This preliminary study was conducted to determine the effects of inorganic nitrogen forms and their ratios on plant growth of Cymbidium kanran native to Cheju, Korea. The results were summarized as follows : 1) The application of nitrate nitrogen at 125 ppm was more effective for the increase in plant height than was that of ammonium nitrogen, but nitrogen concentrations greater than 125 ppm were more detrimental for plant height, regardless of inorganic nitrogen forms applied. 2) The fresh weight decreased as the nitrogen concentrations increased, regardless of inorganic nitrogen forms applied. The combined treatment of nitrate at 125 ppm with ammonium nitrogen at 125 ppm was most effective for the increase in the fresh weight, but all other treatments decreased the fresh weight significantly. 3) Compared to the controls, the leaf number decreased as nitrogen concentrations increased, regardless of inorganic nitrogen forms applied. 4) More severe phytotoxicity on both leaves and roots was observed with increasing total nitrogen concentration applied, regardless of inorganic nitrogen forms. Ammonium nitrogen concentrations greater than 125 ppm were more detrimental than nitrate nitrogen in plant growth.

When the clamp meter approaches the electric path where current is flowing, leakage current can be measured at a distance from the electric current because the induced current increases as the magnitude of the current increases and approaches nearer to the electric path. Therefore, measurements were carried out from a distance to avoid this effect. In addition, the measured values differ depending on the location of the power line that penetrates the ZCT of the clamp meter, thus measurements were performed at a location where this effect was minimized. The fraction of compliant branch circuits, whose leakage current was lower than 1.00 mA, was found to be 69.0% out of the total of 439 branch circuits, while the percentage of compliant branch circuits having an insulation resistance higher than $0.20M{\Omega}$ was found to be 93.2%. The reason why the percentage of compliant branch circuits with low leakage current was low might be due to the inclusion of capacitive leakage current in the total measured leakage current.

본 연구는 미국 초ㆍ중등학교에서 실과영역으로서의 농업교육에 관한 문헌을 고찰을 함으로서 미래 우리나라 농업교육과정의 개발과 시행에 관한 아이디어를 제공하고자 하였다. 논문의 구성은 4개 영역으로 이루어져 있다. 영역Ⅰ에서는 실과 내에서의 농업교육의 중요성과 초ㆍ중등학교에 개설된 농업교육과정을 설명하였다. 영역Ⅱ에서는 공립 초ㆍ중등학교의 농업교육에 대한 학력 기준을 다루었으며 주정부의 학력 기준 설정에서 필요한 요건들을 문답(question and answer) 형식으로 고찰하였다. 영역Ⅲ에서는 주정부의 농업교육과정 기준과 수준에 관하여 고찰하였고, 주 정부의 학력 기준을 지역과 단위 학교에 어떻게 적용하고 있는지에 대하여 고찰하였다. 마지막으로 영역 Ⅳ에서는 초등교사의 농업에 관한 지식과 수업 활동들이 교육과정에 어떻게 통합 반영되고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그리고 농업의 타 교과와의 통합에 대한 교사의 인식, 교실에서의 농업활동에 대한 교사의 의욕, 농업 관련 산업 및 기술에 대한 교사의 태도가 초등 교육과정에서 농업을 타 교과와 통합 운영하는데 어떻게 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 고찰하였다.
초등학교 정서장애아를 위한 원예치료의 문헌적 탐색 및 실과교육에의 적용방안

Social, psychological and mental stresses recently tend to increase mental disorders(sickness) of human-beings. Such stresses are not exceptional to elementary school children, and tend to make them impatient, aggressive and rebellious. Thus, this study was carried out to review literatures on mentally disturbed elementary school students as affected by horticultural activities, called horticultural therapy, and to develop a model for class instruction to which the horticultural therapy might be applied in elementary practical arts subject. The results from this study were summarized as follows: 1. Among all elementary school children, 10-15% students have experienced depression, anxiety or irritation, and maladjustment behaviors in their school lives. It was reported that both depression and anxiety were significantly reduced by gardening activities of horticultural crops. 2. A great number of low grade students(1-3 graders) have experienced difficulties in maintaining normal social relationship with their classmates. It was known that the difficulties were due to mental disorders, which often resulted in maladjustment behaviors. Such behaviors were also reported to be possibly reduced and/or improved by horticultural activities as gardening. 3. The model for class instruction, which the horticultural therapy was applied to the Unit Three ‘Gardening Flowering Plants and Vegetables’ for the fifth graders in Practical Arts subject, were developed for emotionally disturbed school children, and presented here in this study. 4. As a conclusion, the results from this study are expected to widen the use of horticultural therapy to elementary schools as an alternative for the children experiencing mental disorders.
