        Immune-enhancing effect of Acanthopanax Koreanum and its component, Eleutheroside E on the protein-energy malnourished C57bl/6 mice

        Acanthopanax Koreanum stem (AK) has been used in Korea as a tonic and sedative as well as a drug with ginseng like activities. The purpose of our present study was to investigate the effects of AK extract (AKE) and Eleutheroside E, major component of AKE on an exacerbated immune function through utilization of protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) diet by using forced swimming test (FST). The immobility time were significantly decreased in the AKE or Eleutheroside E-administrated group compared with the control group on the FST (P < 0.05). The level of blood parameters were not changed significantly. PEM-induced weight loss of mice was reduced by oral administration of 500 mg/kg AKE. AKE oral administration improved the nutritional status such as the food efficiency ratio and the adrenal gland weight. AKE treatment significantly increased the production of interferon (IFN)-γ compared with unstimulated splenocytes but not interleukin (IL)-4. Eleutheroside E also significantly increased the IFN-γ production but not IL-2 and IL-4 in T cell line, MOLT-4 cells. These results suggest that AKE and Eleutheroside E may influence to immune-enhancing through increasing the physical endurance capacity and immune cell activation.

        Samsoeum inhibits systemic anaphylaxis and release of histamine, cytokine in vivo and in vitro

        Samsoeum (SSE) is used in traditional oriental medicine for various medicinal purposes. However,the exact mechanism that accounts for the anti-allergy and anti-inflammatory effects of the SSE isstill not fully understood. The aim of the present study is to elucidate whether and how SSEmodulates the allergic reactions in vivo, and inflammatory reaction in vitro. In this study, weshowed that SSE significantly decreased compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylaxis, earswellingresponse, histamine release from preparation of rat peritoneal mast cells and antidinitrophenyIgE-induced passive cutaneous reaction. Also, SSE inhibited the expression ofinflammatory cytokine and cyclooxygenase-2 in PMA plus A23187-stimulated human mast cells(HMC-1). In addition, we showed that anti-inflammatory mechanism of SSE is throughsuppression of nuclear factor-κB activation and IκB-α phosphorylation/degradation in HMC-1. These results provided new insight into the pharmacological actions of SSE as a potentialmolecule for therapy of inflammatory allergic diseases.

        지진대피소 선정 평가 프레임워크 개발 및 적용

        최근 국내 지진으로 인해 지진 대피소에 대한 중요성이 강조되고 있지만, 기존 국내 지진 대피소 지정 기준이 모호하며 체계적인 절차가 없어 적절한 대피소 지정이 어려운 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 다기준 의사결정 기반 객관적이고 정량적인 지진 대피소 선정평가 프레임워크를 제안하고, 인천광역시 송도동 지진대피소 사례연구를 통해 적용 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 문헌 연구를 통해 대피소 평가 관련 지표를 추출하였고 텍스트마이닝을 사용하여 정제 및 그룹화를 통해 평가영역을 도출한다. 선택된 평가 지표는 균일한 점수 범위를 갖도록 표준화하였고, AHP 방법을 통한 각 평가영역의 상대적 가중치를 통해 지진대피소에 최종 평가점수가 도출된다. 사례연구 결과, 기존 대피소와 더불어 지진대피소로 적합한 추가 후보지를 식별할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 체계적인 지진대피소 지정 프로세스의 기반이 될 수 있으며, 지진대피소 선정평가 업무에 실용적으로 적용 및 지정된 대피소에 효용성을 확보하는데 공헌한다. The importance of designated earthquake shelters has been emphasized in South Korea. However, the lack of an appropriate evaluation process for shelter candidates often leads to an ad-hoc selection of earthquake shelters, resulting in inefficient disaster management. To address this issue, this study proposes an evaluation framework based on multi-criteria decision-making to measure the suitability of earthquake shelters quantitatively. First, available indicators for shelter evaluation are extracted from the relevant literature, which are then streamlined and grouped using text mining to represent evaluation areas. Next, the selected indicators are standardized to the same value scale, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to derive the relative importance of each evaluation area to compute the weighted sum total score of each candidate. The developed evaluation framework is applied to a case study of earthquake shelter selection in the city of Songdo-dong. The results show that there are additional shelter candidates suitable for earthquake evacuation in addition to the current designated shelters. This study can serve as a basis for objective shelter selection that would improve the identification and utility of designated shelters.

        팜파티 농가에 대한 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지가 소비자 만족, 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 팜파티 농가에 대한 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지가 소비자 만족과 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 목적으로 연구모형을 설계하여 가설을 검증하였다. 첫째 팜파티 농가의 이미지가 만족에 미치는 영향에 대해 검정을 실시한 결과 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지는 만족에 유의한 영향을 주었으며, 인지적 이미지가 정서적 이미지의 비교에서는 인지적 이미지가 만족에 더 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 연구되었다. 둘째, 만족이 재방문의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 검정을 실시한 결과 재방문의도에는 유의한 영향을 주었다. 팜파티를 통한 농촌관광 활성화와 농촌의 소득향상을 위해서는 팜파티농가가 다른 농가와의 차별화된 이미지를 만들어 내는 것이 가장 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 6차 산업을 위한 팜파티 활성화를 위해서는 팜파티 농가마다 이미지를 만들어 내고 이를 홍보마케팅에 활용한다면 더욱 효율적인 농촌관광의 모델로 자리 잡을 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 현재 팜파티를 진행하고 있는 농가의 운영자들의 의견을 수렴하지 못한 것이 한계점이 있다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 팜파티 운영자 중심의 연구를 진행해보고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of cognitive and affective images of a farm party venue on consumer satisfaction and revisit intention with a research model and hypothesis test. First, the cognitive and affective images of a farm party venue had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction in the test and the cognitive image had greater impact on consumer satisfaction than the affective image had. Second, consumer satisfaction had a significant effect on the revisit intention in the test, which indicates that farm party venues are required to find a way to boost the satisfaction of tourists in order to encourage their intentions to revisit. In order to revitalize rural tourism through farm party and raise income in rural areas, it is most important that farm party venue produce images that are differentiated from other farmhouses. In order to activate the farm party for the 6th industry, it will be possible to establish images of the farmers and utilize them in promotional marketing for the promotion of rural tourism. The present study is limited in that it did not collect feedback from farm party operators in action. With this in mind, another study is planned, focusing on those farm party operators.

        로하스 이미지 레스토랑의 브랜드 자산과 이타적 가치, 로하스 관여도, 추가 지불의사와의 관계 연구

        본 연구는 로하스 이미지 레스토랑의 브랜드 자산을 이타적 가치, 로하스 관여도, 추가 지불의사와의 관계를 연구하였다. 본 연구를 위한 자료는 2013년 8월 1일부터 8월 31일까지 수집되어 544부가 분석에 사용되었다. 그 결과 첫째, 로하스 이미지 레스토랑의 브랜드 인지도와 브랜드 연상은 이타적 가치에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 브랜드 충성도와 지각된 품질은 정(+)의 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 로하스 이미지 레스토랑의 브랜드 인지도, 브랜드 충성도, 브랜드 연상은 로하스 관여도에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 지각된 품질은 로하스 관여도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 이타적 가치는 로하스 관여도에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었다. 넷째, 이타적 가치는 추가 지불의사에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 다섯째, 로하스 관여도는 추가 지불의사에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구는 외식업체에서 로하스 가치를 추구하는 집단 혹은 이타적 성향이 높은 집단을 지속적으로 발굴하여, 이들을 표적으로 환경친환성과 건강성을 부각시킬 수 있는 커뮤니케이션 전략이 요구됨을 시사하고 있다. This study investigated the relationship of brand equity of restaurant LOHAS image with altruistic value, LOHAS involvement and additional willingness to pay (WTP). The data collected for this study was taken from a sample of 544 persons during the period of August 1, 2013 to August 31, 2013. The study findings are as follows. First, brand equity and brand association of restaurant LOHAS image had a positive effect on altruistic value, but had no positive effect on brand loyalty and perceived product quality. Second, brand awareness, brand loyalty and brand association of restaurant LOHAS image had a positive effect on LOHAS involvement, but had no significant positive effect on perceived quality. Third, altruistic value was found to have a positive effect on LOHAS involvement. Fourth, altruistic value had a positive effect on additional WTP. Fifth, LOHAS involvement was found to have a significant positive influence on additional WTP. The findings of this study indicate that communication strategies are warranted to emerge environmental friendliness and health targeting population groups that pursue the LOHAS value of restaurants or have a high propensity toward altruism.

        식생활라이프스타일과 인구통계적 특성이 외식영양표시 외식업체의 브랜드 이미지에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 식생활라이프스타일과 인구통계적 특성이 외식영양표시 외식업체의 브랜드이미지에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 외식업체의 차별화된 브랜드 이미지 전략을 수립을 위한 마케팅의 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 연구분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0 (ver.) 프로그램, 빈도분석 및 기술통계, 요인분석 및 신뢰도분석, 상관관계 분석, 다중선형회귀분석 등을 실시하여 가설을 검증하였다. 그 결과 거주지에서 수도권은 안전추구, 비수도권은 맛추구, 안전추구, 성별에서 남성은 건강추구, 맛추구, 안전추구, 여성은 안전추구일수록 외식영양표시 외식업체에 대한 브랜드이미지가 상승하였다. 연령에서 20대는 맛추구, 30대와 40대는 안전추구, 결혼여부에서 기혼과 미혼 모두 안전추구일수록 외식영양표시 외식업체에 대한 브랜드이미지가 상승하는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉, 식생활라이프스타일이 안전추구, 건강추구일 경우 주거지, 연령, 성별, 결혼여부, 자녀유무와 관계없이 외식영양표시 외식업체에 긍정적인 브랜드이미지를 갖고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of dietary lifestyles and demographic characteristics on the Brand image of restaurants with Nutritional labeling to provide basic marketing data for establishing differentiated Brand image strategies for restaurant businesses. To that end, the SPSS21.0 (ver.) program, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis were conducted to verify the hypothesis. As a result, the Brand image of restaurants with Nutritional labeling improved as the metropolitan area sought safety, non-capital area sought taste, males sought health, and females sought safety. In terms of age, it was analyzed that as more people in their 20s sought taste, those their 30s and 40s sought safety, and both married and unmarried people sought safety, the Brand image of restaurants with Nutritional labeling improved. In other words, it could be seen that people with Dietary lifestyles who pursued health and safety had positive images of restaurants with Nutritional labeling regardless of residential area, age, gender, marital status, or whether they had children.

        조선후기 기녀복식이 일반부녀자 복식에 미친 영향

        This study focuses on the effects of the clothes worn by kisaeng; courtesans trained in singing and dancing, on changes in female psychology as reflected in general women`s fashions during the later years of the Choson dynasty. During this period, the social order had broken down considerably, due in part to the introduction of Roman Catholicism, and in part to the actions of Sil-hak, who emphasized openness and practicality in the organization of social affairs. This freer social environment disrupted the established social hierarchies. The kisaeng were among the first to respond to the new social mores by adopting more colorful. sensual, and individualized fashions. Their social position allowed them to reflect the new aesthetics of the time right away. Those aesthetics seemed to lay great emphasis on the artistic effects of contrast. The kisaeng would adorn their heads with large Kache (an elaborate wig or hairdo typically reserved for use by women in full formal dress). In contrast to this conspicuous hairstyle, they typically wore very tight-fitting Jogori (short-cropped Korean traditional jackets for women) around their upper torsos. The long skirts emerging from beneath these short jackets would typically flare out dramatically, with the aid of petticoats. However, these skirts would be bound at the waist with a sash, increasing the sexual suggestiveness of the clothing by drawing attention to the hips, and by exposing the bottom frills of the petticoats, or the wide pantaloons and other undergarments the kisaeng wore to add volume to their skirts. The relative freedom enjoyed by the kisaeng to experiment with new fashions was not widely shared by most women. This generated envy from women of the noble classes, who were more bound by convention, and restrained from adopting such a mode of dress. It also generated envy from women of the humble classes, who saw the kisaeng as working little for their wealth, and yet dressing every day in finery that the average woman would only ever be able to afford on her wedding day. This envy directed at the relative freedom/wealth of the kisaeng by women who faced greater socioeconomic constraints was given cultural expression through the adoption of elements of the kisaeng`s fashions in the fashions of both noblewomen and humble women in old Korea. The luxurious Kache sported by the kisaeng had in fact been borrowed from the habitual attire of upper-class women. So to distinguish themselves from the kisaeng, they began to abandon these elaborate hairstyles in favor of traditional ceremonial hoods (Neo-ul-a thin black women`s hood) and coronets (Suegaechima). This supposed reaction to the abuse of the Kache by the kisaeng still remained influenced by the kisaeng, however, as these headdresses became adorned with many more jewels and decorations, in imitation of the kisaeng`s adaptations of the coronet. At the same time, noblewomen began sporting the Jangwue; a headdress previously worn only by kisaeng and lower class women, and lower class women were then permitted to wear the Kache at weddings. All women began to wear shorter, tighter Jogori jackets, and to add volume to their skirts. They also attached frills to their undergarments in imitation of the kisaeng`s exposed petticoats and pantaloons. The impact of kisaeng fashions was thus deep and widespread, and can be understood as an expression of women`s longing for freedom from socioeconomic constraints in the late Choson dynasty. This study adopts an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of historical changes in women`s fashions. Such interdisciplinary work can greatly enrich the study of fashion, often narrowly focused on clothing morphology and broad generalizations about society. For this reason, specific dynamics of feminine psychology in the late Choson dynasty were elaborated in this study, to provide a deeper understanding of the changes in fashion underpinned by them.

      • 레스토랑의 로하스 이미지에 영향을 주는 물리적 환경 분석

        This study performed an empirical analysis on the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) image among several factors completing the restaurant images. In the analysis, LOHAS image and physical environment were theoretically reviewed. Physical environments affecting the LOHAS image of restaurants were examined by taking concept factors, ambient conditions, visual design, spatial design, table top 5 elements, food design and social factors as independent variables and the LOHAS image as a dependent variable. According to the analysis result, the most influential factors affecting the LOHAS image were social factors such as food taste and quality, food hygiene and response to customer needs, followed by ambient conditions such as cleanliness, hygiene and scent of the surrounding environment; table top 5 elements such as tableware, cutlery, glassware and linen; and visual design such as restaurant logo, menu names, restaurant symbol and menu board design. Communication between customer and employee worked as an important social factor creating the LOHAS image, indicating that consistent education and improvement of workplace environment and employee satisfaction are crucial. On the other hand, concept factors such as the brand name; slogan; interior and exterior design and menu items; ambient conditions such as furniture, facade and signboard image; food design such as food color and shape and information on food ingredients had no influence on the image. Although this outcome could be attributable to a low understanding of concept, ambient conditions and food design, these are anticipated to be relatively less important factors in forming the LOHAS image compared to other influential ones.
