPE and LDPE to suggest a method of removing the particles from the aquatic environment and separating different plastic types ahead of a recycling process. Since plastic, especially polyethylene has the potential to cause harm to humans and the ecosystem when broken down into small fragments and plastic particles can reach all domains of the earth through the hydrologic cycle, removing microplastics from the marine environment is crucial. The experiment was conducted to determine the surface characteristics of HDPE and LDPE by using the microplastic particles respectively to NaCl solution with different concentrations. The same amount of HCl was added to the solution to determine the point of zero charge of HDPE and LDPE. HDPE was observed to have a point of zero charge at 5.14 whereas the point of zero charge of LDPE was 5.28. It could be suggested that the pH of the solution can be controlled to 5.14 and 5.28 respectively. PE particles which are separated based on their point of zero charge are expected to be agglomerated and collected with high purity and converted into recycled raw material. Furthermore, this research is expected to contribute to studies that aim to remove other types of fine particles from unwanted places using a similar approach.

올바른 운동량 조절을 위해선 운동중의 심박수 측정이 중요하다. 최근 스마트 디바이스가 활발하게 사용됨에 따라, 운동중의 실시간 심박수 측정에 대한 관심이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 고강도 운동 중에는 동잡음으로 인하여 손목 밴드 유형의 광혈류 (PPG : photoplethysmography) 측정기 신호로부터 정확한 심박수를 추정하는 것이 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 손목밴드 유형의 광혈류 측정기 신호로부터 정확한 심박수 추정을 위한 효율적인 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 12개의 데이터 세트에 대하여 제안하는 알고리즘을 적용한 결과, 1.38의 분당심박수(BPM) 평균 절대 오차를 기록하였고, 0.9922의 추정 심박수와 실제 심박수간의 Pearson 상관계수를 얻었다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 웨어러블 디바이스에 적합한 빠른 연산속도와 정확한 추정을 가능케 한다. Measuring the heart rate during exercise is important to properly control the amount of exercise. With the recent advent of smart device usage, there is a dramatic increase in interest in devices for the real-time measurement of the heart rate during exercise. During intensive exercise, accurate heart rate estimation from wrist-type photoplethysmography (PPG) signals is a very difficult problem due to motion artifact (MA). In this study, we propose an efficient algorithm for an accurate estimation of the heart rate from wrist-type PPG signals. For the twelve data sets, the proposed algorithm achieves the average absolute error of 1.38 beat per minute (BPM) and the Pearson correlation between the estimates and the ground-truth of heart rate was 0.9922. The proposed algorithm presents the strengths in an accurate estimation together with a fast computation speed, which is attractive in application to wearable devices.
경도 인지장애 선별에 적용된 이중과제 평가에 대한 체계적 고찰

Purpose: This study aims to systematically review the dual-task evaluation applied to the screening of mild cognitive impairment. It also aims to present various evaluation items and results analysis methods for dual tasks applied to patients with mild cognitive impairment. Methods: We conducted a systematic search of published studies in PubMed databases and KISS from January 2000 to August 2020 using the main keywords such as “Dual task,” “Mild Cognitive impairment,” “Elderly,” and “Screening.” We selected a total of 10 studies for the analysis from 1314 searched articles. Results: We analyzed the qualitative level of 10 studies that were nonrandomized two-group studies with evidence level II (100.0%). These results suggest that the evidence level of the studies was high. We analyzed 10 studies and identified 12 motor tasks and 19 cognitive tasks. Walking was the most commonly used evaluation motor task and counting backward by ones and naming animals were the most commonly used evaluation cognitive tasks. Moreover, the velocity speed was the most used result analysis method. The results indicate that there were significant differences in dual-task performance between patients with normal and mild cognitive impairment. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a basis for the selection of dual-task evaluation items and methods of analyzing the results for screening mild cognitive impairment. Furthermore, they are expected to be used for research on the development of dual-task evaluation tools. It is necessary to compare and analyze the usage trends of dual-task evaluation by cultural differences in future studies.

본 논문에서는 앞으로 국가의 RFID를 이용하여 물품자산을 관리할 수 있는 국가물품식별코드의 운용방안을 제시한다. 첫째, 국가에서 수행하는 물품자산관리체계의 운용체계를 제시한다. 둘째, 상품구매와 물품자산 관리간의 연계성을 고려하여 ISO/IEC 15459를 따르는 국가물품식별코드체계의 구조를 제시한다. 그리고 이식별코드체계를 ISO/IEC 18000-6C 태그에 인코딩하는 방안을 제시한다. 셋째, 상품구매 및 물품자산관리 단계에서 국가물품식별코드를 생성 및 관리하기 위한 운용 업무 프로세스를 제시한다. In this research, we propose the operational method of the RFID-based NPI (National Product Identifier) which can manage product assets for the Korean government in the future. First of all, we present the operational concept of the national product asset management. Second, we suggest the structure of the NPI which accommodates ISO/IEC 15459 and the method to encode NPI and related data to ISO/IEC 18000-6C tags. Finally, we propose the operational business processes to generate and manage NPI in the stages of product procurement and product asset management.
