Nylon66/multi-walled carbon nano tube (MWCNT) composites were fabricated by twin screw extruder. The contents of MWCNT were 1, 3, 5, and 7 wt%. Thermal properties, dispersion, rheological and impact properties were measured by DSC, TGA, X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, Dynamic rheometer, and Izod impact tester. The effect of MWCNT on the non-isothermal crystallization of Nylon66 was confirmed by DSC. The complex viscosity at low frequency and the shear thinning tendency of the composites increased with MWCNT content. An increase in the elasticity was confirmed from the decrease in the slop of G``-G```` plot. Izod impact strengths of the composites were analyzed as a measure of mechanical properties, which indicated that the composites exhibit a 60% enhancement for the impact strength when 3 wt% MWCNT was added. The dispersion of MWCNT within Nylon66/MWCNT composites was also checked by SEM.

These experiments were conducted to examine the biological characteristics of Agistemus exsertus Gonzalez, a predator of tea red spider mite, Tetranychus kanzawai kishida, and to investigate the seasonal fluctuation of population density of A. exsertus. At two constant temperatures of 18 and 25℃, the developmental periods from egg to adult emergence of A. exsertus were 37.1, 12.4 days, respectively. Preoviposition periods of A. exsertus were shorter than oviposition and postoviposition periods. The numbers of eggs laid per female were 11.4 and 23.0 at the respective temperatures. The intrinsic rates of increase were estimated to be 0.032 and 0.145 ; the mean generation times were 49.8 and 18.7 days ; and the population doubling times were 21.7 and 4.8 days, respectively. The predation rate of prey eggs by all motile stages of A. exsertus was higher at 25℃ than at 18℃. The gravid female of A. exsertus was the most efficient predator stage, consuming 14.9 and 21.1 eggs of. T. kanzawai per day at 18 and 25℃, respectively. Population density of A. exsertus showed the highest peak in late June, and decreased in summer season, however, appeared the secondary peak in early October.
Thoracolumbar Junction Syndrome Accompanying Renal Artery Stenosis: A Case Report

Flank pain is a common reason for visits to the emergency room. The most common reason warranting hospital visits are urology-related problems. However, there are many other causes, such as musculoskeletal lesions, that difficult to achieve a correct diagnosis. Here, we describe a rare case of flank pain caused by thoracolumbar junction syndrome, accompanying renal artery stenosis. A 54-year-old male with hypertension presented with severe left flank pain for 1 week. Initially, he was diagnosed with left renal artery stenosis by computed tomography and decreased renal function on renal scan (Tc-99m DTPA). Although a stent was inserted into the left renal artery, flank pain persisted with only minor improvement. Through detailed physical examination, he was finally diagnosed with thoracolumbar junction syndrome. After three injections in the left deep paravertebral muscles at the T10–T12 levels, flank pain completely ceased. Clinicians must consider thoracolumbar junction syndrome, when treating patients with flank pain.
