Zine was electrodeposited in the zincate solution at the temperatures of 20 and 40℃ in range of current density from 0.5 to 8A/d㎡. The preferred orientaion changed from (11.0) to (11.0)+(11.2) texture with increasing cathode overpotential. The (11.0) preferred orientation was developed at low overpotential (790-1070mV), while the (11.0)+(11.2) texture at high overpotential (1050-1130mV). The surface of the deposits with (11.0) texture showed the smooth deposit of fine crystallite, while that with (11.0)+(11.2) was the smooth deposit of layer type. The cross-sectional microstractures of the deposits were the field orinted texture type of structure and granular one respectively.

A black spot and die-back symptoms were severely occurred on the branch of young persimmon tree at Chonju and Haenam between 1991 and 1992. The Pestalotia kaki isolated from symptoms were investigated in cultural character and pathogenicity. Pestalotia kaki was isolated from the black spot and die-back symptoms. Pestalotia kaki was classified into the strain I and Ⅱ by cultural character. The color of mycelium on the PDA, the strain l was white and turned yellowish in the center, and the strain Ⅱ was white. Conidia formed concentric Bones in the strain Ⅱ, and scattered in the strain Ⅰ . Pathogenicity of the strain I and Ⅱ was simillar.

경지이용이 토양 화학성과 미생물 군집상에 어떠한 영향이 있는지 경지 및 미경지 토양을 채취하여 토양지방산, 미생물밀도 및 미생물체량간(biomass C)의 관계를 조사하였다. 경지와 미경지 토양의 pH는 큰 차이가 없었지만, 전기전도도 (EC), 유기물, 유효인산 및 치환성 양이온 함량은 미경지 토양에 비해 경지토양에서 높았다. 훈증추출법에 의해 측정된 미생물체량과 지방산 총 함량간에는 유의한 정의 상관관계가 있었다 ($r^2=0.557$, n=18, p<0.01). 세균, 방선균, 사상균, 원생동물을 나타내는 지표성 지방산 함량은 경지토양에서 높은 경향을 보였다. We examined the relationships among community composition, microbial population, and microbial biomass to determine whether different land use leads to differences in microbial community composition. And also the relationships between soil characteristics and microbial community composition were investigated. There was no difference in pH between uncultivated and cultivated soils, but electrical conductivity, and contents of organic matter, available P and exchangeable cations were greater in the cultivated soil compared to the uncultivated soil. A linear correlation ($r^2=0.557$, n=18, p<0.01) was found between biomass-C estimated with fumigation extraction technique and total amount of fatty acids. An increase of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) for bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi and protozoa was observed in cultivated soil.

Iron overload from repeated blood transfusions and administration of iron agents in long term hemodialysis patients is a problem of increasing clinical significance, because eventually it can lead to secondary hemosiderosis and hemochromatosis. So it is important to diagnose iron overload early and restrict blood transfusions and administration of iron agents in these patients. Recently, we experienced two cases of hemochromatosis in long term hemodialysis, confirmed by serum ferritin level, bone marrow study and liver biopsy. One patient had received 110 pints of RBCs for 4 years, and the other patient received 120 pints of RBCs for 5 years. HLA typing was also studied and compared with hemochromatosis alleles (HA), HLA A3, B7, and B14. Treatment with desferrioxamine was started just after discharge, and we observed a reduction in the frequency of blood transfusions. We report these two cases with a brief review of the literature.

The wetlands are facing environmental changes such as desiccation that occurs with the passage of time and reduced ecosystem services from wetlands in the city. In order to maintain the ecosystem services provided by wetlands in urban areas, a system thinking about the trade-off phenomenon of ecosystem services occurring as the wetlands undergo environmental changes is needed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop strategies for wetland design using system thinking approach to enhance the resilience of ecosystem services degraded by the desiccation of wetlands and other disturbances. The objectives of this study include the system boundary and variables. Second, analyzing the dynamics of wetland design strategy. Third, it analyzes the trade-off phenomenon of ecosystem services in terms of the hydrology, hydric soil, and plants strategies to mitigate these effects. Fourth, wetland basic design to improve the resilience of ecosystem services. A wetland in Abuk-Mountain Neighborhood Park, Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, has been selected as a case study. Causal loop diagrams(CLDs) are used to analyze feedback in the wetland regime. In summary, hydrology, hydric soil, and plants is suggested as system boundaries to design plan. Design strategies for the wetland focused on robustness, redundancy, rapidity, and resourcefulness as a result of CLD analysis are first proposed in order to effectively maintain the wetland regime over the long term. Secondly, in a section related to hydrology, the CLD results show the trade-offs between provisioning-cultural services and regulating services. In order to control these services, a "water cycling system" has been implemented due to its strength in terms of robustness. The CLDs for hydric soil showed the trade-offs between regulating services and supporting services. An "installation of storm drainage for maintaining water levels" was selected due to the strength offered in terms of redundancy and rapidity. The CLDs for plants showed the trade-offs between provisioning - cultural services and regulating services. In order to control the strategic points, the "planting of indigenous vegetation" was suggested given the strength in terms of redundancy. In this study, a wetland design method is proposed that can improve the resilience of wetland ecosystem services by analyzing the dynamics overtime. The results of this research can theoretically be applied to help restore ecosystem services in wetlands using ecological landscape design. In addition, this study will contribute to reducing maintenance costs by improving wetland resilience.
