        KTCS-2 적용을 위한 STM 레벨 전환 절차 연구

        The Korean Train Control System(KTCS)-2, which corresponds to European Train Control System(ETCS) Level 2, has been developed and is being piloted on the Jeolla Line. For KTCS-2 to be commercialized nationwide, a method is needed to convert the level when driving, entering, and exiting the section of the Automatic Train Control(ATC) System and Automatic Train Stop(ATS), an existing domestic train control system. The existing level conversion method of Specific Transmission Module(STM) is difficult to apply to KTCS-2 because the European and domestic train control systems are different, so it is necessary to study STM level transition method suitable for KTCS-2. This paper explains the derivation of a level transition method using ATS/ATC STM for connection operation with ATS in the general railway section and an ATC for the high-speed railway section, existing train control systems in Korea, when commercializing KTCS-2.

        KTCS 기능개선을 위한 ERTMS/ETCS Baseline 3 상호호환성 분석

        유럽철도교통관리시스템(ERTMS, European Railway Traffic Management System ) 개발은 1989년 유럽의 단일화된 상호호환성을 갖춘 철도노선 구축을 위해 유럽연합 정책의 일환으로 시작되었으며, 철도신호시스템은 유럽의 ERTMS/ETCS(European Train Control System)가 국제적으로 표준화가 되어 가고 있는 추세이다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 국내 열차제어 분야도 상호호환성을 고려한 열차제어시스템의 기술개발이 보다 더 필요한 시점이다. 유럽철도국(ERA, European Railway Agency)에서는 2020.12.31 이후 신규 ETCS 장착열차에 대해서 B3R2(Baseline 3 Release 2)를 제시하고 있으며 우리나라는 경부선, 호남선, 전라선, 경춘선에서 Baseline 2.2.0부터 2.3.0까지 설치되어 운영 중이다. 계속되는 Baseline의 upgrade에 따라 기술적인 검토사항과 경제적인 고려사항이 발생하고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 배포된 최신의 유럽 표준 ERTMS/ETCS Baseline 3에 대한 주요기능 및 상호호환성을 분석하고, 향후 국내 KTCS(Korean Train Control System)의 Baseline 적용방안을 제시하고자 한다. The development of the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) began in 1989 as part of the European Union policy to establish a unified and interoperable railway route in Europe. It is a trend that ERTMS/ETCS(European Train Control System) is becoming an international standard in the railway signaling system. As the solution to this situation, the domestic railway signaling field is also at a time when it is more necessary to develop the technology of the train control system considering interoperability. The European Railway Agency (ERA) has proposed B3R2 (Baseline 3 Release 2) for new ETCS-equipped trains after 2020.12.31. In Korea, Baseline 2.2.0 to 2.3.0d on Gyeongbu Line, Honam Line, Jeolla Line, and Gyeongchun Line was installed and now is under operating. As the Baseline upgrade continues, technical considerations and economic considerations are an occurring trend. In this paper, we analyzed the main functions and compatibility of the currently distributed European standard ERTMS/ETCS Baseline 3 and presented a plan to apply the domestic KTCS(Korean Train Control System) Baseline in the near future.

        고속철도의 한국형 열차제어시스템 개량에 대한 위험도평가 연구

        The Korean train control system (KTCS-2), developed as a national R&D project, satisfies international standards for reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety in the railway field, and is compatible with the standardized European train control system (ETCS). Evaluation by domestic and foreign conformity assessment (ISA) bodies has been completed. In addition, the Korean-style train control system, which has been verified in function, reliability, and safety by carrying out a pilot project on the Jeolla Line, has become an alternative to aging high-speed train control systems introduced with foreign technology. The European Union Railroad Safety Act mandates quantitative management of safety by applying Common Safety Technique (CSM) risk assessment (RA) when constructing or improving a system closely related to railroad safety, such as a train control system. In this paper, safety due to improvement is evaluated by quantitatively evaluating the risk of the existing high-speed rail train control system and KTCS-2.

        STM(특정전송모듈)장치 시험설비 설계 및 무결성 검증방안 제안

        In accordance with the recent expansion of the national railway network, institutionalization was established to facilitate interconnected operation of the rolling stock between lines so that compatibility and safety of different train control systems for each line can be secured. Accordingly, compliance with the technical specifications cited in the 「Technical Standards for Railroad Facilities for Connected Railroad Lines」 was mandated to be verified through a conformity assessment by an authorized testing agency, and has been enforced since last year. The specific transmission module (STM) is an onboard component that allows the Korean train control system, KTCS-2, to take charge of the train protection function even on routes where trackside devices are not installed. As these STMs also require accredited test evaluation, in preparation for this, we propose in this paper a method for constructing STM test facilities. In addition, as a self-validation method for the trackside signal generation module of the STM test facility to be built, a method for verifying the integrity of the STM trackside signal is proposed and detailed design results are presented.

        이동권한 설계에 따른 속도향상 방안 연구

        유럽에서는 이미 ERTMS/ETCS Level 1, 2 시스템이 실용화 되어 운용되고 있으며 Level 3는 지속적으로연구 및 시험이 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 반면 국내에서는 ERTMS/ETCS Level 1 시스템을 도입하여 실제 노선에서운용중에 있으며 Level 2는 실용화 연구가 종료 되었고, Level 3는 연구가 진행되고 있다. ERTMS/ETCS Level 2,3시스템은 지상장치와 차상장치간 무선통신을 이용한 메시지(데이터) 송·수신이 안전과 직결된 핵심 사항이다. 본 논문에서는 지상장치와 차상장치간 인터페이스 중 이동권한을 담당하는 Movement Authority Message의 설계 방안을 제시하여 특정 구간에서의 불필요한 감속을 해결함으로써 열차가 일정한 속도로 운행이 가능하고 열차운행의 최고속도향상과 역간 운행 시분의 단축을 기대할 수 있다.

      • 대학생들의 수면 형태와 수면에 대한 인식

        Purpose. The purpose of this study was conducted to identify college students' sleep type and awareness of sleep. Methods. We researched 250 students in a college using the Korean Translation of Composite Scale(KtCS) and awareness of sleep questionnaire. Results. The sleeping hour of college students was 395.28 minute in average. The research showed that the biggest reason for the lack of sleep is using the computer, mobile and watching TV(22.6%), and most of them said that the lack of sleep is causing drowsiness during the daytime( 29.2%). For the questions asking when they feel drowsy during the daytime, most of them forcing themselves to stay awake(29.2%) and they caught up on sleep on the weekend(32.5%). Conclusions. Therefore college students to keep relevant sleep time and to know about the importance of the sleep.

        유럽과 중국은 서로 다른 신호시스템의 상호운영과 안전관리를 위하여 20여년 전부터 표준열차제어시스템에 대한 연구를 진행하여 왔다. 유럽은 현재 표준화를 완성하여 응용단계에 처해 있으며 중국도 10년전부터 연구하여 표준화 레벨을 규제하고 있다. 국내는 현재 역사적인 원인으로 여러 나라의 서로 다른 신호시스템 체계가 형성되어 상호운영 및 통일화된 관리가 아주 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 국외 신호시스템 레벨과 체계에 대해 소개하고 국내 철도신호시스템의 표준화 레벨 설정에 대하여 정의한다. For interoperability and safety management of the different signaling system, Europe and China have been studied about standard train control system. Currently, Europe has been working on stage of application after finishing standardization and China has been regulated the standardization level for a decade. In Korea, different signaling systems of several countries were made on account of historical reason resisting interoperability and unified management. So in this paper, we introduce the signaling system configuration and define the standard level establishment of railway signaling in Korea.

        Train Integrity Monitoring System for Freight Trains

        Modern railway operating systems require ETCS L3 technology. The core technology of the ETCS L3 system is train integrity monitoring, which continuously provides the current location and states of running trains without full dependency on track-side equipment. ETCS L3-based train integrity monitoring methods for passenger trains based on fixed train formations already exist in present systems. However, freight trains lack a feasible solution because they do not provide electrical power supply to other vehicles except the front-end vehicle and operate under non-fixed train formations. In this paper, we present user requirements, system structure, and system implementation to realize the train integrity monitoring system for freight trains based on ETCS L3. We also propose an algorithm for detecting vehicle separation in freight trains. Additionally, performance analyses were conducted by installing the freight train integrity monitoring system on an actual freight train. As a result of these analyses, we confirmed that the proposed system could be applied as a train integrity monitoring solution for freight trains.
