        독립형 태양광, 풍력, 소형발전기 복합시스템에서 안정적인 전력공급을 위한 컨트롤러에 관한 연구

        The object of this paper is the controller for supplying stably power in a separate house in which a hybrid electrical storage system with a stand-alone photovoltaic/wind power generation system and a small generator is applied. In the photovoltaic/wind hybrid power system used in the separate house, when only the battery is used in sunless days, the capacity of the battery is become larger. In particular, as in recent days, if cloudy days are frequent due to anomaly climate, it is difficult to estimate the number of sunless days. Accordingly, it is preferable to build the electrical storage system that numbers of sunshineless days are to be controlled and a shortage amount of the power generation capacity is to be handled by a small generator system. In order to supply stably power of new renewable energy such as solar to any separate houses, it is preferable to reduce the capacity of battery by decreasing the number of sunless days when estimating the capacity of battery and to drive the small generator for compensation of the power shortage. Such system needs components including inverters for photovoltaic and wind power generation system, batteries and controllers for automatically driving the small generator, based upon the nature of the stand-alone house, and it is preferable to use the controller having a simpler and higher stability by adopting the all-in-one scheme to facilitate its maintenance.

        비상용 디젤동기발전시스템기반 독립운전 하이브리드에너지시스템 모델 설정 및 시뮬레이션 분석에 관한 연구

        In this paper, enhanced stand-alone operation and development of Matlab/Simulink model of emergency diesel based hybrid energy system is presented. Simulations based on the remote community or islands were performed for PV-diesel-battery hybrid system. Modeling of PV-diesel-battery integrated system is done to perform under the solar radiation and load conditions on Matlab/Simulink platform. The models of diesel generator unit, battery energy storage system, PV and frequency-power control are developed and simulation studies have been carried out under various conditions using Matlab/Simulink and SimPowerSystem. It is demonstrated that the proposed system can provide reliable and good quality power to the customers in diesel synchronous generator-based hybrid energy systems.

      • Flexible System Architecture of Stand-Alone PV Power Generation With Energy Storage Device

        <P>A standalone photovoltaic (PV) system with energy storage requires a complex control architecture to take into account the various operating modes. In many cases, a supervisory controller is necessary to manage the change of the control architecture according to the applied mode. This paper presents a flexible architecture of a PV power conditioning system with energy storage. The proposed conditioning unit contains a boost converter (BC), a single-phase inverter, and a bidirectional dc/dc converter connected to the PV side of the BC. The BC regulates the dc-link bus-voltage. The bidirectional dc/dc converter endures battery bank charge/discharge control and PV maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Such architecture guarantees nonchange in controller configuration when the storage disconnects. Therefore, the previously needed supervisory controller is eliminated. A system control strategy based on sliding-mode control (SMC) ensures a reliable output voltage regulation such as fast dynamic response, small steady-state error, and low total harmonic distortion (THD) under step changes and nonlinear loads. The controller structure, the dynamic behavior, and the design procedures are introduced. Finally, the validity of the proposed module with control strategy is verified through hardware experiments on a 500-W prototype test bed with a single TMS320F28335 DSP module.</P>

        Recent global environmental pollution and contamination and depletion of limited fossil energy prices surge as an energy source to replace it depending on wind, fuel cells and solar power and other renewable and pollution free renewable energy is of interest in increase. The photovoltaic systems are pollution-free, unlimited energy source, and easy to install because it is rated as the most valuable renewable energy sector and the prevalence is spreading throughout the world. In this paper describes control characteristics analysis of a stand-alone PV System power controller has an energy storage system. Stand-alone solar power controller to control the input voltage output by the controller without the state fixed duty ratio limited by the limited duty ratio output states using the fixed to the stability of the system is analyzed. This method is used to control the power to change the output of limited duty ratio to check the status of the changes, and find the optimal value of operating reliably under any circumstances, is to design the controller. To determine the characteristics of this system was evaluated by simulation.

        Matlab/Stateflow based-Multiagent System Application for Energy Management of Microgrid with Stand-alone Operation

        Considering the environmental concerns, limitation of natural resources and power demand pressure, there is a great need to involve the distributed energy resource (DER) which can be operated as interconnected or as stand-alone mode from the main power grid. This paper proposes an application of Matlab/Stateflow-based MAS for energy management and control in a hybrid energy system including diesel generation system. An overall power management strategy is designed for the proposed system to manage power flows among different energy sources and the storage unit in the system. A simulation model for the hybrid energy system was developed using Matlab/Simulink and SimPowerSystems. The system performance under the different scenarios was verified by carrying out simulation studies using practical load demand profile and real weather data.

        This paper relates to a study on the economic of electrical storage device for supplying power in sunless days, in the stand alone PV/Wind hybrid system, which it is applied to separate houses. In a photovoltaic/wind hybrid power system used in a separate house, when only the battery is used in sunless days, the capacity of the battery is become larger. For example, as in recent days, if cloudy days are frequent due to anomaly climate, it is difficult to supply power stably by only the battery based upon pre-estimated sunless days.         The object of this paper is to optimize the battery system for supplying stably power in separate house in which a PV-wind hybrid power generation system is applied. In a power system to be used in a stand alone, it is very important to build optimize the electrical storage system and to utilize it for supplying stably output voltage when there is a shortage of the power generation capacity or there is no sunshine, or when power is to be supplied with a load. This paper provides an optimized method to evaluate capacity of battery by analyzing advantages and disadvantages of the existing battery evaluating method being used in each company for supplying stably power in separate house utilizing the new renewable energy such as a light of the sun.

        인프라 독립형 가변안내표지판의 효율적 전력 운영 방안 연구

        지능형교통정보시스템(ITS) 정책의 일환으로 가변안내표지판의 보급이 확대되었음에도 불구하고 여러 가지 문제점들이 나타나게 되었으며 그 중 하나가 지역별 교통 정보 제공의 불평등 및 비효율성 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 전력선 및 통신선 구축이 어려운 인프라 취약 지역에서도 도로상황 및 기상상태 등의 교통정보 제공을 위해 인프라 독립형 가변안내표지판을 제안하였다. 인프라 독립형 가변안내표지판은 인프라 취약지역에서 운영되므로 그 특성상 시스템 구성, 운영 방안 등에서 일반형 가변안내표지판과는 차별성을 가지므로 그 특성을 분석하여 나타내었다. 또한 태양광 발전으로 획득된 한정된 전력을 효율적으로 운영하기 위하여 이를 고려한 배터리 체결구조와 가변안내표지판의 표출 메시지에 따른 전력 운용 방안을 제안하였다. 향후 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 인프라 독립형 가변안내표지판뿐만 아니라 병렬 구조의 배터리가 사용되는 다양한 용도의 어플리케이션의 전력 제어에 적용 가능할 것으로 예상된다. Although the demand of Variable Message Sign(VMS) has become pervasive in fulfilling the ITS policy, there are still several unsolved problematic issues. The most critical ones of them are inequality and inefficiency of providing traffic information. This paper proposes the Infra-free Variable Message Sign in order to provide useful informations such as road condition, weather, and traffic of the area, where constructing the infrastructure of communication and power supply is relatively very hard. First of all, the characteristics of infra-free Variable Message Sign are studied and analyzed in deep because of differences between normal Variable Message Sign and Infra-free Variable Message Sign in the configuration and the operating method due to the nature of the Infra-free Variable Message Sign. Futhermore, for effective power management of operating Infra-free Variable Message Sign with limited power acquired through stand-alone PV system, new battery connection structure and dynamically variable power managements for the differently shown messages on Variable Message Sign are proposed. The proposed structure in this paper can be applied to not only power management for Infra-free Variable Message Sign but also power management for the various applications using parallel connection battery system.
