Background: Computed tomography (CT) is commonly used to evaluate the degree of sinus involvement in case of inverted papilloma (IP). However, CT cannot differentiate tumor from adjacent inflammatory mucosa or retained secretions. By contrast, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been reported to be useful in distinguishing IP from paranasal sinusitis. This study investigated whether preoperative assessment with MRI and CT accurately predict the extent of IP. Materials and methods: CT and MRI were retrospectively reviewed in 9 case of IP. Patients were categorized into staged based on CT and MRI findings according to the staging system proposed by Krouse. The involvement of IP in each sinus was also assessed. Results: Differentiation of IP from inflammatory disease may be more successful in routine case where the inflammatory mucosa has low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and very high signal intensity on T2-weighted images. CT imaging could not differentiate tumor from adjacent inflammatory mucosa or retained secretions. Conclusion: Preoperative MRI of IP can predict the location and extent of the tumor involvement in the paranasal sinuses and sometimes predicts malignant changes.

<P>Abstract</P><P><I>Background and Aims:</I> A recent placebo-controlled trial showed that rebamipide, which is a mucosal-protective antiulcer agent, promoted gastric ulcer healing without affecting the <I>Helicobacter pylori</I> status. We conducted a randomized, double-blind trial to compare the healing effects of rebamipide and the proton-pump inhibitor omeprazole in <I>H. pylori</I>-positive gastric ulcers after <I>H. pylori</I> eradication therapy. <I>Methods:</I> After completion of 1 week of eradication therapy, 132 patients with <I>H. pylori</I>-positive gastric ulcer were enrolled in 5 Chinese and 4 Korean institutions. Patients were randomly assigned to take either 20 mg of omeprazole (n = 63) or 300 mg of rebamipide (n = 65) daily for 7 weeks. Healing was defined as complete recovery and S1 and S2 stage ulcer according to the Sakita-Miwa classification. <I>Results:</I> Healing rates at 12 weeks were 81.5% (53/65) and 82.5% (52/63) in the rebamipide and omeprazole groups, respectively. There was no significant difference in treatment efficacy, as evidenced by gastric ulcer healing rates (absolute difference –1.0%; 95% confidence interval –10.7 to 8.7; p = 0.88). The <I>H. pylori</I> eradication rate and ulcer healing rate did not differ between the groups, the latter regardless of eradication outcome. <I>Conclusions:</I> Rebamipide is as effective as omeprazole in treating of <I>H. pylori</I>-positive gastric ulcer after eradication therapy.</P><P>Copyright © 2011 S. Two azaphilonidal derivatives [penicilazaphilonesB (1) and C (2)], have been isolated from thefermented products of marine fungus strain Penicilliumsclerotiorum M-22, penicilazaphilones C was a new compound. The compound’s structures were identified by theanalysis of spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMRtechniques (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, COSY, HMQC, andHMBC). Biological evaluation revealed that penicilazaphilonesB and C showed selective cytotoxicity againstmelanoma cells B-16 and human gastric cancer cells SGC-7901 with IC50 values of 0.291, 0.449 and 0.065,0.720 mM, respectively, while exhibiting no significanttoxicity to normal mammary epithelial cells M10 at thesame concentration. Moreover, penicilazaphilones C alsoexhibited strong antibacterial activity against Staphylococcusaureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiellapneumonia and Escherichia coli with MIC values0.037–0.150 mM, while penicilazaphilones B’s bacteriostaticaction was weaker.
WHY PACKAGE TOURS FALL IN POPULARITY:EVIDENCE FROM CHINA’S OUTBOUND TOURISM MARKET

This study develops a model of the market life cycle of package tours, explaining that such tours inherently have low tourist satisfaction which results in a decrease in market share. The model is based on the proposition that tourist satisfaction depends on the extent to which their preferences are fulfilled at the destination, which in turn is determined by their knowledge of its attributes. An analysis of data on China’s outbound tourism market from 1993 to 2010 shows that as tourist satisfaction at the destination increases, the market share of inclusive package tours declines. This suggests that tourist satisfaction can predict tourists’ subsequent choice of a package tour. As tourist satisfaction increases due to the improved information in the market, such package tours will be gradually substituted for independent travel or entirely new packages, or replaced by travel to a new destination.

Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to investigate hydrogen bonding characteristics of hydroxyl groups in glucose aqueous solutions with different concentrations. The hydrogen bonding abilities and strength of different O and H atom types have been calculated and compared. The acceptor/donor efficiencies have been predicted and it has been found that: (1) O2-HO2 and O3-HO3 are more efficient intramolecular hydrogen bonding acceptors than donors; (2) O1-HO1, O4-HO4 and O6-HO6 are more efficient intramolecular hydrogen bonding donors than acceptors; (5) O1-HO1 and O6-HO6 are more efficient intermolecular hydrogen bonding acceptors than donors while hydroxyl groups O2-HO2 and O4-HO4 are more efficient intermolecular hydrogen bonding donors than acceptors. The hydrogen bonding abilities of hydroxyl groups revealed that: (1) the hydrogen bonding ability of OH2-$H_w$ is larger than that of hydroxyl groups in glucose; (2) among the hydroxyl groups in glucose, the hydrogen bonding ability of O6-HO6 is the largest and the hydrogen bonding ability of O4-HO4 is the smallest; (3) the intermolecular hydrogen bonding ability of O6-HO6 is the largest; (4) the order for intramolecular hydrogen bonding abilities (from large to small) is O2-HO2, O1-HO1, O3-HO3, O6-HO6 and O4-HO4.

A new simple 3-node triangular flat-shell element with standard nodal DOF (6 DOF per node) is proposed for the linear and geometrically nonlinear analysis of very thin to thick plate and shell structures. The formulation of element GT9 (Long and Xu 1994), a generalized conforming membrane element with rigid rotational freedoms, is employed as the membrane component of the new shell element. Both one-point reduced integration scheme and a corresponding stabilization matrix are adopted for avoiding membrane locking and hourglass phenomenon. The bending component of the new element comes from a new generalized conforming Kirchhoff-Mindlin plate element TSL-T9, which is derived in this paper based on semiLoof constrains and rational shear interpolation. Thus the convergence can be guaranteed and no shear locking will happen. Furthermore, a simple hybrid procedure is suggested to improve the stress solutions, and the Updated Lagrangian formulae are also established for the geometrically nonlinear problems. Numerical results with solutions, which are solved by some other recent element models and the models in the commercial finite element software ABAQUS, are presented. They show that the proposed element, denoted as GMST18, exhibits excellent and better performance for the analysis of thin-think plates and shells in both linear and geometrically nonlinear problems.
Implementation and Dynamic Gait Planning of a Quadruped Bionic Robot
Song Yong,Chen Teng,Hao Yanzhe,Wang Xiaoli 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2017 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.15 No.6
This paper investigates dynamic gait planning optimization and balance control of quadruped robotsunder external disturbance forces. First, a platform of quadruped walking robot with fourteen active degrees offreedom is designed. Then, a forward kinematic model of joints is built for quadruped robots based on Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H) method. The inverse kinematic equations are solved to result in joint values when the desiredposition and orientation are specified. A dynamic gait planning algorithm is proposed and tested on the quadrupedrobot. The planning function is established to create some point-to-point trajectories. The angle values of thejoints can be calculated by using the inverse kinematics equations for every moment. Considering the externaldistribution a balance control approach is proposed to stabilize the robot based on the information from the attitudesensors. The walking is stabilized by a feedback control that uses a three-axis acceleration sensor. Experimentshave been performed on the quadruped robot. The results showed that the proposed methods work well in dynamicgait planning and external disturbances of a quadruped bionic robot.
