The metal mesh films with thickness of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 ㎛ were prepared by photolithography using Ag, Al, and Cu metals. Every metal films were showed C(111) preferred orientation and Ag showed the lowest resistivity and followed by Al and Cu. The transmittance of almost films were higher than 90%. But, the Ag film with thickness of 2.0 ㎛ was delaminated during photolithography process due to low adhesion. So, Cu and Ti metal films were introduced under Ag film to improve adhesion property. The Cu film showed higher adhesion properties compared to Ti film. Furthermore, the Ti films that deposited on Ag film showed higher acid resistance.
항원의 투여방법 및 사육환경 변화에 따른 넙치의 특이항체 반응

본 연구에서는 백신을 넙치 양식 현장에 적용하기 위한 기초연구로서 항원의 투여방법 및 항원 투여 후 사육환경 변화에 따른 넙치의 특이 항체 반응에 대한 영향을 조사하였다. 항원의 투여방법에 따른 항체 반응을 조사하기 위해 넙치에 BSA를 복강 및 근육 주사한 후 주기적으로 혈액을 취해 BSA에 대한 항체가를 측정한 결과, 근육 주사법이 복강 주사법보다 항체형성 초기시점에서 약간 높은 항체가를 나타났으나 그 이후의 항체 반응에는 유의적인 차이가 관찰되지 않아, 백신을 투여하는 방법으로 근육 주사법뿐만 아니라 복강 주사법도 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다. 사육환경 변화에 따른 백신의 영향을 조사하기 위해 BSA를 면역시킨 넙치에 사육수온의 급하강, handling 및 중유에 노출시킨 후 항체가를 측정한 결과, 수온변화 및 handling 실험구가 양성 대조구보다 항체형성 초기시점에서 약간 높은 항체가를 나타났으나, 그 이후의 항체 반응에는 서로간의 유의적인 차이는 관찰되지 않아, 위의 환경변화는 넙치의 특이 항체반응에 영향을 거의 끼치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 결과, 넙치 양식현장에서 백신은 일시적인 수온변화, 중유노출 및 handling에 의한 환경변화에서도 유용하게 사용 될 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다. The specific antibody response of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus to change in rearing-environmental conditions post immunization with antigen (bovine serum albumin, BSA) and different routes of antigen administration were investigated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). To test the effect of routes of antigen administration, flounder were injected intraperioneally or intramuscularlly with 1 mg of BSA. In addition, to test the effect of change in environmental condition post immunization, flounder were injected intraperioneally with 1 mg of antigen, and then were exposed to acute thermal change (the water temperature (WT) was decreased from 21℃ to 15℃ within 30 min and maintained at 15℃ for 3 h), handling (fish were caught and subsequently held out of water for 1 min) or heavy oil (76 g/ 200 L for 2 days). Consequently, there was no significant difference between intraperioneal (IP) and intramuscular (IM) injections except at 10 days post-immunization. With these results, it suggests that both IM and IP injections may be used as route of vaccination. Futhermore, no significant difference was observed in the antibody response among the groups exposed to heavy oil, handling, sudden drop of WT and positive control except at 10 days post-immunization. From these results, it was confirmed that specific antibody response was not affected by the above mentioned rearing-environmental conditions, suggesting that vaccination can be employed at changing rearing-environmental conditions.

Recently, the structural color by photonic crystal structures has been studied in various fields such as displays and sensors. Various manufacturing methods to compose the photonic crystal structures has been actively proposed. In this paper, we propose a self-assemble manufacturing process using the lifting devices and silica nano-particles on the surface of the glass substrate. The self-assembled manufacturing process using silica nano-particles in solution is based on wet self-assembly which has been developed widely. But the wet self-assembly method has the disadvantage in manufacturing of large scale and complex geometric patterns because of non-uniform surface, difficulty of thickness control and cracks. Therefore, the precise control of the lifting speed, density of silica nano-particles, external temperature and humidity are needed in experiments. We implement various experiments to determine the key factors to gain uniform surface, controllable thickness and defect-free photonic crystal structures. In addition, we measure the wavelength using spectrometer to determine the relationship of the silica nano-particle size of manufactured samples, comparing it to the theoretical wavelength of the structural color.

This study was done to examine whether cigarette smoking improved smooth pursuit eye movement(SPEM) abnormalities in chronic schizophrenic inpatients. Fifteen schizophrenic and twelve alcoholic subjects abstained from their usual cigarette smoking for a minimum of nine hours and their baseline performances during the constant velocity smooth pursuit tasks were assessed. Then, the subjects smoked as much as they desired in a 10 minutes period and were retested immediately after smoking and 15 minutes after smoking. Electrooculographic recordings during the eye movements were converted and saved as digitized files. Power spectral density curves and natural logarithm value of signal/noise(Ln S/N) ratios were computed from them. In the schizophrenic patients, Ln S/N ratios increased significantly immediately after smoking compared to baseline. But, Ln S/N ratios showed no statistically significant changes after 15 minutes compared to baseline. In alcoholic subjects, Ln S/N ratios showed no statistically significant changes immediately after smoking and after 15 minutes compared to baseline. In conclusion, SPEM was improved in schizophrenic patients immediately after smoking and we hypothesized that nicotinic receptor dysfunction maybe a candidate mechanism for smooth pursuit eye movement abnormalities in schizophrenia.

Recently, various microalgae have been studied for biodiesel, carbon dioxide fixation and health supplements. In order to design photobioreactors for the cultivation of microalgae, various factors are considered such as the luminous intensity, agitation, the flow rate and velocity of carbon dioxide, etc. In this study, an internally radiating photobioreactor of a horizontal cylindrical type is proposed. For the agitation and turbulence effect, the photobioreactor includes the baffle-wiper. Furthermore, using another container, it is designed to supply carbon dioxide circulate water and extract a microalgae sample easily. The designs of a pump and the baffle-wiper for the circulation and agitation are optimized by CFD analysis. The cultivation of Spirulina platensis using the proposed photobioreactor are implemented to check its growth curve.

We investigated the infection of nervous necrosis virus (NNV) in seven band grouper Hyporthodus septemfasciatus broodstocks, which have been reared in aquaculture farms in South Korea during 2012-2014. To investigate the prevalence of NNV within the broodstock, egg, sperm, and blood were sampled in the spawning season. The egg and sperm samples were subjected to a nested reverse transcription (RT) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay to detect NNV and were inoculated on SSN-1 cells to culture the virus. Blood samples were used to detect antibodies against NNV using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELSIA). Positive values from ELISA were found in 39 of 162 samples (24%) in 2012, and 13 of 28 samples (46%) in 2014. Additionally, 4 of 34 broodstocks (11%) investigated in 2013-2014 were determined to be carriers from the nested RT-PCR and in vitro cultivation. The broodstocks in which antibodies against NNV were detected by ELISA, or in which NNV was detected by the nested RT-PCR assay, posed a risk of vertical transmission of NNV. Therefore, it is necessary to select virus-free broodstocks in seed production to reduce the possibility of the vertical transmission of NNV.

Stability and activity of boron doped diamond (BDD) electrode are key factors for water treatment. In this study, BDD electrodes were prepared on various substrates such as Nb, Si, Ti, and $TiN_x/Ti$ by hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) method. BDD/Ti film showed the delamination between BDD and Ti substrate due to the formation of TiC layer caused by diffusion of carbon. On the other hand, $BDD/TiN_x/Ti$ showed remarkably improved stability, compared to BDD/Ti. It was confirmed that $TiN_x$ intermediate layer act as barrier layer for diffusion of carbon. High potential window of 2.8 eV was maintained on the $BDD/TiN_x/Ti$ electrode and, better wastewater treatment capability and longer electrode working life than BDD/Nb, BDD/Si and BDD/Ti were obtained.

In this paper, we propose the design of a micro-module robot enabling various locomotions. And we demonstrate the existence and non-existence of potentialities by using the finite element simulation and solving the inverse dynamics. This micro-module robot cannot only perform both the perpendicular and horizontal locomotions, but also it includes a mechanism to escape dangerous situations, mimicking a Armadillium vulgare themselves which is able to round the its body into a ball shape being protected from predator. The electromagnetic type segmented actuators are used to implement fast moving speed. The characteristics of the module actuators are studied by using FEA, and the feasibility of the proposed locomotion mechanisms are also demonstrated by solving the inverse dynamics.
