        Fatigue is affected motor control, coordination and balance. This study recognize whether affect some balance of one leg standing by fatigue that do submaximal and is happened after exercise. It serve to measures and do maximum, strength of exercise measures heart beat same number and calculated target heart beat same number when is stable with maximum heart beat same number. This time, 5 minutes measured a rest after trouble very in couch of heart beat same number when maximum heart beat same number is stable being '220-ages' (maximum heart beat same number-heart beat same number when is stable) target heart beat same number is 0.85. When is stable serving to measure one leg balance is change after maximum low class exercise after and exercise 10 minutes after and measured change of balance with each mean value. This time, target heart beat same number for maximum low class exercise used heart of balance used active-balance system. Such measured value plain received figure using SPSS.

        Lichen sclerosus et atrophicus (LSA) is an inflammatory disease that primarily causes anogenital lesion in middle aged women. We present here a case of facial LSA with an asymptomatic, well-demarcated, whitish to bluish, atrophic patch in a linear pattern on the forehead of a 48-year-old woman. This case showed an atypical clinical presentation and it mimicked en coup de sabre, but the histopathologic results confirmed the diagnosis of LSA. (Ann Dermatol 23(2) 222∼224, 2011)

        경량 동적콘관입시험기를 이용한 화강풍화토의 다짐도에 따른 역학특성

        본 연구에서는 남원 사면현장에서 채취된 화강풍화토를 이용하여 경량 동적콘관입시험기의 국내 사면현장에서 적용성을 조사하였다. 그리고 다짐도와 함수비 변화에 따른 경량 동적콘관입시험을 수행하고, 다짐도, 간극비, 포화도와 콘관입 저항치와의 상관성을 분석하였다. 그 결과로 최적함수비의 건조측에서 함수비 증가와 더불어 관입저항치가 급격히 증가하고 습윤측에서 크게 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 물리적 특성과의 상관관계에서 다짐도 및 포화도가 클수록 콘 저항치가 선형적으로 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 이로 인해 역학특성 변화에 따른 함수비, 간극비, 포화도와 콘관입저항치 사이에 높은 상관성을 보여 사면조사시 경량 동적콘관입시험기의 현장적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. In this study, the applicability of the lightweight dynamic cone penetrometer in the domestic slope site was investigated using the weathered granite soil sampled form the Namwon slope site. And then, the lightweight dynamic cone penetration tests according to the change in the degree of compaction and water content were performed and it was analyzed with the correlations between the degree of compaction, the void ratio, the degree of saturation and the value of cone resistance. From the laboratory test results, the cone penetration resistance was rapidly increased in the dry side of the optimum moisture content, and it was largely decreased in the wet side of the optimum moisture content. Moreover, when the degree of compaction and the degree of saturation are large, the cone resistance is increased linearly. And a high correlativity was shown between water content, void ratio, the degree of saturation and the cone resistance. From these results, it is judged that the lightweight dynamic cone penetrometer can be applied to the investigation on the site slope.

        Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase regulates the cell differentiation and mineralization in cultured odontoblasts

        The aim of the present study was to investigate the physiological role of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) associated with odontogenic differentiation during tooth development in mice. Mouse dental papilla cell-23 (MDPC- 23) cells cultured in differentiation media were stimulated with the specific NAMPT inhibitor, FK866, and Visfatin (NAMPT) for up to 10 days. The cells were evaluated after 0, 4, 7, and 10 days. Cell viability was measured using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol- 2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. The mineralization assay was performed by staining MDPC-23 cells with Alizarin Red S solution. After cultivation, MDPC-23 cells were harvested for quantitative PCR or Western blotting. Analysis of variance was performed using StatView 5.0 software (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. The expression of NAMPT increased during the differentiation of murine odontoblast-like MDPC-23 cells. Furthermore, the up-regulation of NAMPT promoted odontogenic differentiation and accelerated mineralization through an increase in representative odontoblastic biomarkers, such as dentin sialophosphoprotein, dentin matrix protein-1, and alkaline phosphatase in MDPC-23 cells. However, treatment of the cells with the NAMPT inhibitor, FK866, attenuated odontogenic differentiation, as evidenced by the suppression of odontoblastic biomarkers. These data indicate that NAMPT regulated odontoblastic differentiation through the regulation of odontoblastic biomarkers. The increase in NAMPT expression in odontoblasts was closely related to the formation of the extracellular matrix and dentin via the Runx signaling pathway. Therefore, these data suggest that NAMPT is a critical regulator of odontoblast differentiation during tooth development.

        교육시설물의 실내공기질 측정 및 개선방안에 관한 연구

        People spend more than 90% of their time indoor. Nowadays as they are interested in environment much more than before, indoor air pollution has been regarded as new environmental problems. At present, an air quality check is required prior to the completion of construction. However this study shows that the density level of HCHO and VOCs in a classroom was increased after furnishing the classroom. Thus, to measure the quality of air more effectively and accurately, it should be measured after the indoor space are furnished. Newly-built schools are tested for this study. The building sites were investigated to measure and evaluate the IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) in newly-built schools. The result of this study can be used as a basis to improve the environment air condition of the educational facilities.

        Early diagnosis of Gaucher disease in Korean patients with unexplained splenomegaly: a multicenter observational study

        Background Gaucher disease (GD) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by excessive accumulation of glucosylceramide in multiple organs. This study was performed to determine the detection rate of GD in a selected patient population with unexplained splenomegaly in Korea. Methods This was a multicenter, observational study conducted at 18 sites in Korea between December 2016 and February 2020. Adult patients with unexplained splenomegaly were enrolled and tested for β-glucosidase enzyme activity on dried blood spots (DBS) and in peripheral blood leukocytes. Mutation analysis was performed if the test was positive or indeterminate for the enzyme assay. The primary endpoint was the percentage of patients with GD in patients with unexplained splenomegaly. Results A total of 352 patients were enrolled in this study (male patients, 199; mean age, 48.42 yr). Amongst them, 14.77% of patients had concomitant hepatomegaly. The most common sign related to GD was splenomegaly (100%), followed by thrombocytopenia (44.32%) and, anemia (40.91%). The β-glucosidase activity assay on DBS and peripheral leukocytes showed abnormal results in sixteen and six patients, respectively. Eight patients were tested for the mutation, seven of whom were negative and one patient showed a positive mutation analysis result. One female patient who presented with splenomegaly and thrombocytopenia was diagnosed with type 1 GD. The detection rate of GD was 0.2841% (exact 95% CI, 0.0072‒1.5726). Conclusion The detection rate of GD in probable high-risk patients in Korea was lower than expected. However, the role of hemato-oncologists is still important in the diagnosis of GD.

        The Efficiency of Selecting Target Flower Traits at Early Seedling Stage for New Cut Rose Cultivars

        To increase the selection efficiency for new cultivars in cut roses during breeding programs, phenotypes of seedlings in two cross combinations, C1 (Rosa hybrida ‘Yellow King’ x ‘Aladin’) and C2 (R. hybrida ‘Evelien’ x ‘Sunny Isle’), were investigated. Although most seedlings showed classic-type flower shapes, some (0.4% - 0.7%) had tomato-shaped flowers, especially at the young plant stage (6 months old). The variation in petal color was high, and pink and pink-mixed flowers were dominant, accounting for 72% in C1 and 76% in C2 at the mature plant stage (13-month-old plants). However, the seedlings had changes in the expression of petal color at different growth stages. The number of petals at the young plant stage had a strong positive correlation with those at the mature plant stage in C1 (r = 0.84***) and C2 (r = 0.73***). Sizes of flowers and petals increased with the growth of the seedlings, and their traits at the young plant stage had positive correlations with those at the mature plant stage in both C1 (r = 0.32***) and C2 (r = 0.39***). Prickle expression on stems was mostly in level 5 at the young plant stage and then dispersed to various classes at the mature plant stage, which increased the variation and coefficient of variation. To select seedlings for new cultivars through breeding processes, breeders should consider the growth stage for targeted traits.

        흰쥐에서 키토올리고당의 장 생태와 지질 상태에 미치는 용량에 따른 효과

        본 연구는 흰쥐에서 저분자량(1~3 kDa) 키토올리고당(chitooligosaccharide, COS)이 장내 미생물에 미치는 항균 활성과 지질 개선에 관한 용량-반응 효과를 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 4주령 된 Sprague-Dawley 수컷 32마리를 1주일 동안 사육 환경에 적응시킨 후 군당 8마리씩 4군으로 나누어서 고지방식이에 키토올리고당을 0%(대조식이), 0.5%, 2%, 5% 수준으로 첨가한 식이를 5주 동안 자유롭게 급여하였다. 실험식이 5주째에 장 통과시간을 측정하였고, 신선한 분변을 취하여 장내 균수를 측정하였으며, 희생 후 혈장지질, 간 지질, GPT 활성, 분변 지질을 측정하였다. 체중 증가량과 식이섭취량은 COS 5% 첨가군에서 유의하게 낮았다. 분변 중 bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, bacteroides, total anaerobes, total aerobes 수는 대조군, COS 0.5% 첨가군과 COS 2% 첨가군 사이에 차이가 없었으나, COS 5% 첨가군에서는 모두 유의하게 감소하였다. 혈장 총 콜레스테롤, HDL-C 및 LDL-C 농도는 군간 차이가 없었으나, 중성지방 농도는 COS 2% 첨가군과 COS 5% 첨가군에서 유의하게 낮았으며, 키토올리고당의 용량이 높아질수록 낮았다. 간 조직의 중성지방 농도는 COS 5% 첨가군에서 낮았으며, 반면에 분변의 콜레스테롤 및 중성지방 농도는 COS 5% 첨가군에서 높았으나 담즙산은 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로 저분자량(1~3 kDa) 키토올리고당을 5% 첨가한 식이는 흰쥐의 식이섭취량, 체중증가량, 혈장 중성지방을 낮추어 지질 개선효과를 보였고, 분변의 혐기성균 중에 bacteroides의 균수를 크게 감소시켰으며 bifidobacteria와 lactobacilli 균수도 억제함으로써 장 미생물생태 변화를 초래하였다. This study was carried out to investigate the dose-response of chitooligosaccharide (with a molecular weight of 1~3 kDa) on antimicrobial activity and lipid lowering functions in rats. Sprague-Dawley male rats were given experimental diets containing 0 (control), 0.5, 2, or 5% chitooligosaccharide (COS) for 5 weeks. Weight gain and food intake were significantly lower in rats fed 5% COS than control rats and rats fed 0.5 and 2% COS. The numbers of fecal bacteria, including bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, bacteroides, total anaerobes, and total aerobes, which reflect gut microbiota, were significantly decreased in rats fed 5% COS. Plasma triglyceride concentrations significantly decreased in a dose-dependent manner in rats fed 2% or 5% COS, while plasma total cholesterol was not significantly different among groups. The hepatic concentration of triglycerides was lower in rats fed 5% COS, and fecal triglycerides significantly increased in rats fed 5% COS. These results indicate that 5% COS supplementation in a diet may exert antimicrobial activity in vivo, and inhibit the proliferation of typical gut microbes, while lowering lipids.
