      • Coevaporation에 의한 cd₁-xZn_(x)S 박막 제작 및 특성에 관한 연구

        In this paper, structural optical and electrical properties of Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S thin films prepared by coevaporation method were studied. Also, effects of ZnS mole ratio(x) to CdS on properties of thin film Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S/CdTe solar cells were investigated. When the ZnS mole ratio was less than 0.85, the crystal structure of Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S films was hexagonal with the c axis aligned perpendicular to the substrate. For x>0.85, however, the Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S films were grown with cubic zincblende structire. As the ZnS mole ratio increased the lattice constant of Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S films rapidly increased with ZnS mole ratio. The open circuit voltage of Cd₁xZnxS/CdTe solar cells increased with x due to reducing of the electron affinity difference between Cd₁xZnxS and CdTe films. However, the increase of series resistance due to the high resistivity of Cd_(1-x)Zn_(x)S films results on reducing conversion efficiency.

      • Induction of heme oxygenase-1 protects against podocyte apoptosis under diabetic conditions

        Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is an anti-oxidant enzyme normally upregulated in response to oxidant injury. Here we determined the role of HO-1 in podocyte apoptosis in glomeruli of streptozotocin-treated rats and in immortalized mouse podocytes cultured in media containing normal or high glucose. HO-1 expression, its activity, the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 protein, and active caspase-3 fragments were all significantly higher in isolated glomeruli of diabetic rats and in high glucose–treated podocytes. These increases were inhibited by zinc protoporphyrin treatment of the rats or by HO-1 siRNA treatment of the podocytes in culture. The number of apoptotic cells was also significantly increased in the glomeruli of diabetic rats and in high glucose–treated podocytes. Inhibition of HO-1 accentuated the increase in apoptotic cells both in vivo and in vitro. Our findings suggest that HO-1 expression protects against podocyte apoptosis under diabetic conditions.

        Chiari malformation 환아에서 상악 구치부의 부유치

        Chiari malformation은 하부 뇌간과 소뇌가 대공 속으로 들어가 하향 편위의 소견을 보이는 중추 신경계의 기형으로 3가지 type으로 분류된다. 본 증례는 7세 10개월 된 여환이 10일전부터 칫솔질시 상악 우측 어금니가 아프고 얼굴이 약간 붓고 아프다는 주소로 내원하였는데, 임상구강검사결과 상악 우측 제1대구치 원심에 치은낭이 형성되어 있었고 동요도와 동통이 존재하였다. 악골 방사선사진검사결과 상악 구치부의 골밀도가 정상에 비해 낮으며, 특히 좌우측 제1대구치 하방의 골의 부재가 보였다. 유년성 치주염의 가진 하에 치주치료 중 전신질환과의 연관성 문진으로 Chiari malformation의 의과적 병력을 확인한 후 3차원 전산화단층촬영을 시행하였다. 두개골이 전반적으로 얇으며 다수의 골결손이 관찰되고 대공이 다소 커져있으며 후두골과 상악골의 골밀도가 감소되어 있었고 특히 상악 구치부의 치조골이 거의 없어 상악 좌우측 제1대구치가 부유치처럼 보였다. 이에 본원 신경외과로 협의진료를 의뢰하여 계속적으로 관찰하고 있는 중이다. 소아에서 치주염이 의심될 때 leukemia, hystiocytosis X, hypoposphatasia등의 잠재된 전신질환과 연관되어 있을 수 있으므로 적절한 검사를 시행해야 하며 전신질환의 근본적인 원인을 치료할 수 있도록 고려해야 한다. The Chiari malformation is a deformation within the central nervous system which the lower brain stem and the cerebellum migrate into the foramen magnum causing herniation. In 1891, Arnold Chiari classified such symptoms into 3 categories. This case report is of a 8-year-old female with the complaint of a slight facial swelling and pain on the upper right molar during tooth brushing since 10 days before. Clinical examination showed gingival pocket formation on distal of the upper right first molar with pain and mobility of the tooth. Radiographic examination showed generalized low bone density in the upper molar area, and especially no bone support above the upper right and left first molars were noted. With a temporary diagnosis of Early-onset periodontitis, consultations with medical doctors for the possibility of an underlying systemic disease were made during periodontal treatment. 3D CT was taken with after a final diagnosis of Chiari malformation. Genralized thinning and defect of the cranial bone was noted and the foramen magnum was slightly enlarged. The occipital and maxillary bone was low in density, and the alveolar bone of maxillary posterior teeth was especially almost non-existing causing the upper right and left first molar to be floating. For this, the patient went under consultation with the department of neurosurgery and is still under observation. Periodontitis in childreren is very rare. When symptoms of periodontitis appear in a child, due to the possibility of an underlying systemic disease such as leukemia, histiocytosis X, and hypophosphatasia, proper examinations should be carried out so that the primary factor the symptoms can be treated.

        심상성 루프스에서 Nested-Primer Gene Amplification Assay에 의한 결핵균 DNA의 검출

        Lupus vulgaris, which is a progressive form of postprimary tuberculosis in patients with a moderate to high degree of immunity and tuberculin sensitivity, is the most common, most serious, and most variable type of cutaneous and mucous membrane tuberculosis. Domonstration of M.tuberculosis directly or in culture in some of these eruptions can be difficult. It is essential to demonstrate the presence of M.tuberculosis in a clinical sample for a definitive diagnosis of tuberculosis. With the discovery of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the DNA diagnostic approach for infection has developed in a short period. With the dual purpose of definitive and rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis, this study examined the usefulness of a nested PCR for detection of M. turberculosis. Compared with a single-step PCR, the two-step PCR was able to enhance sensitivity approximately 1,000-fold on the basis of bacterial counts and DNA quantity. We concluded that two-step nested PCR appeared to be the most useful PCR protocol for early and sensitive diagnostic method detecting M.tuberculosis in acid-fast stain negative specimens.

      • 鋼橋梁 下部플랜지 맞대기 鎔接이음부의 鎔入不足에 따른 疲勞擧動에 관한 硏究

        A major defective welding pattern in the steel bridges is identified as the lack of welding area due to the insufficient welding penetration. In this study is fatigue behavior and fatigue life of steel bridge under flange of weld insufficient of butt weld joint. Fatigue behavior and fatigue life test is minor's law and fracture analysis and nowaday, finite element method is used to many times. By considering the welding defect in the above, structural analysis is conducted to evaluate butt weld joint influence due to welding defect on the safety of steel bridges. The results indicate that, due to the insufficient welding penetration, the stress obtained in the analysis is over the allowable fatigue stress level, and its influence on safety of the bridges is significant

        몰리브덴이 첨가된 Stellite 6 합금의 마모와 부식특성

        Hardfacing layers of Stellite 6 with different molybdenum content are deposited on AISI 1045-carbon steel using Plasma Transferred Arc welding(PTA) machine. The microstructures, wear and corrosion resistances of the hardfacing layer are investigated in order to clarify the effect of molybdenum in Stellite 6 alloys. The microstructural characterizations of the hardfacing layers are performed using X-ray diffraction, back scattered electron images, and scanning electron microscopy. With an increase of Mo contents, M_6C type carbide are formed instead of Cr-rich type carbides, and so this microstructural change enhanced the mechanical properties such as wear and corrosion resistance of a Mo-modified Stellite 6 alloy.

        대기업의 팀역량과 팀원 특성과의 관계

        이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대기업의 팀역량(팀지식, 팀스킬, 팀태도)과 팀원틀의 특성요인(능력요인, 성격요인) 평균 수준을 측정하고, 팀역량과 팀원 특성과의 관계를 구명하는 데 있었다. 모집단은 우리나라 300대 기업에 종사하고 있는 팀원이었으며, 표본 집단은 대한상공회의소 기업정보 (http://www.kochambiz.net)의 매출순위 300대 기업을 기준으로 업종별 비율을 고려하여 선정된 35개 기업 710명의 팀원이었다. 구체적인 연구결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 우리나라 300대 기업의 팀역량 수준은 이론적 평균보다 높았으며, 팀원들은 대체로 외향성과 성실성의 성격을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 팀원들의 능력요인이 성격요인보다 팀역량과 높은 상관관계를 보였으며, 팀역량을 통계적으로 유의미하게 설명하는 팀원 능력요인은 대인관계, 업무능력 등이었다. 셋째, 팀원들의 성격요인은 팀역량에 통계적으로 유의미한 설명력을 가지고 있지 않았다. 이와 같은 결론을 토대로 ① 팀원들의 경쟁력 향상과 기업성과 제고를 위한 교육훈련 및 인적자원 활용 전략 수립, ② 팀역량의 다양한 차원과 요소들을 포괄할 수 있는 팀역량 척도에 대한 지속적인 수정·보완 연구, ③ 팀역량 하위요인 수준의 시간 흐름에 따른 변화, 방향, 영향요인 등을 고찰하는 종단적 연구 수행, ④ 기업규모, 팀유형 등에 따라 연구대상을 다양화하여 팀역량과 팀원특성요인 간 관계 구명, ⑤ 팀원들의 특성과 팀역량 사이에서 이를 매개하거나 조절해줄 수 있는 변인을 구명하는 연구 등을 후속연구로 제안하였다. The Purpose of this study is to determine the relation between team competency and team members' characteristics(ability and personality) by measuring the average level of team competency and team members' characteristics working for top 300 companies in Korea. The population for the study was team members of top 300 companies, which were on top of the list of top 1000 companies categorized into the sales by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry(http://www.kochambiz.net). Using the proportional stratified sampling technique, 710 team members of 35 companies were sampled for this study. The Major findings of this study were as follows: First, the team competency level of top 300 companies in Korea reached higher than the theoretical average and the personality of top-300-company team members was mainly extroverted and conscientious. Second, especially team members' ability variables were more related than personality variables and the statistics of the study showed that team competency could be measured mainly by interpersonal relationship and business capability in order. Third, all of the team members' personality variables didn't significantly explain team competency. Based on the results of this study, some recommendations for future research were made as follows: First, further researches are needed to develop the strategy for training & education, and practical application to human resources in the company. Second, the team competency scale which can comprehend various dimensions and elements should be developed continuously. Third, the longitudinal study about team competency should be conducted to measure the change, direction and influences in sub-variables. Forth, the relationship between team competency and team members' characteristics in other cases on various scale of enterprises or types of teams should be investigated. Fifth, the intermediary or controlling variables between team competency and team members' characteristics should be identified.

      • 동하중을 받는 FRAME 구조물의 확률유한요소해석 및 신뢰성해석

        Most dynamic systems have various random properties in excitation and system parameters. Therefore, in this paper, reliability analysis for structural response is proposed fro the linear dynamic system with random properties in both excitation and system parameters. The system parameters and responses with random properties are modeled by the perturbation technique. A displacement and bending moment of frame structure is acquired in Stochastic Finite Element Method Program(SFEMP) and Dynamic Stochastic Finite Element Method Program(DSFEMP) using perturbation method, and Direct Monte Carlo Simulation Program(DMCSP) is used to verify and compare previous results. Comparing outputs of SFEMP and DSFEMP with them of DMCSP, it show that they are similar to each other. Also DMCSP need much time to analyze a complicated structure, but SFEMP and DSFEMP can reduce quite time. In this study, it is assumed that excitations, system parameters and response are Gaussian. The results of response for the analysis are compared to those of numerical simulation. Also the probability of failure are calculated for using Advanced First Order Second Moment(AFOSM) of the general reliability analysis method.

        Tracking method, one of the simplest analog-to-digital Conversters (ADC), is redesigned using adaptive delta modulation(ADM). That ADC shows the improvement in various kinds of conversion errors, particularly in the slope overload error, therefore that shows the capability to expand the dynamic range(DR) which is the worst error in tracking method. Further study area in this field is another tracking method using asynchronous DM.

      • 三天地의 環境과 生物多樣性 : I. Enviornmental Factors and Flora I. 環境要因과 植物相에 關하여

        Environmental factors and phytological aspects of Samchunimpoundment in Kyongsan, Kyongpook were studied. 40 quadrats in 4 sites had 94% herbaceous cover, 31% shrub cover and 18% tree cover. Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior, Metaplexis japonica, Erigeron annuus, Humulus Japonicus, Eragrostis ferruginea, Artemisia princeps var. orientalis were dominant herbaceous species and found cultivated plants of Hordeumn vulgare var. hexastichon, Prunus persica, Morus alba and neophytes of Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior, Erigeron canadensis, Erigeron annuus, Ailanthus altissima, Bidens bipinnata, Lactuca indica var. laciniata, Robinia pseudo-acacia, oenothera odorata, Euphobia maculata. The investigated sites were divided into 4 patterns based on the vegetation with high difference level and Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior, Medicago sativa, Setaria viridis, Metaplexis japonica, Humulus japonicus, Calystegia japonica, Forsythia koreana, Lsctuca indica var. laciniata were different species group. More than 90% on the surface area of water mass covered with Nelumbo nucifera, Marsilea quadrifolia and Typha angustata and distributed Hydrilla verticillata, Ceratophyllum demersum, Trypa pseudo-incisa, Myriophyllum spicatum under water. Average data of environmental factor analysis are as followings; air temperature 25.8℃, ph 6.77, total hardness 117.94㎎/ℓ, SS 4.5㎎/ℓ,Do 3.3㎎/ℓ,BOD 6.6㎎/ℓ,COD 7.2㎎/ℓ,cl- 17.56㎎/ℓ,?? 7.14㎎/ℓ,Mn 0.05㎎/ℓ, Zn 0.04㎎/ℓ. Total quality of impoundment water were heavily polluted and were quality class Ⅳ.
