김수환 추기경과 가톨릭 시민 - 카리스마의 집중과 확산을 중심으로 -

김수환 추기경 선종 이후 그를 기억하기 위한 작업과 연구는 교회 안팎에서 다양하게 이루어져왔다. 추기경에 대한 다각적 연구 사례는 그의 영성과 나눔 정신이 교회 내뿐만 아니라 한국 사회로 확산될 수 있다는 가능성을 열어주었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 종교지도자이자 사회의 지도자로서 그가 지닌 권위의 힘, 즉 카리스마에 대한 연구는 없었다. 더구나 항상 미소를 짓고 있는 추기경의 모습은 늘 당연하다고 여겼을 뿐 연구할 주제라고 생각하지는 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지금까지 간과되어 왔던 김수환 추기경의 카리스마와 당연하다고 여겨왔던 그의 웃음에 주목하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 막스 베버의 권위와 카리스마 개념을 살펴보았다. 베버는 신학적 개념인 카리스마를 한 개인이 지닌 ‘권위’의 한 양태를 일컫는 개념으로 새롭게 해석했다. 또한 권위의 한 유형인 카리스마적 권위를 전통적 권위와 합리적-법적 권위와 비교하였다. 베버의 카리스마 개념에서 볼 때, 추기경은 제도권 안에 있는 종교 지도자로서 전통적, 합리적-법적 종교적 권위보다 카리스마적인 종교적 권위가 더욱 크게 드러난 지도자라고 할 수 있다. 그의 삶과 어록을 통해 이러한 카리스마적 종교적 권위를 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 나아가 베버가 말한 카리스마의 일상화 개념을 토대로 은퇴 뒤 퇴색된 추기경의 카리스마적 종교적 권위를 웃음이라는 주제로 새롭게 해석하였다. 추기경의 이미지라 할 수 있는 ‘인자한 미소’를 웃음의 유형에서 학문적 의미를 찾고, 그 웃음을 영성적 관점에서 고찰했다. 마지막으로 막스 베버의 카리스마에 대한 비판적 고찰을 통해 개인에게 집중된 카리스마적 권위를 아이젠슈타트와 쉴스의 이론을 토대로 카리스마의 확산 개념을 살펴보았다. 이로써 추기경의 카리스마가 현재적으로 구현될 인간상을 ‘가톨릭 시민’이라 명명하고, 나아가 가톨릭 시민교육의 필요성을 제안했다. Since the demise of Cardinal Kim(1922-2009), several diverse studies of his life and work have been conducted both within and outside of the church. Many of these have revealed that his spirituality and generosity extended throughout Korean society as well as among the church′s community. However, his power and charisma as both a religious and social leader have not been explored to date. Moreover, scholars have not considered his propensity to smile as a serious subject for study, considering it a mere matter of fact. To address this oversight, this study focuses on Cardinal Kim′s charisma, which has hitherto been overlooked, and also on his tendency to smile, which has been taken for granted. To this end, I will first examine Max Weber’s concepts of authority and charisma. Weber reinterpreted the theological notion of charisma as a form of individual authority. He also drew comparisons between charismatic authority, traditional authority, and rational-legal authority. With respect to Weber’s notion of charisma, Cardinal Kim, who led the religious movement within the established social boundaries, can be described as a leader whose charismatic religious authority is more salient than other forms of authority, including traditional and rational-legal authority. In this paper, Cardinal Kim′s charismatic religious authority is examined on the basis of his life and sayings. Cardinal Kim′s charismatic religious authority, which declined after his retirement, will also be reinterpreted in this paper, with a focus on his propensity for smiling, on the basis of Weber’s concept of routinization of charisma. Referring to the classification of laughter, his well-known “generous smile” is endowed with scholarly significance and also examined from a spiritual perspective. Finally, this paper offers a critique of Weber’s notion of charisma, which focuses solely on the individual, and investigates the notion of the transmission of charisma, building on theories developed by S. N. Eisenstadt and E. Shils. Based on this research, I label this personality, through which Cardinal Kim′s charisma can be recreated for the present age, as “Catholic Citizenship,” and propse that civil education be introduced for Catholics.

소아에서의 췌장 고형유두상피 종양 1례

저자들은 복부 외상 후 크기가 증가하는 종괴와 동통을 주소로 내원한 13세 여아에서 췌장 원위부 절제술을 시행하여 조직학적으로 췌장 고형유두상피 종양을 진단하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Solid and papillary epithelial neoplasm (SPEN) of the pancreas is an uncommon tumor and is found predominantly in young females. The most common clinical presentation is an abdominal mass. The tumor has a low grade malignant potential and complete removal is the treatment of choice. We report a case of SPEN in a 13-year-old girl who presented with abdominal pain and increasing size of an abdominal mass after abdominal trauma. CT and sonographic findings showed a well-demarcated mass in the pancreas tail with solid and cystic portion. She got a distal pancreatectomy and pathologic finding was SPEN of pancreas.

최근 컴퓨터 그래픽 S/W는 변수화 모델링과 생성알고리즘을 제공함으로써 기하학적 표현의 다양성뿐만 아니라 설계자의 의도를 체계적으로 모듈화할 수 있는 여러 가지 가능성을 열어주고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 가능성을 지닌 컴퓨터 그래픽 S/W기반으로 초기 구조형태를 생성하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 특히 변수화 모델링과 생성 알고리즘을 이용하여 다양한 설계대안을 생성한다. 더욱이 동적 그래픽스개념을 이용하여 설계자가 한편에서는 구조형태를 생성하는 동안에, 또 다른 한편에서는 상응하는 힘의 흐름도가 마련되도록 한다. 이는 궁극적으로 힘의 흐름에 근거한 합리적 초기 구조형태 설계를 지원하게 될 것이다. Nowadays computer graphic softwares have opened a lot of potential by providing parametric modeling and generative algorithms which are useful not only to describe various geometrical shapes but also to implement a designer's intent in terms of modules systematically. This study has proposed a way of developing a module for generating preliminary structural configuration using such potential computer graphics. Especially parametric modeling and generative algorithm are utilized to define various design alternatives, and moreover use of dynamic graphics enables designers to generate a structural form on one side and a force flow diagram correspondingly provided on the other. This ultimately leads to rational preliminary design of a structural form considering its force flow.

역사문화환경의 도시적 재생을 위한 제도개선방안 연구 - 경주 황남·인왕 한옥지구 사례를 중심으로 -

This study is a case study of system improvement measures for urban regeneration of the historical and cultural environment. The example areas are Hwangnam and Inwang Hanok districts in Gyeongju City, which operate various systems to solve the urban decline problem caused by the historical and cultural environment regulations. The subjects of this study are resident support programs and district unit planning systems under the advanced promotion system established in the case area. As research methods, literature studies, field surveys, and in-depth interviews were conducted. Through this, the background and purpose of introduction of each system, major plan contents, and problems of the system application process were analyzed. This study drew the following implications through case studies. First, in order to more effectively promote the urban regeneration of the historical and cultural environment, it is necessary to improve the related systems in an integrated and systematic manner. Second, in order to resolve the policy distrust of local residents in the historical, cultural and environmental management system, a wider variety of planned alternatives to narrow the difference in interests between the public and private sectors should be presented.
