This article addressed the problem of delay-dependent stability criteria for linear time system with interval time-delay. Firstly, we proposed a new inequality based on the Fourier Theory, more precisely on theWirtingers inequalities, which is proved to encompass the Jensens inequality. Secondly, a less conservative stability condition is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities by employing delay-partition idea and Lyapunov functional method. Finally, in order to illustrate the potential gain of employing this new inequality with respect to the Jensens one and the effectiveness of the proposed results,an application to time-delay analysis is provided.

Manganese(III) 5-(4-carboxyphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenyl porphyrin chloride (Mn(TCPP)Cl) was grafted through amide bond on silica zeolite Y (HY), zeolite beta ($H{\beta}$) and hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS). XRD, ICP-AES, $N_2$ physisorption, SEM, TEM, FTIR and thermal analysis were employed to analyse these novel heterogeneous materials. These silica supported catalysts were shown to be used for epoxidation and good shape selectivity was observed. The effect of support structure on catalytic performance was also discussed. The catalytic activity remained when the catalysts were recycled five times. The energy changes about epoxidation of alkenes by $NaIO_4$ and $H_2O_2$ were also computationally calculated to explain the different catalytic efficiency.
Hydrochlorination of acetylene to vinyl chloride monomer over bimetallic Au–La/SAC catalysts

Gold and gold-based bimetallic catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination were prepared with HAuCl44H2O and LaCl37H2O as precursors and analyzed by the characterization methods of BET,XRD, SEM, TG and ICP-AES. The results indicate that pitch-based spherical activated carbon SAC is the optimal carrier; Au/C catalyst deactivates easily for coke deposition and the valence change of Au in the reaction, the addition of lanthanum to gold can weaken the occurrence of coke deposition and inhibit the valence change of gold to improve the stability of the catalyst; Under the reaction conditions of temperature 423 K, C2H2 hourly space velocity (GHSV) 360 h1, feed volume ratio V (HCl)/V (C2H2) = 1.15and Au loading of 1 wt%, the optimal atomic ratio of Au, La (a/a) was 1:3, the conversion of acetylene was up to 98% and the selectivity to VCM was more than 99.8%.
Rational design of porous NiCo2S4 nanotubes for hybrid supercapacitor

The nanotube-consisted flower-like NiCo2S4 is successfully fabricated by a novel two-step hydrothermal technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) identifies the spinel structure, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) imply the flower-like morphology of the synthesized NiCo2S4. The electrochemical behaviors are studied by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge measurements. The NiCo2S4 nanotubes demonstrate enhanced pseudocapacitive performance of 429.5 C g− 1 at current density of 0.5 A g− 1 . The NiCo2S4//AC device delivers high energy density of 37.69 Wh kg− 1 , maximum power density of 4000.6 W kg− 1 and satisfied cycle property of 96% capacitance retention after over 7000 cycles. The results show that the NiCo2S4 nanotubes are promising electrode material for high performance supercapacitor applications.

Background/Aims Some inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients in remission suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like symptoms (IBD-IBS). The pathogenesis has not yet been elucidated. The study aim is to evaluate relationships among quality of life (QOL), psychological status, and visceral sensitivity, and explore the formation mechanism of IBD-IBS. Methods Forty-seven patients with Crohn’s disease in remission, 24 ulcerative colitis in remission, 26 IBS, and 20 healthy controls were included in the study. The abdominal pain, QOL, anxiety, and depression were evaluated through questionnaires. Visceral sensitivity was measured by rectal balloon distension. The serum levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and nerve growth factor (NGF) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expressions of tryptase, 5-HT, NGF, and related receptors in colonic tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry and western blot. Results Prevalence of IBS-like symptoms in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patients in clinical remission was 29.8% and 50.0%, respectively. The QOL was lower, the anxiety/depression scores were higher in IBD-IBS patients than those without IBS-like symptoms. Additionally, patients with IBD-IBS existed visceral hypersensitivity. Besides, abdominal pain was associated with poor QOL, visceral hypersensitivity, anxiety, and depression in IBD-IBS patients. The number of mast cells (MCs) and expressions of 5-HT, NGF, and related receptors were higher in IBD-IBS patients than those with no such symptoms. The serum levels of 5-HT and NGF positively correlated with abdominal pain and visceral hypersensitivity. Conclusion IBD-IBS patients may have low QOL and psychological abnormalities, as wells as visceral hypersensitivity which may be related to increased 5-HT and NGF levels released from activated mast cells. <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Field-flow fractionation (FFF), a gentle tool for separation and characterization of macromolecules and particles, has attracted increasing interest in recent years due to its broad dynamic size range and the utilization of an “open channel” void of packing materials or stationary phase. In this review, the theoretical principle of FFF separation (such as retention ratio and external force) is described. The FFF sub-techniques based on the type of the external force employed are presented. Sample physical properties directly measured by FFF sub-techniques are summarized. This paper will critically review the applications of FFF in the field of biomedicine, especially those reported in the last five years.</P>
Experimental Study on Pull-Out Behavior of Wedge-Grouted Rockbolt in Wind Turbine Tower Foundation

To investigate the the pull-out behaviors of wedge-grouted rockbolts and grouted rockbolts in strongly weathered and moderately weathered rocks, the rockbolts with lengths of 8.0 m, 10.5 m and 13.0 m were tested under freeze–thaw cycle and cyclic load. The test result shows that the minimum anchoring length of wedge-grouted rockbolt is less than 3.0 m and of grouted rockbolt is less than 4.0 m in the strongly weathered or moderately weathered rock. The effect of the wedge head on restricting the deformation of the rockbolt is not obvious when the anchoring length is less than 6.0 m. Freeze–thaw cycle had little effect on the stiffness and deformation of the two kinds of rockbolts. The wedge-grouted rockbolts have better deformation performance than the grouted rockbolts. The bonding force between the rockbolt and the grout or the grout and the surrounding rock is greater than the tensile strength of the rockbolt. Furthermore, the calculation models of shear stress and axial strain can provide reasonable predictions for two kinds of rockbolts, and the development trends of strain and shear stress under different pullout loads were calculated.
