The core-shell composite latexed were synthesis by stage emulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA), butyl methacrylate(BA) and styrene (St) with ammonium persulfate after preparing monomer pre-emulsion in the presence of anionic surfactant. However, in preparation of core-shell composite latex, several unexpected results are observed, such as, particle coagulation, low degree of polymerization, and formation of new particles during shell polymerization. To solve the disadvantages, we study the effect of initiator concentrations, surfactant concentrations, and reaction temperature on the core-shell structure of polymethyl methacrylate / poly-styrene and polystyrene/polymethyl methacrylate. Particle size and particle size distribution were measured using particle size analyzer, and the morphology of the core-shell composite latex was determined using transmission electron microscope. Glass temperature was also measured using differential scanning calorimeter. To identify the core-shell structure, pH of the two composite latex solutions were measured.

In this paper, brazing joining experiments for Al_(2)O_(3) - SUS304 were performed using the surface modification technique with IBAD(ion-beam assisted deposition)of active material and conventional Ag-Cu eutectic alloy filler metal. Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic surfaces were modified with ion beam bombardment prior to deposition and IBAD for reactive Ti coating to provide the required wetting capability of the filler metal on the ceramic surfaces and to reduce the thermal mismatch problem by forming the graded interlayer structure. The effects of reaction products on the rupture strength of the brazement on the process parameters such as brazing temperature, brazing time and the surface modification effects were tested based on the microstructure of the interlayer. The interfaces of these specimens were analyzed by the analytical devices such as atomic force microscope(AFM), energy dispersive analysis by X-Ray(EDAX), scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-Ray.

The rail clamp is the device to prevent that a container crane slips along rails due to the wind blast as well as to locate the crane in the set position through loading and unloading containers on a vessel in the quay. In order to design the rail clamp, we need to determine the proper wedge angle to minimize the sliding distance of a roller and the proper clamping angle of a locker to generate the initial clamping force of a jaw pad. The researches for the proper wedge angle have conducted. So in this study we look into the relationship between the clamping angle of a locker and the initial clamping force in the rail clamp with wedge angle of 10°. The initial clamping force of the jaw pad was determined by the clamping angle of the locker. Therefore after we measured the locking force of a locker and the tensile of extension bar with respect to the clamping angle of a locker, such as 2.18, 3.05, 3.92, 4.80°, we compared the results with the FEA results.

End-milling has become widely used in industrial systems because it has proved effective in the manufacture of materials with various shapes. End-milling processing, using a high-precision technique and producing good surface roughness in rapid time, is required in the manufacture ofprecision machine and electronic parts. Surface roughness is affected by the conditions of end-milling, suchas cutting direction, spindle speed, feed rate and cut depth. Therefore, this study was carried out to presume for mutual relations of end-milling conditions to achieve the optimum surface roughness by regression analysis. The results showed that the coefficient of determine (R2) of the regression equation has a high reliability, 85.1%, and the regression equation of surface roughness is made by regression analysis.

A possible approach to calculate and determine a cycle time for unstable facility based steelmaking process. Necessary analysis are done by measuring and analysing the process in detail to calculate standard time and process improvements. Between 4 and 8% of productivity improvements are expected to make based upon the collected manufacturing data.
Silver Metal Ink에 의해 형성된 Silver Film의 열처리에 따른 비저항 특성

Recently, the technology to make an electric circuit using silver metal ink has attracted much interests since it is simple, environmentally-friend and economical process compared to conventional one. Since silver metal ink consists of numerous nano-sized silver particles, it can be melted at lower temperature than melting temperature of bulk silver due to nano-sized effects, leading to formation of good conductivity film. In this paper, electrical properties of silver film formed by metal ink is correlated with sintering behavior of silver particles with temperature of heat- treatment, and optimum conditions for heat- treatment was suggested.

The current research was performed to manufacture a pure silver colloid consisting of nanosized silver metal and solvent. At present study, a new method for manufacturing high purity silver colloid was proposed and this method can extent to a manufacture of nanosized noble metal. This method can be a useful tool for manufacturing high purity noble metal particles

Femur fracture is commonly caused by external impact. Generally. fracture care is made by surgical operation. When we care fractured bone. there are several surgical operation methods. Because of several reasons. recently, intramedullary nail is widely used for femur fracture. Intramedullary nail usage generates mechanical stress that forms callus on fracture area. Callus is made about 4 weeks later then fracture. Young's modulus and yield stress increase with time. After intramedullary nailing, femur must be endured usual bodyweight load like walking and stair climbing. But, it isn't possible to load total body weight as soon as operation. In case of bodyweight load at work in the femur compares to the strength with time on fracture symphysis area. It might be possible to walk normally and take the stairs after 8weeks.

Valves have been widely used in today's industry to control the fluid flow. Fluid flow efficiency is quite sensitive to the inner structure of valve. Therefore, a structural optimization is required to minimize flux loss. Field analysis method from CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is used to structure analysis in this study. The stability of valve is evaluated using FEM (Finite Element Method) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). Also shape optimization is accomplished using the orthogonal arrangement and characteristic function. Experimental result shows good coincidence to numerical analysis results.
