In the purpose of study, it focused on understanding the recognition of nurse and nurse aid concerning the night work. From 20 July to 20 August, 2002, it focused on 204 nurse and 30 nurse aids in Second Medical Institution, located at kyonggi-do area, with the questionnaire. The investigated result are as follows: 1. In case of the average age and career on night shift work, the nurse were in 27.5 years old and 55 months, and the nurse aid were in 24.5 years old and 44.7 months. Moreover, in case of the night shift working condition per a unit, there were 40 patients and 3 nurses on an average. 2. According to the statistics of questionnaire, they who were the nurse (86.3%) and nurse aid (73.3%) insisted to supplement the current triple working shift. In case of having the volunteering intention in fixed night shift, the nurse were 5.4% and the nurse aid ere 16.7%. And in case of avoiding the night shift after they are pregnant, the nurse were 48.5% and the nurse aid were 70.0%, Moreover, it revealed that both groups didn't want to have the night shift absolutely in the early and last pregnancy. As the career and academic background was lower, the necessity of fixed shift was higher. Therefore, it proposes the alternative plan for supplementing the current working shift like this, from the obligatory to the optional, from the pursuit of efficiency to personal ability assignment and from the health harm to the view of welfare unification. Through this alternative plan, it proposes to manage the manpower flexibly.

This study investigated whether the framework of writing for English learners should be guided by the well-established reading-writing relation or by the receptive and productive nature of literacy skills. The writings of 209 advanced English learners in Korea were analyzed in relation to receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge and reading comprehension while controlling for writing fluency. Two sets of structural equation models were fitted: (1) productive skills (productive vocabulary and writing fluency) mediating receptive skills (receptive vocabulary and reading) and (2) reading mediating receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge. The results supported the second model in which reading completely mediated the contribution of receptive and productive vocabulary to writing. Although there were no direct effects of receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge, both had significant indirect effects on writing through reading and writing fluency. These results show that reading has a strong direct effect on writing above and beyond vocabulary, and that vocabulary knowledge contributes to writing development through reading.
Examining the Appropriateness of the Vocabulary Size Test in Korean EFL Context

The current study investigated the usage of the bilingual Vocabulary Size Test (VST) within Korean EFL environment. Thirty-two university students with an intermediate to high proficiency participated in this study. The students were given a Korean bilingual version of VST and reported their official English scores. The findings of this study are as following: (1) The VST scores showed a significant relationship with students’ proficiency scores which indicates that students with a bigger size of vocabulary had a higher proficiency of English. (2) When VST scores were divided into each frequency level, no particular frequency band demonstrated a significant relationship with English proficiency. Also, the difficulty of each level did not show a consistent pattern. Based on the results of VST, the influence of Korean EFL environment such as loanwords and the test-oriented education system was discovered. This study provides implications for teaching vocabulary in EFL environment and suggests the need for developing of a vocabulary size test for Korean context.
일반고 교육역량 강화 정책 효과성 분석 : 서울시 일반계 고등학교를 중심으로

본 연구는 일반고 교육여건을 개선하고자 도입된 일반고 교육역량 강화 정책의 효과를 서울시 일반계 고등학생를 대상으로 실증적으로 검증하였다. 서울교육종단연구(SELS)의 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 정책의 효과로 학생의 학업성취도와 학습 태도, 학교 만족도에 주목하여 이원고정효과(Two-way fixed effect)를 활용한 이중차분법(Difference-in-differences)으로 분석하였다. 먼저 기술통계 분석 결과, 처치집단과 통제집단에서 모두 고1 시점에 비해 고3 시점의 학업성취도 및 학습 태도, 학교 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 최종 모형인 이원고정효과모형 분석 결과 일반고 교육역량 강화 정책을 경험한 처치집단의 고3 학생들의 국어, 수학 과목 학업성취도 향상 정도가 통제집단과 비교해 통계적으로 유의하게 더 높았다. 학습 태도와 학교 만족도 역시 처치집단에서 정적인 상승 폭이 더 크게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 일반계 고등학교 교육역량 강화 정책의 효과를 극대화하는 방안으로 정책 수요자의 필요를 반영한 정책 환류 체계를 제언하였다. 또한, 일반고 교육역량을 강화 우수 사례를 발굴하여 공유할 것과 세부 정책과제에 대한 수용도를 높이기 위한 추가적인 방안을 마련해야 한다는 시사점을 제시하였다. This study aims to empirically examine the effects of the policy to enhance educational capacity in high schools in South Korea. The policy has been implemented since 2014 as high schools have been considered at risk of the growing percentage of low-performing and discouraged students. With the data of high school students from two different cohorts of the Seoul Educational Longitudinal Study (SELS), the study used the difference-in-differences method: treatment group (high school students from 2013 to 2015), and control group (high school students from 2010 to 2012). First, descriptive results showed that students’ academic grades of Korean and Mathematics, and the levels of learning attitudes and school satisfaction had improved in their senior years compared to their 10th years for both treatment and control groups. Next, the difference-in-differences estimates indicated that academic grades of students who were treated were increased more than the control group as they became senior. Also, the levels of learning attitude and school satisfaction increased than before for the students in the treatment group. This study validated the policy in high schools to be continued to develop school capacity and meet the learning needs of students. Also, recommendations for extending the policies are provided.
3차원 그래픽 데이터베이스에서 객체간의 전후 순서결정 기법

비행 시뮬레이터, 가상현실 등과 같은 3차원 그래픽 데이터베이스의 응용에서는 비행 장면(scene) 및 가상 세계를 걸어다니면서 바라보는 장면을 실시간에 디스플레이하는 기술이 필요하다. 페인터 알고리즘을 이용하여 실시간으로 장면을 디스플레이를 하기 위해서는 시점을 중심으로 가장 먼 객체부터 가장 가까운 객체까지의 객체 순서가 필요하다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 Z-순선화 기법을 이용하여 객체의 전후 순서를 결정할 수 있는 기법을 제안하였다. Flight simulation and virtual reality applications in the 3-dimensional graphic database fields are needed techniques to display virtual space in real time. Using painter's algorithm to display scene in real time is needed to order object from the farthest object to the nearest object in view point. In this paper, we propose a method to decide ordering using the z-order method.
