A numerical model using Hybrid Element Method(HEM) is carried out for the prediction of resonance in a harbor which are induced by the incident long-period waves. A shallow water wave equation including bottom friction is used as the governing equation and a partial absorbing boundary condition is used on closed boundaries is accepted, Chen and Mei(1974)"s concept which uses finite element net in the inner region and analytical solution of Helmholtz equation in the outer region. The mumerical model is applied to a fully open rectangular harbor to prove its validity and is also applied to Gamcheon Harbor, intend to analyze Long-period Resonance. It is noted that the period of Helmholtz resonant mode of Gamcheon Harbor is 32.7 minutes and the second and third resonant periods appear at 10.7 minutes and 6.5 minutes, respectively.

This study is to determin digging and development preferential ranking which is the potential area of seafront in Busan Kijanggun according to rise citizen of literary life and increase desire of culture life.<BR> Obtained results of this study are summarized as follows.<BR> 1. Decide to development preferential program that eight area selected from the potential area of seafront to position in Busan kijjanggun.<BR> 2. Appraisal standardⅠ decided to development preferential program which is Yunhwa gigu, Yonggung temple, Juksung estuary, Sirangdae, MunJung? Mundong harbor, Seoam harbor, Hoyamlee and Sinpyung harbor.<BR> 3. Appraisal standardⅡ decided to development preferential program which Yunhwa gigu, Yonggung temple, Juksung estuary, Hoyamlee and Sirangdae, Seoam harbor, Sinpyung harbor and MunJung?Mundong harbor get the same grade.<BR> 4. As a result of comparative appraisal standardⅠ,Ⅱ is that first~third program is equal but it was changed from fourth program.<BR> 5. When potential area in seafront appraised by Lee unit, appraisal standardⅠ is superior than appraisal standardⅡ.

This study is to choose the most proper model for AGV throughout simulation of behavior of suspension to reduce trial and error because there is no AGV treating heavy weight at harbor loading and unloading at home. Therefore, we estimate the vibration modes of the various suspensions applied to AGV, which is over 75 ton included the weight of two containers using the Matlab in the case of G and 5G, one of the simulation programs.

A sparker source with the center frequency of 1㎑ or higher can not be easily applied for the multi-channel marine seismic survey because of stacking difficulties. Thus, it has been applied mainly to the single channel marine seismic survey. For examining the applicability of sparker source to multi-channel marine seismic survey, 8-channel seismic data were obtained from the field and processed, and a 2-D seismic section was drawn up. From this study it can be concluded that, a sparker source with the center frequency of 1㎑ or higher can be applied to the multi-channel marine seismic survey, and the seismic section with high vertical resolution can be generated. The high-resolution seismic section would be very useful for subsurface geological structure analysis in the shallow sea.

An inverse vertical seismic profiling(Inverse VSP) was conducted on the site which consists mainly of 3 layes: thick alluvium layer on the top and weathered rock in the middle, and bed rock at the bottom. The technique uses a split spoon sampler as a downhole source and 24-channel geophone array as receiver. The filed data is compared with the synthetic seismogram in order to decide precise depth of reflections and interval velocity of each layer. The filed data is also compared with the borehole log to confirm accuracy of seismic data interpretation. From both comparison it can be concluded that if the site to be investigated consists of thick alluvium on the top, an inverse VSP technique offers precise depth determination of the bed rock.

Experimental study of Pilot-plant scale has been performed with ASA system connected with Sand filter, GAC, and RO as wastewater reusing system. As the results of the batch test performance of ASA + Sand filter + GAC connecting with RO, Cl?, COD, NH₄-N and PO4-P were over 99% in all cases of 20 bar, 30 bar and 40 bar. Especially, Cl? level was shown with excellent removal rate of over 99%. It was sure that all the items had over 90% removal. 20 bar selected in RO batch test was adopted to continuous test. The results have it that Cl?, COD, NH₄-N, PO₄-P and Ca²? except for turbidity were over 91%. Through the assessment of wastewater reuse, only the treatment by ASA + Sand filter or ASA + Sand filter + GAC system is applicable to toilet flushing or cleaning. Particularly, it is considered that ASA + Sand filter plus RO system is very effective as dyeing industy water which need high water quality.

To prevent from algal-bloom and red tide outbreak this study was focussed on Biological Nutrient Removal using the novel BNR system, Advanced Step Aeration(ASA) system, which could cope with not only a low level of municipal wastewater but also a high strength of apartment wastewater. Nutrient removals through ASA system were considerably excelent: at influent levels of T-N 40~80㎎/l, T-P 4.0~8.0㎎/l, respectively, removal efficiencies for T-N and T-P are 70~85% and 90% and effluent level for T-N and T-P are 10~15㎎/l and 0.4~0.6㎎/l. On the basis of 13 ℃, nitrification rate(KN) in aerobic tank was calculated to be 0.892 ㎎N/gMLSSㆍhr. Denitrification rate(KDN) according to C/N ratio from 3.68 to 4.3 and temperature from 13 to 18 ℃ was linearly increased and presented to be from 0.64 to 0.95 ㎎N/gMLSSㆍhr. Step-feeding raw wastewater to anaerobic and anoxic tank and using raw wastewater as external carbon source have brought about the improvement of denitrification capacity. Anoxic sludge tank minimized the nitrite and nitrate inhibition in the return activated sludge and maximized phosphorus release through the stable DO control.

Analysis of two-dimension unsteady flows with a free surface in a rectangular container subject to a linear reciprocation force was preformed by numerical and experimental methods. FVM was used for the numerical computation of the two-dimensional flows. We consider the surface tension as well as the viscous/elastic properties of the free surface. The steady recirculatory flow is visualized by a laser sheet, and the free-surface flow is analysed by a PIV method. It is shown that the free-surface properties affect the inner steady flow significantly.
