BSCT 320${\times}$240 IRFPA detector module is implemented, which is a key component in uncooled thermal imaging systems. The detector module consists of two parts, infrared sensitive pixel array and read-out integrated circuit(ROIC). The BSCT 320${\times}$240 pixels are made by laser scribe process and 10-${\mu}m$ micro-bump to satisfy 50-${\mu}m$ pitch and 95-% fill-factor. The ROIC has been designed to electrically address the pixels sequentailly and to improve signal-to-noise ratio with single transistor amplifier, HPF, tunable LPF and clamp circuit. The fabricated hybrid chip of detector and ROIC has been mounted on the TEC built-in ceramic package for more stable operation and tested for lots of electrical and optical properties. The IRFA sample has shown successful properties and met with good results of fill-factor, detectivity and responsivity. 적외선 열 영상 system에서 가장 핵심이 되는 BSCT 320X240 IRFPA를 구현하였다. 검출기 module은 두 개의 부분, 즉 적외선 감지 pixel의 array와 감지된 신호를 읽어내는 ROIC로 구성된다. 50-${\mu}m$의 pitch와 95-%의 fill-factor를 만족하도록, laser scriber공정과 10-${\mu}m$ 크기의 ball을 갖는 micro bump공정을 적용하였다. ROIC는 선택된 신호를 읽어서 순차적으로 출력하게 설계되었으며, 단일 transistor amplifier, HPF, tunable LPF 그리고 clamp circuit를 삽입하여 SNR이 개선되도록 설계하였다. Detector와 ROIC의 결합으로 제작된 hybrid chip은 좀더 안정한 동작을 하도록 TEC가 내장된 ceramic package에 탑재하였다. 제작된 IRFPA sample은 원하는 특성을 만족하였으며, 특히 fill-factor, 탐지도, 반응도면에서 설계의 목표에 잘 근사함을 알 수 있었다.
에머지 방법론을 이용한 영산강 하구생태계의 기여 가치 평가

에너지 관점에서 생태계의 가치를 평가하는 에머지 개념과 방법론을 이용하여 영산강 하구해역 생태계가 우리 경제에 기여하는 가치를 시스템 관점과 생태계 서비스 관점에서 평가하였다. 하천과 바다가 만나서 형성되는 하구생태계의 특성을 반영하여 하천의 화학에너지가 유입에머지 총량($9.42{\times}10^{20}$ sej/yr)의 73%로 가장 많은 에머지를 공급하였으며, 조석에너지는 27%를 기여하였다. 영산강 하구생태계로 유입하는 자연환경에너지를 이용하여 시스템 관점에서 영산강 하구가 경제에 기여하는 가치를 평가한 결과 약 1,799억 em\/yr(1,491만 em\/ha/yr 또는 13,526 em$/ha/yr)으로 나타났다. 영산강 하구생태계가 제공하는 서비스의 가치는 수산물생산, 오염정화, 심미 기능, 과학연구의 네 가지만을 대상으로 평가하였다. 이 가운데 심미 기능의 가치가 1,799억 em\/yr으로 가장 높았으며, 수산물생산(1,011억 em\/yr), 오염정화(326억 em\/yr), 과학연구(9.3억 em\/yr)의 순으로 나타났다. 에너지를 이용하여 자연환경과 경제활동을 평가하는 에머지 방법론의 특성을 반영하여 이 연구에서 평가한 영산강 하구의 생태계 서비스 가치는 경제학적 방법을 이용한 평가보다 높았다. An emergy concept was used to evaluate the contributions of the Youngsan River Estuary to the Korean economy from systems and ecosystem service perspectives. Total emergy input to the estuary was $9.42{\times}10^{20}$ sej/yr with the chemical potential of river inflow accounting for 73% of the total and tidal energy for the remaining 27%, reflecting the unique environmental characteristics of estuaries where rivers meet sea. From the systems perspective, the estuary ecosystem contributed 179.9 billion em\/yr (14.91 million em\/ha/yr or 13,526 em$/ha/yr). Four ecosystem services of the Youngsan River Estuary were selected for the emergy evaluation: fishery production, pollutant removal, aesthetic function, and scientific research information. Aesthetic function contributed the most to the Korean economy with 179.9 billion em\/yr, followed by fishery production (101.1 billion em\/yr), pollutant removal (32.6 billion em\/yr), and scientific research information (934 million em\/yr). Emergy-based values of the selected ecosystem services of the estuary were higher than those calculated by economic methodologies.

This study on the characteristics of the tidal current at the half closed bay selected Sach?n Bay located in the western Kyung-nam area as the object location of the study.<BR> Then, I analyzed the current with the varying dredging depth after the depth integral of the three Dimensional continuous equation and Navier-stokes equation.<BR> The study would get the follwing results, and the results could be used meamingfully as the analysis material about the dredging depth"s influnce on the surrounding ocean when developing the coastal port.<BR> 1. When measuring the tidal current, there is a bit dispersion in the current direction of the observed object, but it is the wind effect at the bay. Considering that the calculated result is the shallow-water equation integranted in depth, the results can be concluded to in accored with my expectancy.<BR> 2. In case of reclaiming and dredging, the flow velocity and direciton change constantly, compared with the present condition.<BR> 3. At the wide bay dredge depth does not arrect the level of the ocean, but in case of inflow from the flood, the increase of the inflow of the river water affects the level of the ocean.<BR> 4. As the dredge depth grows deep, the maximum flood tidal current and obb tidal current at the front coast of the reclaimed decreases a little. However, the wide area Pc-7 ~ Pc-9 doesn"t show any change.<BR> As we saw in the above result, feacturcs of the tidal current as the level of the ocean and the current velocity don"t change in the aspect of the ocean engineering, even if we increase the degree of the dredge depth up to 6m in Sach?n Bay.
UV/IR센서 결합에 의한 불꽃 영상검출의 설계 및 분석

본 논문에서는 자외선(UV, ultraviolet) 및 적외선(IR, infrared) 센서를 결합함으로서 불이 연소하면서 방출하는 빛의 파장을 활용한 영상신호를 검출하는 결합형 불꽃영상 검출시스템은 적외선 센서와 자외선 센서 기반의 신호처리 알고리즘 설계방안을 제안한다. 또한, 설계한 듀얼모드인 결합형 불꽃영상 검출시스템은 단독형 적외선 또는 자외선 센서 기반의 영상검출 알고리즘의 검출 성능결과를 비교한다. In this paper, the combination of ultraviolet and infrared sensors based design for flame signal detection algorithms was proposed with the application of light-wavelength from burning. And, the performance result of image detection was compared by an ultraviolet sensor, an infrared sensor, and the proposed dual-mode sensors(combination of ultraviolet and infrared sensors).

Today`s information society has nurtured social development and living standard, and thereby personal activity scope is expanding extensively. To satisfy people`s growing need, personal mobile communication devices are in want of refined design, state-of-the- art function and absolutely new idea. Specifically, they need to meet the youth`s cultural, sensitive need. The sensitive approach seems the only way to figure out the properties of the youth culture, and their need seems to be satisfied only with specialized contents designed only for them. We would leam from the adolescent culture what kind of products are loved by users and what sort of cultural background they come from, because a specific culture would require new types of products and functions that have never existed in the past days. To make it happen, the sensitive, delicate psychological changes of adolescents should be caught to have sympathy for them. Identifying their diverse sensitive elements from their culture would make it possible to satisfy their need and to take another meaningful step toward the future.
