        Testing Korean EFL Learners’ Verb-particle Collocation Knowledge and Use

        This paper aims to assess EFL learners’ knowledge of English verb-particle collocations via general contexts in English. The "English Verb-Particle Collocation Test (VPC test)" was developed and administered to 134 Korean EFL learners at the university level. The VPC test consists of three subtests divided by test item types in line with recognition, recall, and production: a multiple-choice test, a gap-filling test, and a writing test: All the data were analyzed using statistical and psychometrical methods. The results of analysis revealed that the VPC test achieved not only an acceptably high degree of test score reliability for the two multiple-choice test sections, but also a solid reliability and a high correlation with the TOEFL (convt) scores. This study supports the argument that the VPC test created for the study is a reasonable measure of Korean EFL learners’ collocation knowledge. The study also demonstrates that test item formats and test length have a considerable impact on the reliability and validity of test scores. One more important finding was that the examinees tended to use specific, identifiable types of VPCs according to their essay test scores. Finally, this study reveals that VPCs can be indirect indicators of proficiency in EFL education.

        AI의 음성품질이 브랜드 신뢰 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the voice quality of the AI ​​agent facilitating the launching show on the brand trust and purchase intention. For research purposes, research hypotheses and research models were presented based on previous studies, and empirical analysis was conducted through questionnaires. The results of the study are as follows: First, among AI voice quality factors, intimacy, emotional expression, naturalness, and voice attributes have a significant effect on brand trust. Second, among the factors of AI voice quality, intimacy, emotional expression, and Understandability were found to have a significant influence on purchase intention. The implication of this study is to discover that the improvement of AI voice quality has a positive effect on the brand's trust and purchase intention. In spite of the results of the study, the degree of recognition of the factors affecting the voice quality may differ depending on the study conditions. In the future, if the scope of the research subject is expanded and proceeded, it is considered that it will have more validity in the use of the research results. 본 연구는 론칭쇼를 진행하는 AI 에이전트 진행자의 음성품질이 브랜드 신뢰와 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여, 선행연구를 토대로 연구가설과 연구모형을 제시하고 설문조사를 통해 실증분석을 하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째, AI 음성품질 요소 중 친밀감, 정서표현, 자연스러움, 음성속성이 브랜드 신뢰에 유의미한 영향을 미치고, 둘째, AI 음성품질 요소 중 친밀감, 정서표현, 이해가능성이 구매의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 시사점은 AI 음성품질의 향상이 브랜드의 신뢰와 구매의도에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 것을 발견한 것이다. 연구의 결과에도 불구하고 연구조건에 따라 음성품질에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 인식 정도가 다르게 나타날 수 있다는 것이다. 향후에는 연구 대상의 범위를 확장하여 진행한다면 연구 결과의 활용에 있어 보다 타당성을 가질 것으로 사료된다.

        딥러닝 기반의 주행가능 영역 추출 모델에 관한 연구

        Core technologies that lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and autonomous driving, are implemented and serviced through the rapid development of computing power and hyper-connected networks based on the Internet of Things. In this paper, we implement two different models for drivable area segmentation in various environment, and propose a better model by comparing the results. The models for drivable area segmentation are using DeepLab V3+ and Mask R-CNN, which have great performances in the field of image segmentation and are used in many studies in autonomous driving technology. For driving information in various environment, we use BDD dataset which provides driving videos and images in various weather conditions and day&night time. The result of two different models shows that Mask R-CNN has higher performance with 68.33% IoU than DeepLab V3+ with 48.97% IoU. In addition, the result of visual inspection of drivable area segmentation on driving image, the accuracy of Mask R-CNN is 83% and DeepLab V3+ is 69%. It indicates Mask R-CNN is more efficient than DeepLab V3+ in drivable area segmentation. 인공지능, 빅데이터, 자율주행 등 4차 산업혁명시대를 이끄는 핵심기술은 컴퓨팅 파워의 급속한 발전과 사물인터넷에 기반한 초연결 네트워크를 통해 구현되고 서비스된다. 본 논문에서는 자율주행을 위한 기본적인 기능으로 다양한 환경에서도 정확하게 주행가능한 영역을 인식하여 추출하는 인공지능 딥러닝 모델들을 구현하고, 그 결과를 비교, 분석한다. 주행가능한 영역을 추출하는 딥러닝모델은 영상 분할 분야에서 성능이 우수하고 자율주행 연구에서 많이 사용하는 Deep Lab V3+와 Mask R-CNN을 활용하였다. 다양한환경에서의 주행 정보를 위해 여러 가지 날씨 조건과 주·야간 환경에서의 주행 영상 및 이미지를 제공하는 BDD 데이터셋을 학습데이터로 사용하였다. 활용한 모델들의 실험 결과, DeepLab V3+는 48.97%의 IoU를 보였으며, Mask R-CNN은 68.33%의 IoU로 더 우수한성능을 보였다. 또한, 구현한 모델로 추출된 주행가능 영역을 이미지에 표시하여 육안으로 검사한 결과, Mask R-CNN은 83%, Deep Lab V3+는 69% 정확도로 Mask R-CNN이 Deep Lab V3+ 보다 주행가능한 영역을 추출하는 분야에서는 더 성능이 높은 것으로 확인하였다.

        공학교육인증 졸업생과 비인증 졸업생의 취업률 비교 분석: 서울시립대학교 사례

        This study investigated the effect of engineering education accreditation on employment rate at the University of Seoul. The graduates who had been educated in the accredited program showed higher grade point average (GPA) and higher employment rate (89.0%) than the graduates who had been educated in the program without the accreditation (70.9%). The employment rate of all graduates increased with increasing GPA, the mathematics-science-computer (MSC) credit acquired, design credit acquired, and the number of interviews with supervising professors. Theses results showed that the MSC and design subjects and the counselling are at least beneficial in getting a job for students at the University of Seoul. When GPA, design credit acquired, and the number of counselling are the same, graduates with the engineering education accreditation showed much higher employment rate than the graduates without the accreditation. These preliminary results suggest that the engineering education programs with accreditation at the University of Seoul are beneficial for students in getting a gob through motivating them to acquire more credits in design subjects, doing greater number of counselling with supervising professors, and making better academic achievement. In addition, the engineering education accreditation at the University of Seoul helped students developing their personal skills such as team workability, communication skills, and creativity via carrying out design subjects, which may affect the employment rate indirectly.

        외식업체의 정보제공수단이 구전의도에 미치는 영향 -수용태도의 매개효과를 중심으로-

        The effect of the information provision means of the food service company on the word-of-mouth intention was investigated through the parameter acceptance attitude. First, Hypothesis 1 on the effect of food service provider on acceptance attitude had a significant effect on reception attitude. Second, to understand the effect of information provision means on word-of-mouth intention, regression analysis was conducted by analyzing each item of information provision means. As a result, human cues, functional cues, and spatial cues according to the factors of information provision had a significant effect, but it did not have a significant effect on digital cues.Third, as a result of Hypothesis 3, simple regression analysis was conducted to find out the effect of acceptance attitude on word-of-mouth intention. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of acceptance attitude between information provision means and word-of-mouth intention, human cues, functional cues, and spatial cues of information provision means played a partial mediating role, and digital cues played a role of fully mediating acceptance attitude among information provision means.

        O2O베이커리 상품 메뉴품질이 신뢰도와 소비자태도에 미치는 영향

        This study demonstrate the positive effect of the O2O system in the bakery industry in terms of product quality and consumer satisfaction. It observes how the bakery industry has been evolved since the O2O system introduced. This study aims to suggest new academical agenda regarding the beneficial effect of adopting the system on the business. The menu quality, taste, various choices, and prices are newly introduced as a new statistical variable to examine significant differences between the bakeries were using the O2O system. A questionnaire survey was conducted between July 1, 2019, and September 1, 2019, among the customers who experienced the O2O bakery. The valid data collected from 202 individuals were analyzed by the empirical analysis of the SPSS 18.0 statistical package program. The research results are as follows; First, the qualitative variances of the O2O system which are menu quality, taste, various choices, and prices affect consumer trust. Second, we examined the effects of the O2O bakery component on consumer attitudes and found that both subfactors had a significantly positive (+) effect. Third, 'trust' has been shown to have a significantly positive (+) effect on consumer attitudes so that it indicates that 'trust' in O2O bakery menu quality could affect the positive consumer behavior. Based on the results of this study, we will provide useful data for bakery industry development.

        Treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcer Using Matriderm In Comparison with a Skin Graft

        Background For patients with neuropathy, vasculopathy, and impairment of wound healing, treatment of a diabetic foot ulcer poses many challenges. A large number of dermal analogues have been invented in an effort to overcome these challenges. Matriderm, a dermal analogue, is made from bovine collagen and elastin. This study was conducted in order to evaluate the effectiveness of Matriderm for treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, in comparison with skin grafting. Methods Sixty patients with diabetic foot ulcer were included in this prospective study. The average age of the patients, who had type II diabetes mellitus, was 58 years old. The patients were allocated to an experimental or control group with their consents. The patients were selected with their consent for inclusion in an experimental group and a control group. Patients in the experimental group received a Matriderm appliance and a split-thickness skin graft, while those in the control group received only a split-thickness skin graft. Results A shorter hospitalization period (7.52 weeks) was observed in the experimental group than in the control group (9.22 weeks), and a shorter period of time (8.61 weeks) was required for complete healing, compared with the control group (12.94 weeks), with statistical significance (P<0.05). A higher elasticity ratio of the affected side to the non-affected side was observed in the experimental group, compared with the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Matriderm enables effective healing and improves elasticity in treatment of patients with diabetic foot ulcer.
