The catalytic reactions of ethylbenzene were investigated using a micro flow reactor on modified H-ZSM-5 zeolites. Several catalysts, including H-, K-, P-Mg-ZSM-5 and H-Y, were prepared by conventional methods. On H-ZSM-5 catalyst, the major products of ethylbenzene were benzene and diethylbenzenes, and the high p-selectivity was revealed. Other products include toluene, xylenes, propylbenzene and ethyltoluenes. Some mechanistic approach will be followed in the light of the zeolite pore structure, acidity and the reaction temperature.
Preparation, structure, and properties of cellulose nanofibril/silk sericin composite film

Recently, sericin has attracted increasing attention in biomedical and cosmetic research because of its useful properties including acceleration of wound healing, improvement of cell attachment, and inhibition of ultraviolet-B induced apoptosis. However, sericin films have poor mechanical properties, which restricts the application to those fields. In this study, cellulose nanofibril (CNF)/sericin composite films were fabricated by solvent casting, and the effects of ultrasonication time and CNF content on the solution turbidity, molecular conformation, and film mechanical properties of sericin film were examined. As the ultrasonication time increased, the turbidity of the CNF/sericin suspension decreased. Conversely, as the CNF content increased, the turbidity increased. However, b-sheet crystallization and mechanical properties remained almost unchanged by varying the ultrasonication time and CNF content, indicating that CNF is not effective to improve the mechanical properties of sericin films

This paper is on the failure properties of eco-friendly glass fiber members to reinforce the subway platform by screen door installation. Reinforcing of the platform requires construction of a lightweight, easy-to-install glass fiber material because it is constructed in a short time and in a narrow space. In this study, the fracture characteristics of glass fiber materials, which are inhomogeneous materials, were investigated. The main experimental variables are the cross sectional area, length (short column, long column) and the end cap. Ten compression tests and four bending tests were performed in this experiment. As a result of the experiment show that three modes that occur in non-uniform glass fiber columns are represented by resistance mechanisms. The effect of the end reinforcement cap was about 30 %. Subsequent studies are needed to complement design criteria of inhomogeneous materials and buckling cracking phenomena.
우리나라 도시지역의 식환경 측정을 위한 조사도구 개발 및 신뢰도 검정 - 식품상점을 중심으로 -

Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop a reliable measurement tool to assess the urban food environment,particularly focusing on food stores in Korea. Methods: The items for the measurement tool were selected throughsystematic literature reviews and adjusted to the Korean food environment. A total of 25 food stores in an urban area wererecruited for the pilot test to evaluate the time required for completion of the survey, ease of response, willingness toparticipate, difficulties in conducting the survey, and appropriateness, and 34 food stores were recruited for assessment ofthe reliability of the tool using percent agreement and kappa value. Results: The measurement tool is composed ofquestions regarding food store characteristics, accessibility, and food availability. On average, 26 minutes was required tosurvey a single food store, and the subjects and interviewers answered that the process was not difficult for the survey. Thepercent agreement for the inter-rater and test-retest reliability ranged from 93.9~98.8% and 91.9~97.9, respectively. Thekappa values ranged from 0.78 to 0.97, which was very high. Percent agreement and kappa value of food with healthyoption were lower than those of the general food in the inter-rater reliability (p = 0.0027, p = 0.0095 respectively) as wellas in the test-retest reliability (p = 0.0081, p = 0.0290, respectively), although they were still high enough (86.4~98.0% forpercent agreement, 0.64~0.96 for kappa value). Conclusion: The newly developed measurement tool for assessment offood store environment appears to be feasible and reliable; therefore, it can be applied to research on the associationbetween food environment and dietary behaviors as well as health outcomes. 본 연구는 도시지역의 식품상점 환경을 측정하기 위한조사도구를 개발하고, 활용가능성 및 신뢰도를 검증하기위해 실시하였다. 문헌고찰을 통해 기 개발된 식품상점 조사도구를 검토하여, 우리나라 실정에 맞는 식환경 조사도구를개발하였고, 크게식품상점의특성, 접근성, 식품의이용가능성에 대한 문항으로 구성하였다. 개발된 조사도구의 현장적용성 검토를 위해 소요시간, 응답수월성, 참여의사, 현장조사의 어려움, 사용된 용어의 적절성 등을 평가한결과, 조사시간이 상점의 특성에 따라 차이가 있다는 점을제외하고는, 모든 측면에서 현장적용성이 높았다. 그리고식품의 이용가능성 문항에 대해 신뢰도를 검증한 결과, 조사자간및조사자내일치율이매우높았다. 건강이강조된식품의 경우에는 일반식품에 비해 상대적으로 일치율이낮았으나, 여전히 높은 일치율 수준을 보였다. 본 연구에서개발한 식환경 조사도구는 현장적용성과 신뢰도가 높은것이 확인되었으므로, 추후에 객관적인 식환경 측정이 필요한연구에다양하게활용될수있을것이다.

납사 그랙킹 공정과정에서 사용되는 caustic 농도와 부산물로 형성되는 $Na_2CO_3$, $Na_2S$ 농도를 신속하고 정확하게 분석할 수 있는 검량법의 개발과 근적외선 분광기의 적용가능성에 대하여 연구하였다. 주성분 회귀분석을 이용한 검량법과 근적외선 분광기의 조합은 현재 사용되고 있는 습식 적정법의 대체 분석법으로 빠르고 비파괴적으로 적용 가능한 기기이며, 0.1 표준예측오차의 정밀한 분석을 할 수 있다. The feasibility of using FT-NIR (Fourier Transform Near Infrared) spectrometer to measure NaOH, $Na_2CO_3$ and $Na_2S$ concentration in a naphtha cracking process, and an outline of the method development to identify spectral feature of the hydroxide whose band is overlapped by a strong water absorption were demonstrated. For measuring NaOH, $Na_2CO_3$ and $Na_2S$, FT-NIR spectrometer is a rapid and possible alternative to the current titration method with a standard deviation of 0.1.
