DESMOPLASTIC AMELOBLASTOMA의 치험 1례
김성국,신홍인,박희경,장현중,김영미,김진수 大韓顎顔面成形再建外科學會 1996 Maxillofacial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Vol.18 No.1
Ameloblastomas are benign epithelial neoplasm of the jaw comprising approximately 1-3.3% of all odontogenic cysts and tumors. Although most are microscopically benign, they are generally considered to be locally aggressive and destructive, exhibiting a high rate of recurrence. Treatments of them contain the conservative treatments on unilocular types and radical treatments on multilocular types. Classifications based on the histologic features of ameloblastoma generally included the follicular, plexiform, acanthomatous, basal cell, uncystic types. However, recantly a new and unusual variant has been added by Eversole et. al in 1984, the histologic features of which are characterized by marked stromal desmoplastic proliferation. This is a case report of desmoplastic ameloblastoma in the anterior maxilla of 63 year-old female treated by block excision. THis provides a brief review of the literature because of the rarity and unusual radiographic-histologic features of desmoplastic ameloblastoma.

Hye Jeong Kim,Jung Hun Pak,Mi Jin Kim,Su Yeong Yun,Yeong Hoon Lee,Ki Hyun Ryu,Kook-Hyung Kim,Young Soo Chung 한국육종학회 2013 한국육종학회 심포지엄 Vol.2013 No.07
Soybean mosaic virus (SMV), a member of Potyviridae family, is one of the most typical viral diseases and results in yield and quality loss of cultivated soybean. Due to the depletion of genetic resources for resistance breeding, a trial of genetic transformation to improve disease resistance has been performed by introducing SMV-CP and HC-Pro gene by RNA interference (RNAi) method via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. Transgenic plants were infected with SMV strain G5 and investigated the viral response. As a result, two lines (3 and 4) of SMV-CP(RNAi) transgenic plants and three lines (2, 5 and 6) of HC-Pro(RNAi) transgenic plants showed viral resistance. In genomic Southern blot analysis, most of lines contained at least one T-DNA insertion in both SMV-CP(RNAi) and HC-Pro(RNAi) transgenic plants. Subsequent investigation confirmed that no viral CP and HC-Pro gene expression was detected in two SMV-resistant lines of SMV-CP(RNAi) and three lines of HC-Pro(RNAi) transgenic plants, respectively. On the other hand, non-transgenic plants and other lines showed viral RNA expression. Viral symptoms affected seed morphology, and clean seeds were harvested from SMV-resistant line of SMV-CP(RNAi) and HC-Pro(RNAi) transgenic plants. In addition, strong viral gene expression was detected from seeds of SMV-susceptible non-transgenic plants and SMV-susceptible transgenic lines. When compared the viral resistance between SMV-CP(RNAi) and HC-Pro(RNAi) transgenic plants, soybean transgenic plants with the HC-Pro gene using RNAi strategy showed much stronger and higher frequency of viral resistance.

Changes in cell cycle control in the lungs and liver of the B6C3F1 mice (20 males per each group) exposed to ozone (0.5 ppm), 4-(N-methyl-N-nitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK, 1.0 mg/kg), and dibutyl phthalate (DBP, 5,000 ppm) after 52 weeks were examined through Western, Northern blot, and immunohistochemistry based on alterations in protein expression levels of G1/S checkpoints (cyclin D1, cyclin E, and PCNA), G2/M checkpoints (cyclin B1, cyclin G, and cyclin A), negative regulators (p53, p21, GADD45, and p27), and positive regulator (mdm2). Expression levels of cyclins D1, E, G, PCNA, mutant p53, and mdm2 proteins were higher in the lungs
and livers treated with combination of toxicants than in those treated with ozone only. Expression levels of the wild-type and mutant p53, p21, GADD45, p27, and mdm2 proteins and mRNAs were
higher in toxicant-treated groups than those of the control. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed staining intensities of the PCNA, cyclin D1, c-myc and mdm2 protein- treated lungs and livers were stronger than those of the control group. Our results showed that combined treatment of ozone with NNK/DBP altered the cell cycle control through instability of the wild-type p53 gene. Such pivotal p53-mediated cell cycle alterations may be responsible for the toxicity observed under our experimental condition. These results may be applied to risk assessment of mixture-induced toxicity.
Effect of Korean red ginseng marc fermented by Bacillus subtilis on swine immunity
Kim, Hong-Kook,Choe, Yeong-Ho,Kim, Geun-Seop,Kim, Ha-Young,Kim, Byeong-Soo The Korean Society of Veterinary Service 2018 韓國家畜衛生學會誌 Vol.41 No.3
Red ginseng marc is a by-product of Korean red ginseng (panax ginseng CA Meyer) and contains ginsenoside which has pharmacological effects. The Korean red ginseng marc was fermented with Bacillus subtilis (RGMB). This study was carried out to investigate the RGMB effect on swine immunity. The variation of ginsenoside depending on the RGMB fermentation time was analyzed. Swine (Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire) were divided into control group (basic diet) and RGMB group (RGMB 1% diet). One percent RGMB was fed to the RGMB group for 28 days. The biochemical parameters, cytokine and immunoglobulin were analyzed. For 48 hours of fermentation on RGMB, ginsenoside Rb1 had increased 180.94%, Rg3 235.85%. Rg1 wasn't detected before fermentation, but was detected after 48 hours of fermentation. The RGMB had effect of deceasing initial AST concentration $79.33{\pm}12.85U/L$ to $54.00{\pm}14.46U/L$ in final and was significantly lower (P<0.05) than control in final. In final RGMB had significantly lower (P<0.05) ALT concentration of $48.57{\pm}8.26U/L$ comparing with control group of $65.43{\pm}10.31U/L$. RGMB had the effect of significantly decreasing (P<0.05) $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6 and $TNF-{\alpha}$ concentration of $2.44{\pm}1.31ng/mL$, $0.71{\pm}0.36ng/mL$ and $0.51{\pm}0.21ng/mL$. The IgA concentration had significantly increased (P<0.05) in RGMB group of $0.56{\pm}0.06mg/mL$ in final. These results demonstrate that RGMB has effect of increasing immunity and practicable to use as feed additives on swine.

Kim, Eui-Yeong,Kook, Seung-Woo,Oh, Taek-Keun,Lee, Chang-Hoon,Ko, Byong-Gu,Kim, Seok-Cheol,Kim, Sung-Chul 한국토양비료학회 2016 한국토양비료학회지 Vol.49 No.6
Food waste (FW) has been recognized as a critical problem in Korea and many research was conducted to efficiently utilize or treat FW. Main purpose of this research was to evaluate a feasibility for producing fermented organic fertilizer with vegetable waste (VW). Three different organic materials (saw dust, coco peat, and waste mushroom media) were mixed with VW at the rate of 30, 40, 50% respectively. Total days of composting experiment were 35 days and each sub samples were collected at every 5 days from starting of composting. Result showed that inner temperature of composting was increased to $60{\pm}4^{\circ}C$ within 5~10 days depending on varied organic materials and mixing ratio. Among different treatment, the highest increase of inner temperature was observed when 30% of saw dust was mixed with VW. After finishing composting experiment, maturity of each compost was evaluated with solvita and germination test. Maturity index (MI) of each treatment was ranged between 5~7 indicating that manufactured fertilizer was curing or finished stage. Calculated germination index (GI) was at the range of 57.83~101.16 depending on organic materials and mixing ratio. Both MI and GI showed that manufactured fertilizer was met for fertilizer criteria while control (VW only) was not adequate for composting. Overall, VW can be utilized for making organic fertilizer mixing with saw dust, coco peat and more research should be conducted to make high quality of organic fertilizer with vegetable waste.

Cobalt silicidation at sidewall spacer edge of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFETs) with post annealing treatment for capacitor forming process has been investigated as a function of dopant species. Cobalt silicidation of nMOSFET with n-type Lightly Doped Drain (LDD) and pMOSFET with p-type LDD produces a well-developed cobalt silicide with its lateral growth underneath the sidewall spacer. In case of pMOSFET with n-type LDD, however, a void is formed at the sidewall spacer edge with no lateral growth of cobalt silicide. The void formation seems to be due to a retarded silicidation process at the LDD region during the first Rapid Thermal Annealing (RTA) for the reaction of Co with Si, resulting in cobalt mono silicide at the LDD region. The subsequent second RTA converts the cobalt monosilicide into cobalt disilicide with the consumption of Si atoms from the Si substrate, producing the void at the sidewall spacer edge in the Si region. The void formed at the sidewall spacer edge serves as a resistance in the current-voltage characteristics of the pMOSFET device.
