The primary objective of this study was tested the baking properties of Korean wheat. In test results, the wheat which was harvested from all over the Korea, not suitable for making bread and cake products. However, some of possibilities to make bread were found by using vital gluten as well as additives. Out of Korean wheat classes, the Tapdong wheat showed good properties for bread making, and it is recommended to develope it as bread making wheat by segregating from other classes in seeding and harvesting.

Due to various documented abnormalities of cell mediated immunity, sepsis still remains the major cause of morbidity and mortality after initial survival from extensive thermal burn. However, the exact mechanisms of immunosuppression after extensive thermal burn remains uncertain. For th observation of immune state, changes of lymphocyte subpopulation have been usually measured in lymphocyte samples from peripheral blood by many reports, but it is only a small fraction of the total lymphocyte pool in the body, and may not present valid picture of the immunological state of the individual. Therefore, analysis of lymphocyte phenotype in thymus and spleen is thought to be necessary in understanding more exact mechanism of immunological changes in extensive thermal burn. The aim of this study is to evaluate the changes of immunocompetency by observing the changes of subpopulation of spleen and thymus lymphocyte using monoclolnal antibodies and changes of tissue with light microscope in burned mice. Cell populations were isolated from spleen and thymus of control and burned mice on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 14th and 21st postburn days(PBD). The cell populations were measured with monoclonal antibody by flow cytometry. The results were as follows: 1.In thymus, Thy 1.2+, L3T4+ and LYt2+ cells decreased markedly on the 3rd PBD. Thy 1.2+ and L3T4+ cells decreased also on 5th, 7th, 14th PBD and returned to control level on 21st PBD, but Lyt2+ cells increased more significantly than control after 3rd PBD and returned to normal on 21st PBD. Qa2+ cells revealed most significant reduction on 7th PBD. 2.In spleen, Thy 1.2+, L3T4+ and Ia+ cells increased on 3rd PBD and then decreased on 7th and 14th PBD. Lyt2+ cells increased in all the burned groups. Qa2+ cells increased on 3rd, 5th PBD and returned to normal level. L3T4+ cell/Lyt2+ cell ratio revealed signicant reduction, but they recovered by the 21st PBD. 3.In histopathologic findings of the spleen & thymus, the all cell subpoulations decreased at 1st PBD, but more increased than that of group of 3rd PBD. And then they revealed normal architecture after 5th PBD.
요추 추간원판의 연령에 따른 변화에 관한 방사선적 연구

10 대에서 60 대까지의 정상 한국인 남녀 512명의 요추부 측면 방사선사진상에서 요주 주간현판의 전반높이 후방높이 및 전후직경호 측정하고 이 계측자를 이용하여 주 간원판의 쐐기모양지수 (index of disc wedging) 와 상내높이지수 (index of relative disc height) 를 산출하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 추간현판」 쐐기모양지수는 남녀 공히 모든 연령군에서 하방으로 내려강수록 증가함을 알 수 있었다。 이는 요추 주간원판의 형태가 하방으로 질수록 쐐기형에 더 가까움을 나다낸다. 상대높이지수는 남녀 공히 측정된 모든 부위에서 연령의 변화에 관계없이 영정하게 유지됨을 알 수 있었는데 이는 요주 추간원판의 높이 는 주제의 높이 와 일정한 비율을 유지하며 변함을 의미한다.

많은 노드와 넓은 지역을 커버하기 위해 클러스터-트리 형태로 구성된 모니터링 네트워크는 싱크 주변에 트래픽이 집중된다. IEEE 802.15.4가 이러한 센서 네트워크에 적용 되었을 때 싱크 주변지역에서의 트래픽 집중으로 인하여 데이터의 전송지연이 길어지고, 데이터를 잃어버릴 가능성이 높다. 본 논문에서는 LR-WPAN에서 채널을 동적으로 할당하여 채널 사용률을 높이고, 데이터 전송 성공률을 높이는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 알고리즘의 성능평가를 위하여 IEEE 802.15.4의 액티브 구간길이를 다양하게 설정하여 실험하였다. 실험 환경은 클러스터-트리 형태의 모니터링 네트워크를 가정하고, 트래픽이 집중되는 지역인 싱크와 l홉 거리에서 발생하는 트래픽을 분석했다. 실험결과 트래픽이 많을수록 DCA가 우수한 성능을 보였다. 트래픽이 가장 적은 상황에 대한 실험에서 IEEE 802.15.4는 최소한의 액티브길이인 14.40ms로 동착하여 90.3%의 데이터 전송 성공률을 보이고, DCA는 11.8ms의 액티브 구간을 유지하며 98.9%의 데이터 전송 성공률을 보였다. In the cluster-tree network which covers wide area network and has many nodes for monitoring purpose traffic is concentrated around the sink. There are long transmit delay and high data loss due to the intensive traffic when IEEE 802.15.4 is adapted to the cluster-tree network. In this paper we propose Dynamic Channel Allocation algorithm which dynamically allocates channels to increase the channel usage and the transmission success rate. To evaluate the performance of DCA, we assumed the monitoring network that consists of a cluster-tree in which sensing data is transmitted to the sink. Analysis uses the traffic data which is generated around the sink. As a result, DCA is superior when much traffic is generated. During the experiment assuming the least amount of traffic, IEEE 802.15.4, has the minimum length of active period and 90% data transmission success rate. However DCA maintains 1l.8ms of active period length and results in 98.9% data transmission success rate.

<P> A novel low-cost fiber in-line-type bidirectional optical subassembly using a tilted fiber Bragg grating has been developed for fiber-to-the-home applications. We successfully realized a low-cost subassembly by reducing the number of components and simplifying the packaging process. The extinction ratio of 14.8 dB, receiver minimum sensitivity of <TEX>${-}$</TEX>26.5 dBm at a bit-error rate of <TEX>$10^{-12}$</TEX> and frequency response of 2.7 GHz were experimentally obtained. The electrical crosstalk between transmitter and receiver part was less than <TEX>${-}$</TEX>86 dB up to 2.5 GHz. </P>
Epinephrine 첨가 Lidocaine 에 의한 액와신경차단시 발생한 Potassium 감소에 대한 Propranolol 의 영향

Recently, interest has been increased on the role of catecholamines in extrarenal potassium homeostasis. This study has undertaken to investigate the effects of epinephrine added to lidocaine for axillary block in HR, MAP, ABG, blood sugar and electrolytes (Na+, K+), and the effects of propranolol, β-adrenergic blocker, on the data. The patients admitted to our hospital for operation of upper extremities were divided into three groups. Group I was 10 patients blocked with lidocaine 30 ml. Group II was 14 patients blocked with lidocaine 30 ml with epinephrine 0.3 mg(1:100,000). Group III was 10 patients pretreated with propranolol (10μ/kg) and blocked with lidocaine 30 ml with epinephrine. After block, the results were as follows. 1) MAP decreased in all group and group III decreased more than group I. 2) HR increased all group and group III decreased more than group I. 3) ABG showed hypoventilatory pattern due to sedative effect by diazepam (0.15mg/kg). 4) Blood sugar value was increased in group I and IIshowed increasing tendency in group III, but this tendency was not significant. 5) Blood K+ concentration decreased significantly and the maximal decrease was 0.5 mEq/L in 30 min after block, but there was not significant decrease in group III. This results indicate that clinical dose of epinephrine(1;100,000) decrease blood K+ concentration significantly and propranolol (10μ/kg) pretreatment prevent K+ decreasing effect of epinephrine. In clinical practice, it is suggested that much care must be paid to use of local anesthetics with epinephrine to hypokalemic patients.
골파괴를 동반한 부비동 점액낭종의 근치수술후 동시재건술 치험례

Mucocele is a chronic, expansile & cystic lesion of the paranasal sinuses, which contains sterile, mucoid secretions. Although the etiology and pathogenesis of a sinus mucocele are uncertain, the accepted theory points to an obstruction near or at a sinus outlet that causes retention of mucous secretion within the sinus cavity. Osseous trauma, tumors or a mucosal thickening (chronic inflammatory disease) in the areas of outlet are the major associated factors. The mucoceles are most frequently found in the frontal sinus. Progressive enlargement of mucocele may cause local bone destruction, variable functional impairments, and facial deformities. In this case, simple surgical removal of mucocele may produce severe facial deformyty and functional impairment postoperatively. To minimize postoperative facial deformities, we have applied primary reconstuctive procedures, utilizing cranial bone grafting for postoperative defect in 2 patients. Judging from postoperative cosmetic and functional viewpoints, the results were fairly satisfactory.
