        정책적 지원을 통한 뉴스포츠 개발 활성화

        More and more efforts have been invested in developing and making sport activities safer and easier to enjoy. Several developed countries like Japan have invented a lot of different kinds of new sports. But, so far, Korea has not put her efforts in inventing new sports nor noticed the importance and values of inventing new sports. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to suggest some political support for Inventing some new sports in Korea. This study found the necessity of new sports fit for Korea, the value of the new sports, and the political tasks for inventing new sports fit for an educational environment of Korea. The necessity of inventing new sport in Korea was as the followings: First, it is necessary to seek substantiality for the regular PE classes; Second, it is necessary for female students’ more participation into physical activity; Third, necessity of new sports for lifetime sports; Finally, the necessity of new sport fit for Korea’s school environment. Besides, the inventing of new sport has following values: educational, socio-cultural and sport contents, and sport industrial and economical. On the conclusion, the political tasks for Inventing new sports fit for an educational environment of Korea were as follows: First, the policy of drawing creative ideas for inventing new sports from the field experts are needed; Second, the policy of support system for developing and testing new product for the new sports requiring; Third, changes of policy for the school curriculum courses adopting current situation are needed; Finally, the policy tasks should be related with national policy of sport industry.

      • The Supporting Policy for Transforming K-New sports into Hallyu (Korean wave) Sports

        Purpose: Korea culture is becoming hot issue in international society. People in many countries around world are starting to pay attention to this new Korean culture wave through their various media, such as their mp3 player, dvd player and their television. The purpose of this study was to discuss future policy for supporting to transform K-New sports into Hallyu(Korean Wave) new sports to keep foreigners`` attention to Korea and Korean products as K-Pop and K-Dramas. Result: First, it is necessary to form partnerships between inventors of K-New Sports, and experts in various relevant organizations. Second, it is necessary to form partnerships between organizations of K-New Sports and relavant major sports organizations which use similar skills for playing the sports. such as between Fhun-E Ball and Korea Volleyball Federation, between HanGung and Korean tradional Guk-gung organization, and between Julbatorun and the Korea Athletics Federation , and so on. Third, it is necessary to form comprehensive cooperation for product development and marketing strategies between inventors or organizations of K-New Sports and sports product enterprises. Fourth, it is necessary to develop cooperation with other cultural contents and produce common products, such as animation or mobile games. Finally, awareness of Korea central and reginal governments for the value of K-New sports should be changed and support the strategies for distributing K-New sports into to the world. Korea Ministry of Education, the Education Office, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, etc. Conclusion: Such partnerships and supporting policy will seek to establish a solid supporting system that facilitates the promotion of K-New Sports and should be effectively progressed by establishing an effective relationship between national enterprises and uniformly implementing a solid strategy across the nation.

        K-NEW 스포츠를 한류 스포츠로 발전시키기 위한 지원 정책

        초등학생의 뉴스포츠 활동 경험과 인식

        이 연구의 목적은 초등학교에서 뉴스포츠를 경험한 학생들의 인식을 통해 뉴스포츠에 대한 이해와 실태를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 16개시도 43개교의 5, 6학년 학생 897명을 연구 참여자로 하여 개방형 질문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 연구 참여자 중 3명의 학생과는 심층면담도 병행하였다. 수집한 자료는 사례기록과 귀납적 내용 분석을 하였으며 동료간 협의와 구성원 간 검토를 통해 진실성을 확보하고자 하였다. 초등학생의 뉴스포츠에 대한 인식은 셋으로 구분하여 확인하였는데 첫째, 뉴스포츠 의미에 대한 인식은 ‘새로운 스포츠, 특정 스포츠, 변형한 스포츠, 잘 모르는 스포츠’로 범주화 되었다. 둘째, 뉴스포츠 활동에 대한 긍정적인 인식은 ‘즐거워서, 새로워서, 이로워서, 쉬워서’로 범주화 되었다. 셋째, 뉴스포츠 활동에 대한 부정적인 인식은 ‘자체문제, 학생문제, 운영문제, 안전문제’ 로 범주화되었다. 연구 결과를 통해 교사들의 뉴스포츠에 대한 적극적인 인식과 실천이 좀 더 요구되며, 학습과제와 학생들의 수준을 고려한 뉴스포츠 활동 프로그램의 구안과 적용이 필요하다는 시사점을 얻게 되었다. The purpose of this study was to examine students understanding and status of new sports through the perception of students who have experienced new sports in elementary school. In order to fulfill this, 897 students from 5th and 6th grades in 43 schools in 16 cities participated in the study and data were collected through the open form questionnaire. In-depth interviews with 3 students were also conducted. The collected data were analyzed through case records and inductive content analysis, and the study aimed to secure the truth through consultations with peers and reviews between members. The perception of elementary school students concerning new sports was divided into three sets. First, the perception about the meaning of new sports was categorized into “new sports, specific sports, transformed sports, and unknown sports”. Second, the positive perception of new sports activities was categorized into “being fun, new, beneficial, and easy.” Third, the negative perceptions about new sports activities were categorized into “self problems, student problems, operational problems, and safety issues”. The findings of the study resulted in the implications that the teachers’ active perception and practice of new sports should be further demanded and that the development and application of the new sports activities program, which considers the learning task and students level, is necessary.

        초등 체육교육에서의 뉴스포츠 운영 사례 연구

        The purpose of this study is to share the results of an analysis on the state of new sports newly implemented in elementary school physical education. Four elementary teachers who adopted new sports in their teaching were selected as participants in this study. The interview data, class observations, and documents that were gathered were then analyzed. During the planning stage of this study, the four participants, who were found to have understood the newly edited 2007 version of national curriculum, examined their students' aptitude for new sports and acquired authorization to adapt new sports into their instruction from their supervisors. During the implementation and observation stage, the participants adopted new sports instruction during morning activities and after class. They found that the number of students who participated in new sports increased quickly due new sports' positive impression amongst students as well as colleagues. Participants took up various courses of training and study in order to stimulate the adoption of new sports. They also actively worked with the mangers and supervisors on the committee to create better conditions for the study of new sports. The study results revealed the educational value of new sports, which as easy and fun forms of exercise draw the active participation of many students. Further consideration of elementary school teachers' positive impression of new sports are strongly encouraged before the implementation of the newly edited version of national curriculum in 2007.

        민속놀이의 뉴스포츠적 발전 방안

        The purpose of this study is to examine the present state of oral tradition of our folk plays and to suggest a direction to develop them into new sports. To accomplish the goal, children`s play and adults` play were analyzed and investigated with a data collected from documents and locale investigation as its basis. The results gained by this study is as follows; First, person who possess the knowledge of the new sports has to be invited to special education institutions especially physical education and sports related universities and training centers to train and cultivate trainees to become sports leaders. This method will not only change the existing perception on the new sports but also elevate the social status of those possessors making them to take pride in what they do. Secondly, recording and scientific approach on the new sports have to be done in the regular curriculum of each school. Also, in order to have satisfactory recording and scientific approach on sport events registered as the new sports, sufficient infrastructure has to be established in prior to the activity. Third, space where practical education of the new sports could be performed should be placed within training institutes. From there, various training programs should be developed, examining the establishment of new sports instruction centers. These instruction centers should be open to the public in weekends so that the public could experience various new sports. Fourth, technology development that enables creative inheritance and development of the new sports should be supported and through this modernization of the new sports should be contrived at the same time. Fifth, through national administrative capability, a distribution network has to be established to popularize the works and goods produced by the possessors. It requires a system to make large enterprises or the Korean Amateur Sports Association, Korea Council of Sport for All, and other related institutions to actively support their activities. Also the participation of mass media is required to help the public well understand about the activity.

        신좌파 스포츠 이론에 대한 비판적 고찰

        A diverse group of social critics and social studies scholars have analyzed sports from the new leftist perspective. Despite their differences, these critics and scholars view sports as the product of general or particular type of labor; for them, sports remain an ideological means to allure people into the sustenance of bourgeois rule. They also argue that sports facilitate socialization by providing standardized norms of behavior and producing modern subjectivity. New left theorists note that sports are dominated by instrumental reason, and suggest that sports be recreated as non-labor related freedom. In examining new left theories of sports, this paper hopes to enlarge the field of cultural studies of sports. This paper begins with an introduction of the major work and main arguments of new left theorists. Then, my paper borrows from Marx’s critical comment on the concept of labor in order to tackle the new left theory of sports in which labor and sports are one and the same. This paper concludes with a reconsideration of the fruitful ways that new left criticism of bourgeois sports can be used for a better understanding of today’s sports, which is dominated by the capitalist logic of cultural industry and the pursuit of interest. 다양한 범주의 사회 비평가들과 학자들이 스포츠를 신좌파적 관점에서 분석해 왔다. 그들은 스포츠를 일반적인 혹은 특정한 노동의 파생물이라고 주장하며 스포츠는 부르주아적 지배를 유지하도록 대중을 현혹하는 이데올로기적인 수단으로 보았다. 그들에게 스포츠는 사회화의 기제로서, 대중들에게 표준화된 행동규범을 제공함으로써 근대적 주체를 만들어낸다고 주장한다. 신좌파 이론가들은 스포츠는 도구적 이성에 지배를 받고 있으며 비노동적 자유로 재창조될 필요가 있다고 한다. 본 논문은 신좌파 이론가들에게서 제기된 스포츠이론의 타당성 여부를 해명하고자 하는 하나의 시도로서 스포츠문화 연구에 대한 하나의 이론적 근거를 마련하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 대표적인 신좌파 이론가들의 저작들을 분석함으로써 신좌파 스포츠이론의 주요 주장에 대하여 고찰하였다. 다음으로, 노동과 스포츠를 동일시했던 신좌파 사상가들의 스포츠이론을 맑스의 노동의 개념에 대한 비판적 언급 속에서 재검토하고 그들의 스포츠이론에 반론을 제기하였다. 끝으로, 문화산업으로서 이윤추구라는 자본의 논리가 지배하는 오늘날의 스포츠 현실에서 자본주의하의 부르주아 스포츠를 비판했던 신좌파 스포츠이론이 시사하는 바와 스포츠문화 연구를 위한 이론적 유용성을 탐색하였다.

        인문,사회과학편 : 한국의 뉴스포츠 도입과 전개 과정 연구

        본 연구는 한국에서 뉴스포츠가 어떻게 보급되기 시작하였고, 어떠한 과정으로 전개되어 정착하였는지를 사회학적 관점에서 고찰하였다. 1997년 일본티볼협회가 추진한 국제교류 차원에서 한국에 티볼세트가 전해지면서 티볼(Teeball)이 본격적으로 전개되었다. 1998년 한국티볼협회를 설립하는데 서상옥을 비롯한 일본 유학파들의 공헌이 컸다. 뉴스포츠는 생활체육과 학교체육이라는 두 분야로 나뉘어 보급, 전개되었다. 2000년대 들어와 우리 사회에 뉴스포츠가 빠르게 정착한 것은 후기산업사회에 교육의 주체인 학생과 교사, 생활체육 주체인 일반인의 요구에 부응하는 차원에서 적극 전개되었다. 이러한 현상은 이전의 국가주도의 교육과정에서는 볼 수 없는 새로운 흐름이었다. 1990년대 후반부터 남녀공학에서 혼성학급이 자리 잡으면서 체육교사들은 효율적인 수업에 대해 고민하고 있을 때 뉴스포츠가 전파되면서 남성중심, 경쟁중심, 수행중심, 규칙중심이라는 근대적 체육교육에서 탈피하여 혼성수업을 원만하게 운영할 수 있는 적극적 대안 스포츠로 받아들여졌다. 이후 교육부에서 뉴스포츠를 정식 교육과정으로 인정하는 성과를 보였다. 또한 생활체육 차원에서 국민생활체육회는 국민들의 생활체육 참여를 늘리기 위한 대안으로 뉴스포츠를 적극 지원한 정책적 전개도 이 스포츠가 빠르게 정착하는 데 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있다. The study examined how the new sports have been distributed, expanded, and settled in Korea from the social historical viewpoint. In 1997, the Teeball was introduction Korea through international exchange promoted by the Japan Teaball Association. The Korean students who were studying in Japan at the time, including Sang-Ok Seo, largely contributed in establishing the Korea Teeball Association in 1998. This new sports started to be introduced and distributed according to the two categories of sports for all and physical education. The reason for the new sports being rapidly settled in Korea since 2000 is to meet the needs of the students and teachers, who were the educational center of the post-industrial society, and the demand from the general public who practice leisure sports. This is completely a new trend which could not have been found in the education process led by the government. Since late 1990s, when the co-ed schools started to become fully implemented, the new sports have been propagated as school coaches were concerned about conducting effective classes in physical education. This was accepted as active sports that could be participated by both genders, outside of the old-fashioned perceptions oriented by male-centered, economic, performance-based, and rule-based concepts. This phenomenon led the Department of Education to officially designate this sport as a part of physical education curriculum. In addition, as a way to promote leisure activities of the public, the Council of Sport for All of Korea provided with supportive policies, which also assisted in the rapid introduction of this sports.

        뉴스포츠 활동이 지역아동센터 아동의 적응유연성, 또래관계, 사회적 유능성의 효과

        본 연구는 지역아동센터 아동을 위한 뉴스포츠 활동의 효과를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 뉴스포츠(new sports)는 올림픽 등 국제 경기에서 공식적으로 채택하지 않은 종목으로 대중적인 스포츠 종목을 결합하거나 변형해 만든 새로운 스포츠다. 본 연구는 전남 B 지역아동센터 20명의 아동을 대상으로 2021년 4월부터 9월까지 총 30회기 실시하였으며, 뉴스포츠 활동이 적응유연성, 또래관계, 사회적 유능성의 효과를 알아보기 위해 SPSS Win 20.0을 이용하였다. 연구 결과, 지역아동센터 아동을 위한 뉴스포츠 활동이 실험집단 아동의 적응유연성, 또래관계, 사회적유능성에서 사전ㆍ사후 점수가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 뉴스포츠 활동의 긍정적 경험은 어떠한 상황과 환경에서 유연하게 대처해 나갈 수 있는 내면의 잠재력을 발휘하여 자기실현적인 삶을 살도록 도울 수 있다. 이에 뉴스포츠 활동의 지속적 개발과 현장에서 지도를 통해 아동들의 정서 행동적 측면에서 보다 활성화되고 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있다. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of new sports activities for children in local children's centers. New sports are sports that are not officially adopted in international competitions such as the Olympics, and are new sports created by combining or transforming popular sports. This study was conducted 30 times from April to September 2021 targeting 20 children at Jeonnam B regional children's center. was used. As a result of the study, it was found that the pre- and post-scores of the new sports activities for children at the local children's center were significant in the adjustment flexibility, peer relationship, and social competence of the experimental group children. The positive experience of new sports activities can help you to live a self-fulfilling life by showing your inner potential to flexibly cope with any situation and environment. Therefore, through continuous development of new sports activities and on-site guidance, more active and positive effects can be expected in the emotional and behavioral aspects of children.

        뉴스포츠에 대한 남녀학생의 인식차이 탐색

        본 연구의 목적은 뉴스포츠의 적용을 통해 학생들의 인식 정도를 심층적으로 이해하고 탐색하여 뉴스포츠의 적용이 현실화되고 활성화되는 데 정보를 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 최근 학교현장에 많이 적용되고 있는 4개의종목 (플로어볼, 대나무춤, 스내그 골프, 킨볼) 을 적용하였으며, 연구 참여자는 경남 소재의 S중학교 2학년 남녀 각4명 (운동실천능력 상위자 남녀 각 2명, 운동실천능력 하위자 남녀 각 2명) 을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 참여관찰과 심층면담, 체육일기를 통해 이루어졌으며, 자료의 분석은 사례분석과 귀납적 분석을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 뉴스포츠의 적용에 따라 남녀, 운동실천능력에 따라 인식의 차이를 보였다. 첫째, 운동실천능력이 낮은 남녀학생의 경우는 뉴스포츠를 단순하고 평등한 스포츠로 인식하면서 체육수업에 적극적인 참여 자세를 보여 ‘체육의 반란’으로 범주화하였다. 둘째, 운동실천능력이 높은 남녀학생은 서로 다른 양상을 나타냈다. 운동실천능력이 높은 여학생은 자신의 실력향상이나 과시보다는 동료 여학생과 함께하는 자체에 만족하고 즐거워하는 모습을 보여 ‘체육의중도주의자’로 범주화 하였다. 운동실천능력이 높은 남학생은 뉴스포츠 초기의 흥미와 관심은 시간이 지남에 따라 지속성이 약하게 나타나 ‘체육의 보수주의자’로 범주화하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 시사하는 바를 두 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 뉴스포츠의 특징을 살릴 수 있는 다양한 수업방법과의 연계이며, 둘째, 뉴스포츠가 생활스포츠로의 연계가 보장되어야 학교체육에서 더욱 더 활성화될 것으로보인다. The aim of this study is to provide supporting information to further conceive and promote the concept of ‘New Sports’, a range of new sport activity innovations, through a deeper understanding of the initiative through the eyes of students. In this regard, the authors applied four sport innovations (Floorball, Bamboo Dance, SNAG golf, and Kin-ball) which are increasingly being incorporated in Korean schools. The co-ed framework included four male and female students (two male and female students of higher aptitude and two of lower aptitude) in S middle school in Gyeongnam Province. The data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and physical education diaries; it was analyzed through case and inductive analysis. The results are as follows. There was a difference in viewpoint depending on the application of differing New Sports concepts, gender, and physical aptitude. First, the male and female students with a low physical aptitude felt indifferent and perceived the New Sports concepts as being simple and equivalent to the current activities that they experience in gym class; these students were categorized as having a ‘liberal view of physical education'. The male and female students with a high physical aptitude, however, showed some differences. The female students with a high physical aptitude were satisfied with their interaction with other female students; they were categorized as having a ‘moderate view of physical education’. The male students with a high physical aptitude indicated that their interest levels and attention spans in the New Sports began to wane over time; they were categorized as having a ‘conservative view of physical education’. Based on these results, the authors have two suggestions. First, New Sports need to be integrated with various teaching methods to emphasize the value and features of their concepts; and second, New Sports need to become further recognized as life-enhancing sports and be better promoted in physical education at schools.
