We present a rare case of an enterogenous cyst of the testis in a 21-year-old man. On ultrasonography, an ovoid hypoechoic solid mass (2×2×1.5 cm) was confined to the right testis. The left testis and bilateral epididymis were within normal limits. Grossly, the tumor was a unilocular cystic mass, without a solid component. Microscopically, the cystic mass was composed of mucin-secreting simple columnar epithelial lining cells, lamina propria and a well-differentiated muscularis propria. There was no evidence of any germ cell derivatives or neoplasia in the cystic mass and in the surrounding testicular parenchyma. Immunohistochemistry showed a positive reaction for cytokeratin and the epithelial membrane antigen in the epithelial lining; in addition, it was positive for smooth muscle actin in the well-differentiated muscularis propria.
헥산추출 전처리에 의한 바이오가스 중의 실록산 분석방법의 개선

This study was conducted to improve the analytical method of siloxanes in biogas. Methanol and hexane were tested as absorption solvents of the impinger absorption method, and also the hexane extraction for pretreatment of sample was evaluated. Manufactured gas contained siloxanes of 50 ppm was completely absorbed by the methanol impinger absorption. The absorption efficiency of biogas containing only 2 ppm, however, was maximum 84%. As the condensate on the first impinger increased, the absorption rate of methanol was decreased. The hexane extraction method of the sample was considered to proper the method of moisture removal. The hexane extraction result showed the high recovery factor and the low relative standard deviation. It is suggested that the suitable choice of solvent and pretreatment is required, as the analysis result of siloxane sample may be differentiated depending on the type of biogas or the sampling point.
Microelectromechnical system 소자를 위한 박막형 2차 전지용 SnO₂ 음극 박막의 충방전 특성 평가

박막형 2차 전지의 음극 물질로 SnO₂ 박막을 r.f. 스퍼터링을 이용하여 stainless steel이 컬렉터로 증착된 유리 기판 위에 제작허여 새로운 anode 재료로써의 가능성을 알기 위하여 충ㆍ방전 실험을 수행하였다. 증착된 박막은 산소의 분압과 무관하게 모두 순수한 SnO₂ 상으로 관찰되었다. 산소 분압이 증가함에 따라 증착된 박막 내의 결정립의 크기가 증가하였으나 80:20 이후로는 거의 변화가 없었다. 플라즈마 내의 산소 음이온의 재스퍼터링 효과에 기인하여 산소 분압이 증가함에 따라서 표면 거칠기 값이 감소하다 다시 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 증착 조건에 무관하게 모든 박막은 첫 번째 사이클에서 부반응을 갖는 전형적언 SnO₂ anode의 특성을 보여 주었다. 200회의 충방전 실험에서 SnO₂ 박막의 용량은 Sn-O에서의 산소 함량 및 표면 거칠기에 의존함을 알 수 있다. 사이클 특성은 초기 충방전 반응에 의해 결정되며 높은 초기 용량 값을 갖는 SnO₂보다 낮은 용량 값을 갖는 경우가 더 안정한 사이클 특성을 보여주었다. SnO₂ thin films for thin film secondary battery anode were deposited on glass substrate with stainless steel collector and charge/discharge experiments were conducted to investigate feasibility of SnO₂ thin film as a new anode material. The as-deposited films were pure SnO₂ phase which is not related to deposition condition. The grain size on the surface of as-aeposited films increased with increase of oxygen partial pressure. However, the grain size did not show any change above oxygen partial pressure of 80:20. The surface roughness of the as-deposited films increased after decreasing because of resputtering effect of oxygen negative ion in plasma. All films showed typical SnO₂ anode characteristics which has a side effect at the first cycle, which is not related to the deposition condition. The charge/discharge experiments of 200 cycles indicated that capacity of SnO₂ films depended on oxygen contents and surface roughness. The cycle characteristics was determined by initial charge/discharge reaction. The SnO₂ film with low initial capacity showed more stable cycle characteristics than film with high initial capacity.
