The Anti-cancer Effect of Oriental Medicine Chung-Ri-Ja-Gam-Tang in the Mouse with Metastatic Lung Cancer. Proceedings of International Symposium on East-West Medicine, Seoul. 231-243, 1999.-The oriental medicine Chung-Ri-Ja-Gam-Tang is an herbal medicine which has been used for pulmonary diseases and known as having immune stimulatory effects. It has been known effective in lung cancer. So we studied the effects and the mechanisms of this herbal medicine it the mouse with metastatic lung cancer. The metastatic lung cancer of the mouse was produced with melnoma cell line(B16BL/6).5×10□/mouse tumor cells were injected intravenously to the CDF1 mouse via tail vein. The mice were divided 4 groups. The first group was treated with 50mg/kg extract of Chung-Ri-Ja-Gam-Tang per oral for 10 days after cancer cell injection, second group treated with saline after cancer cell injection, the third group with medicine without cancer cell, and the last group with saline only. After 10 days treatments some of the mice were scarificed and the lung and spleen was removed. The survival duration, weight change, the number of metastatic cancer nodule of the lung, the NK cell activity, the capacity of cytokines(INF-γ,INF-α,IL-2) production and the proliferation activities of mouse lymphocytes were measured. The surival times of the group 1 mice were longer and the weight loss was less than the group 2 significantly. The number of the metastatic nodule of the lung were decresed in the group 1 than the group 2. The production of INF-γ,was increase in group 2 than group 3 and 4, IL-2 production was increased in group 1 than group 2,3,4 significantly. There was no difference in TNF- α production and proliferation activity of lymphocyte in each group. The NK cell activity was significantly increased in group 1 than group 2,3,4. We conclude that the Chung-Ri-Ja-Gam-Tang has the effect of increasing the NK cell activity of the CDF1 mouse with metastatic lung cancer(B16BL/6). And it is suggested that the increased production of the IL-2 is the mechanisms of enhanced NK cell activity.

      • NaNO₂의 N 핵사중극 공명 연구

        펄스형 핵사중극 공명장치(Pulsed system)를 이용하여 상온에서 NaNO? 분말시료의 위와 아래 공명진동수, 핵사중극 결합상수, 비대칭인자와 스핀-스핀완화시간을 구하였다. FID공명선으로부터 구한 값은 υ+=4.6354 NHz/ υ-=3.5983 MHz, e?qQ/h=5.4891 MHz와n=0.3779이었다. 90?,ι, 180? 펄스연속(spin-echo 신호)과 r를 변화시켜 얻은 진폭을 이용하여 스핀 -스핀 완화시간 T2를 측정하였다. 이결과 υ(T?)=2.50ms, υ-(T?)=2.17ms임을 보였다. Measurements of the upper and lower resonance freqency, quadrupole coupling constant, asymmetry parameter and spin-spin relaxation time are reported for NaNO? powder sample by using the pulsed NQR system at room temperature.From FID line-shapes, we obtained υ=4.6354 MHz, υ=3.5983 MHz, e?qQ/h=5.4891 MHz and η=0.3779. The spin-spin relaxation time T? was maesured using a 90?,ι, 180? pulsed sequanco (spin-echo signals) and varying τwhile measuring the amplitude of the echo. The result showed υ+(T?) =2.50 ms and υ+(T?) =2.17ms.

      • 메세지방식을 이용한 3차원 그래픽환경속의 ITS 시스템

        본 논문은 가상현실 3차원영상을 인터넷에서 응용하여 현실과 가까운 가상현실을 웹으로 생성하여 물리학적 이론이나, 모의 실험들을 직접 표현할 수 있는 ITS 시스템을 설계 하였다. 이렇게 생성된 3차원 가상 현실을 이용하여 모의실험에 이용함으로써, 학생들 에게 보다 직관적인 경험을 제공하고, 원격지의 사용자에게 어려운 이론들을 직접 3차원 그래픽으로 실제 상황과 비슷하게 경험할 수 있게하여 최대한 학습 효과를 높일 수 있도록 하였다. 학습자에 가상현실 속에서 행동한 모은 정보를 메시지 형태로 에이전트에게 보내어서 학습자의 유형에 맞게 적절한 학습이 이루어지도록 하였다. This paper is about ITS using Virtual Reality. For virtual reality (VR), the content should be based on actualities to have an impact on public education, to drive the lesson plans, the pupils' experiences, and the interaction with computers in the classroom. We integrate archaeological data with advanced computer graphics techniques to further education, data analysis, vritual scientific experiment and the preservation of scientific knowledge information.

        This paper aims at studying an investigation of concepts of leadership, a classification of its types, an effective leadership and educational administrator's leadership, through scientific research and philological analysis. Here, leadership can be said to be defined as the kind of highly developed skill and the influencing power which can motivate and promote organizing members to work in close cooperation, with a view to attaining the goal of the organization. The basic demensions of leadership can be found to be divided into two categories of the interest in initiating structure and in consideration. So far as an effective leadership is concerned, it is found to have a growing interest both in human relations and in the achievement of the task. That is, it can be found be accelerate the attainment of the goal of the organization, keeping an equilibrium between humen relations and the chievement of the task. A desirable educational administrator's must play the part of the leader efficiently in achieving the purpose of education under the given circumstances, in consideration of human relations.

        제조합균주 E. coli Ck1092가 생산하는 2,3-Dihydroxybiphenyl Dioxygenase의 정제 및 특성

        4-CB 분해균주인 Pseudomonas sp. P20으로부터 pcbC 유전자를 클로닝하여 얻은 E. coli CK1092로부터 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase을 분리, 정제하여 효소적 특성을 조사하였다. 효소의 정제는 acetone 침전, DEAE-Se-phadex A-25 ion exchange chromatography, preparative electrophoresis 방법으로 정제하였다. 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase의 분자량은 약 270 kDa으로 추정되며, SDS-PAGE에 의한 분자량은 34 kDa이였다. 따라서, 동일한 subunit 8개 존재하는 octamer로 추정된다. 이 효소는 2,3-DHBP에 대해 높은 기질특이성을 보였으며, 3-methylcatechol, 4-methylcatechol, 4-chlorocatechol에 대해서는 활성을 보이지 않았다. 2,3-DHBP에 대한 Km 값은 18 μM이였으며 30μM 이상의 기질농도에서 활성이 감소하였다. 효소활성의 최적 pH는 8.0이였으며, pH 7.0~10.0 범위에서는 안정하였고, 최적 활성 온도는 40~60℃이며, 60℃까지는 비교적 안정하였다. 또한, 이 효소는 Cu^2+, Fe^2+, Fe^3+ 이온들에 의하여 효소활성이 저해되었고, H_2O_2와 EDTA에 의해서도 활성이 저해되었으며, 10%의 유기용매에 의해서 안정화되지 않았다. 효소활성부위를 알아보기 위해 화학변형제를 처리해 본 결과 tryosine, tryptophan과 histidine이 효소활성에 관여할 것으로 추정된다. 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase was purified from E. coli CK1092 carrying the pcbC gene, which was cloned from 4-chlorobiphenyl-degrading Pseudomonas sp. P20. Purification of this enzyme was done by acetone precipitation, DEAE-Sephadex A-25 ion exchange chromatography, and preparative gel electrophoresis. The molecular weight of subunit was 34 kDa determined by SDS-PAGE, and that of native enzyme was about 270 kDa. It suggests that this enzyme consist of eight identical subunits. This enzyme was specifically active against only 2,3-DHBP as a substrate with 18 μM of Km value, but not catechol, 3-methylcatechol, 4-methylcatechol and 4-chlorocatechol. The optimal pH and temperature of 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase were pH 8.0 and 40~60℃. The enzyme was inhibited by Cu^2+, Fe^2+ and Fe^3+ ions, and was inactivated by H_2O_2 and EDTA. The lower concentrations of some organic solvents such as acetone and ethanol don't stabilize the activity of 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase. The enzyme was completely inactivated by adding the reagents such as N-bromosuccinimide, iodine and p-diazobenzene sulfonic acid.

      • 고주파용 칩인덕터 유리소재 개발

        The glass systems of SiO_2-Al_2O_3-B_2O_3-K_2O were fabricated with the composition of SiO_2 65∼76wt%, B_2O_3 20∼30wt%, Al_2O_3 0.3∼4.5wt%, and K_2O 0.5∼2.5wt% for mother glass of high frequency chip inductor. The glasses were prepared by quenching the melt from 1500℃ and analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The specimens were prepared with composites of ball milled glasses powder mixed with 0∼50wt% of alumina powder. After heat treating at 850℃∼950℃, sintering behaviors were observed by measuring the density of specimens as a function of temperature and the amount of alumina. Dielectric constants and dissipation factors were evaluated with HP-4192A as well as other crucial properties such as strength, softening point and thermal expansion. The density, dielectric constant and dissipation factor of specimen were 2.61g/㎟, 5.9∼6.2 and 0.0013∼0.0016 at 1㎒, respectively.

        As telecommunication network users and information appliances increase, efficient home networking environment is needed for bulk A/V data transmission in real time. For this need, the integrated applicable Interfacing technologies using IEEE1394 and UTP cables are considered to be applied to the apartments architecture. In this paper, we firstly review the residential cabling environment of apartents according to the emblem system of MIC in a point of home networking software technologies development and information appliances increase in domestic IT situation, and finally propose a integrated home network infrastructure architecture for users' convenience on the basis of the implementation and experiment on the high speed interfacing environment in the emblem system apartment using the low cost interfacing media.
