Change of Stapedial Reflex Threshold according to the Depth of Intravenous Propofol Anesthesia
이진우,전경명,고의경,이일우,공수근,박성환 대한이비인후과학회 2010 대한이비인후과학회지 두경부외과학 Vol.53 No.8
Background and Objectives Stapedial reflex (SR) threshold is of considerable diagnostic significance in the evaluation of audiological function, especially under sedation or general anesthesia since anesthetic drugs often act on neurotransmitters or neuromodulators. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in the SR threshold according to the depth of anesthesia. Subjects and Method Sixty patients with normal hearing who were scheduled for operation under general anesthesia were included in this study. Anesthetic agent used was propofol and the depth of anesthesia was monitored by the bispectral index (BIS). SR was measured five times according to depth of anesthesia. Results Both ipsilateral and contralateral SR thresholds were increased according to the depth of anesthesia using propofol. In particular, ipsilateral SR showed no response at BIS 60 and contralateral SR at BIS 40. However, there were no significant differences between age groups and gender. Conclusion Propofol significantly increased both ipsilateral and contralateral SR threshold according to depth of anesthesia. When it is necessary to measure SR under general anesthesia,we should consider the effect on SR threshold according to the depth of anesthesia. Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2010;53:475-9
Russo-Japanese War: Social Factors and Implications of the Russo-Japanese People
이진우 한국세계지역학회 2019 世界地域硏究論叢 Vol.37 No.2
The main purpose of this article is to analyze how the war was recognized and socially accepted from the viewpoint of humanism and social factors, unlike the perspective of the political military perspectives. The Russia and Japan focused on major literary works of the their countries on different perspectives and positions after the outcome of the Russo-Japanese war (1904-1905) caused by Russia’s Dongjin policy on the Korean peninsula and Japan’s expansion of imperialism. They also analyzed how social and cultural factors, which were the basis of people’s consciousness and actions deployed in the site of conflict at the time, were affected by the policy-making process. During this period, anti-government activities were activated based on Russian people and intellectuals’ opposition to tyranny. The Bolshevik government and Stalin government maintained critical views of the Russo-Japanese War, but they were convinced that the Soviet Union had waited for the end of World War II and that they had defeated Japan in the statement. Stalin’s statement represents the long-standing hostility toward Japan among Russians who suffered severe damage to their self-esteem after the Russo-Japanese War.

The investigation was carried out to study the effect of wet heat setting and subsequent dry heat setting on the physical properties of regular acrylic fiber (Fw type) and conjugate acrylic fiber (Gw type). The physical properties of fiber such as tenacity, elongation, and dyeability are found to be affected in proportion to the increased degree of shrinkage at temperat ure below 13$0^{\circ}C$ by wet heat setting. Yellowing is observed at the same degree on the dry heat treated Fw and Gw type. But there is a significant difference in the degree of yellowing of two types of acrylic fibers setted by dry heat at the temperature above 18$0^{\circ}C$. The change is physical properties of Gw type is greater than of Fw type on alkaline solution treatment. The change of physical properties by boiling water treatment is more profound with Gw type than Fw type. The stress relaxation of Gw and Fw type is significantly affected by increasing the temperature of heat treatment.
