In odontogenic osteolytic lesions, the mechanism involved in inflammation 때d osteolysis is still under debate. We investigated the role 。OL-l ~ -1 ß, -4, -6, -8, TNF- a in the expansion of the odontogenic cysts, by using 50 cases of excised odontogenic cysts. The degrees of inflammation were graded into 2 groups and immunohistochernical stainings were performed, The cytoplasrnic reaction in squamous epithelial cells, stromal cells and infIitrating inflammatory cells was examined. The relationship between the expressions of IL-1 q -1 ß, -4, -6, -8, π-JF- aand the degree of inflammation and the correlation among them were analyzed. 까1e 비Stilαγtic expressions of IL-l ~ IL-l ß and TNF-awere 66.6%, 66.6% and 4O.00Al respeαively and the epithelial exp~않sions of IL-4, -6, -8 were 32.00Al, 38.00Al and 24.00Al respeαively. IL-4, -6 and 용 were positively stained in plasma cells in 38.00Al, endothelial cells in 40.00/0 and neutrophils in 24. 00Al respectively. The expresssion rate of IL-4 in plasma cells and IL-8 in epithelium and neutrophils were inα얹sed in ca않s with marked inflammation. 까1e exp!1않sion rate of IL-1 ßin 피해ocytes and IL-4 in plasma cells were positively correlated with the expæssion of TNF-1 ain histiocytes. π1e expression rate of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4 in the epithelium were correlated with the expression of IL-6 in the epithelium and endothelial cells. A1though statistically insi.맑표ìcant, the expression rate of IL-6 were decreased in cases with marked inflammation and nega디vely correlated with IL-8, the proinflammatory cytokine, and the expressions of IL-4 and IL-6 in the epithelium can be considered as inhibiting the inflammatory reaction. These results suggest that the expressions of IL-4 and IL-6 suppress and IL-8 stimulates the inflammatory reaction in Odontogenic Cysts.

유림 확대를 위한 사유림 매수가격 산정 개선방안 연구 -전라북도 매수사례지를 중심으로-

Since the long-term plan from 1996 to 2020 for expanding the national forest area in Korea, the national forest area owned by the Korea Forest Service increased by 240,000 ha (1.40 million ha in 1996 to 1.64 million ha in 2018). However, the national forest expansion policy has not deemed the following purchase price of private forests: (1) the standing trees omitted for the purchase in principle, and (2) the public value of forests. In this study, we evaluated forest land, standing trees, and public values of private forest lands purchased by the government in 2015-2016 to assess the values of forests. The results showed that the subjective decision of certified public appraisers greatly influenced the appraisal and assessment of forest land (e.g., the selection of the case regions for the transaction according to the selection of comparative plots and the omission of the value of standing trees in determining individual and other factors. Additionally, the official price posted by the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute with no harvesting cost and forest-related corporation profits was the standard for evaluating the value of standing trees of private forests when purchased. Lastly, the public values of forests should be actively reflected when purchasing private forests. 국유림확대 장기계획(1996∼2020년)에 의해 산림청 소관 국유림은 1996년 140만㏊에서 2018년 164 만㏊로 24만㏊가 증가되었다. 그러나 사유림 매수가격 책정에 입목은 생략을 원칙으로 하고 있으며, 산림의 공익적 가치 또한 배제된 매수가격으로 국유림확대 정책을 추진하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 산림의 가치를 파악하기 위하여 2015∼2016년 정부에서 매수한 사유림의 임지와 입목 및 공익적 가치를 평가하였다. 그 결과 임지의 감정평가는 비교표준지 선정에 따른 거래사례지 선정과 개별요인⋅기타요인 결정에 입목가치 생략 등 감정평가사의 주관적인 결정이 많은 영향을 주고 있었다. 입목가치는 채취비나 산림 관련 업체이윤 등의 요인이 포함되지 않은 산지가격을 제시하고 있는 한국임업진흥원 고시가격이 사유림 매수 시에 입목가치의 평가기준으로 고려할 수 있으며, 산림의 공익적 가치가 사유림 매수 시, 적극반영될 수 있도록 논의가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

The degrees of inflammation and fibrosis were graded in 39 cases of odontogenic cysts. Cytoplasrnic expressions in various cell types according to them were analyzed using immunohistochemis띠, for MMPs and πMPs. In epithelial cells, MMP-2 expression was increased with marked fibrosis(p=O.018) and in stromal cells, MMP-2,-9 and TIMP-2 expressions were slightly higher in cases with mild inflammation and marked fibrosis. Tendencies of positive correlation were found between MMP-2,-9 and TIMP-2 expressions in epithelial cells and between MMP-l and MMP-9 expressions in stromal cells. These results suggest that MMP-l ,-2 ,-9 and TIMP-2 expression might be related to the expansion of odontogenic cysts, and the expression rate of them was different according to cell types and the degree of inflammation and fibrosis.

생약추출물과 난단백질을 함유한 비누의 항산화 및 항균효과

This study was carried out to evaluate the an tioxidative and antimicrobial activity of the soap con tain ing the medicinal plant extracts, Glycyrrhiza globra L .var glandulifera Regel et Zucc, Cinnamamum cassia Blume, Lycium chinense Miller, Schizandra chinenesis Baillon, Rehm annia glutinosa Liboch, Euphoria longana steud, Angelica polymorpha Max, Chrysanthermum morifolium Ram, Morus alba Linne, and also egg white proteins. Antioxidative activity of the soap on the peroxidation of egg yolk lecithin in aqueous system was increased with its concentration. The soap showed strong growth inhibitory and bactericidal effect against several m ajor pathogenic m icroorganisms on human skins. At the concentration of 0.04% the soap showed growth inhibitory effect against Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and at 0.1% against Staphylococcus aureus. The soap showed strong growth inhibitory and bactericidal effect on all 5 species of the microorganisms tested and the activity was increased with the concentration of soap. As the results, the medicinal plant extracts were thought to be proper natural antioxidative and antimicrobial sources for the ap plication of skin care soap added together with egg protein.

구강 편평세포암종에서 MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 , TIMP-2 발현과 EGFR과 E-cadherin 발현의 상호연관성

Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) are involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix, which is re lated to infiltrative growth and metastasis of tumor and are regulated by tisslle inhibitor of metalloproteinases(TIMPs) or cell adhesion molecllles such as E-cadherin and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between MMP-2, MMP-9 expressions and clinico-pathologic factors, 끼MP-1 , TIMP-2, EGFR and E-cadherin expressions. lmmunohistochemical stains were perfom1ed on 55 cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the ordl cavity and the results were as follows. MMP-2 and MMP-9 expressions were noted in 30(54.5%) and 22(40.0%) of 55 cases, TIMP-1 and πMP-2 in 21(38.2%) and 33(60.0%), and E-cadherin and EGFR expressions in 35(63.6%) and 26(47.3%) of 55 cases, respectively. MMP-2 expression rdte was slightly higher 띠 cases without recurrence, and 끼MP- 2 expression rate was slightly higher in cases showing more inftltrative growth pattem. 까1e expression rate of EGFR was higher in cases with well differentiation(p=0.OO47), but no posi디ve relationship between the expression rate of Ecadherin and histologic grade was found. Cases with positive reaction for MMP-9 showed an increasing tendency of nega디ve reaction for TIMP-1. π1e expression rate of MMP-2 was higher in cases with positive reaction for E-cadherin and EGFR with no statistical significance. 까1e expression rate of MMP-9 was significantly higher in cases with positive reaction for E-cadherin(p=0.022l). These results suggest that MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 expressions are involved in the development of oral squamous cell carcinomas, but MMP-2, MMP-9, 끼MP-1 , and 끼MP-2 expressions might not seem to be a useful prognostic factors because there were no significant relationship between clinicopathologic parameters. 추출조건에 따른 배암차즈기 추출물의 지방세포 분화 및 지방축적 억제 효과

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Salvia plebeia R. Br. ethanolic extract with different aspects (stem/leaf and whole plant) on differentiation and lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. The morphological changes and the degrees of lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells were measured by Oil Red O staining and intra-cellular triglyceride (TG) assay. The mRNA expressions of special peroxisome proliferation activated receptor- genes (PPAR), CCAAT/ enhancer-binding protein (C/EBPα), fatty acid synthase (FAS) and lipoprotein lipase (LPL) were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The 50% ethanolic extracts (100 μg/mL) of stem and leaf (SALE) and 30% ethanolic extracts (100 g/mL) of whole plant (SAE) from Salvia plebeia R. Br. were significantly attenuated lipid accumulation during adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells. Ethyl acetate-soluble fractions (50 μg/mL) significantly inhibited lipid droplet accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells. In addition, SALE induced down-regulation of specific adipogenic transcriptional factors (C/ EBPα and PPARγ) and target genes (FAS and LPL) during adipogenesis. Salvia plebeia R. Br. may be used as a safe and efficient natural substance to manage obesity.

꽃향유 추출물의 식중독균에 대한 항균 활성

The ethanol extracts of Elsholtzia splendens with different part was studied for the antimicrobial properties against six food-borne microorganisms by the agar diffusion method. The highest total phenolic and flavonoids content was observed in a root part as 72.83 mg GAE/g extract and 701.82 mg RE/g extract, respectively. Especially, the flower extracts (2 mg/dish) showed the strongest activity and the inhibition zones of root extracts against S. aureus and B. cereus were 14 mm and 17 mm, respectively. Therefore, the APV extracts could be suitable as antimicrobial agents in the food industry.
