Uniform Co:MgAl2O4 nano-powders for saturable absorber were prepared using inverse-drip co-precipitation method. Effectsof the precipitant and the metal ion solution on the composition and morphology of Co:MgAl2O4 nano-powders were studied. The results show that pure Co:MgAl2O4 nano-powders can be obtained, using the mixed solution of ammonium carbonate andammonia as the precipitant. The specific surface area of the particles reached 36 m2/g and the primary particle size was 39nm according to the SEM images and BET results.

Objective: This study aims to analyze factors associated with lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) and evaluate the prognostic significance of LVSI in Chinese endometrioid endometrial cancer (EEC) patients. Methods: Five-hundred eighty-four EEC patients undergoing surgery in our center from 2006 to 2016 were selected for analysis. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression were used to examine relevant factors of LVSI. To evaluate the prognostic role of LVSI, survival analyses were conducted. In survival analyses, both multivariate Cox regression and propensity score matching were used to control the confounders. Results: The incidence of LVSI was 12.16% (71/584). Diabetes history (p=0.021), lymph node metastasis (p=0.005), deep myometrial invasion (p<0.001) and negative PR expression (p=0.007) were independently associated with LVSI. Both Kaplan-Meier method and univariate Cox regressions showed LVSI negative and positive cases had similar tumor-specific survival (TSS) and disease-free survival (DFS). After adjusting for the influence of adjuvant therapy and other clinicopathological factors with multivariate Cox regressions, LVSI still could not bring additional survival risk to the patients (p=0.280 and p=0.650 for TSS and DFS, respectively). This result was verified by Kaplan-Meier survival analyses after propensity score matching (p=0.234 and p=0.765 for TSS and DFS, respectively). Conclusion: LVSI does not significantly compromise the survival outcome of Chinese EEC patients.

The enzyme 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMGR; EC1.1.1.34) catalyzes the first committed step of isoprenoids biosynthesis in MVA pathway. Here we report for the first time the cloning and characterization of a full-length cDNA encoding HMGR (designated as CgHMGR, GenBank accession number EF206343) from hazel (Corylus avellana L. Gasaway), a taxol-producing plant species. The full-length cDNA of CgHMGR was 2064 bp containing a 1704-bp ORF encoding 567 amino acids. Bioinformatic analyses revealed that the deduced CgHMGR had extensive homology with other plant HMGRs and contained two transmembrane domains and a catalytic domain. The predicted 3-D model of CgHMGR had a typical spatial structure of HMGRs. Southern blot analysis indicated that CgHMGR belonged to a small gene family. Expression analysis revealed that CgHMGR expressed high in roots, and low in leaves and stems, and the expression of CgHMGR could be up-regulated by methyl jasmonate (MeJA). The functional color assay in Escherichia coli showed that CgHMGR could accelerate the biosynthesis of $\beta$-carotene, indicating that CgHMGR encoded a functional protein. The cloning, characterization and functional analysis of CgHMGR gene will enable us to further understand the role of CgHMGR involved in taxol biosynthetic pathway in C. avellana at molecular level.

Nowadays, customers have become increasingly dissatisfied with accepting products and services offered by suppliers. Instead, they are involved in product development as co-productor (Prahalad & Ramaswamy, 2004). There are diverse types ranging from online discussion to virtual design enabling customer involved in co-creation activities related to product support. “Customer design” enables the firm to have possibilities enhancing the whole value of product design during development process (Fuchs & Schreier, 2011). However, some of scholars have found that customers cannot always play a useful role in luxury product design. Fuchs and Schreier (2011) studied that buyers can easily observe the source of design, which damage the image of co-designed product. That is because luxury product always played as a specific label of wealth and states to some extend (Ko & Phau, Aiello, 2016). Thus, this study draws from co-creation theory to investigate the specificity of online luxury design, using an experimental method. We analyze and discuss the diverging affection of luxury design held by co-creation idea innovativeness and behavior intensity, and the role played by sponsoring firm and community members.
Experimental Study of Adaptive Sliding Mode Control for Vibration of a Flexible Rectangular Plate

This paper aims to address the intelligent active vibration control problem of a flexible rectangular plate vibration involving parameter variation and external disturbance. An adaptive sliding mode (ASM) MIMO control strategy and smart piezoelectric materials are proposed as a solution, where the controller design can deal with problems of an external disturbance and parametric uncertainty in system. Compared with the current ‘classical’ control design, the proposed ASM MIMO control strategy design has two advantages. First, unlike existing classical control algorithms, where only low intelligence of the vibration control system is achieved, this paper shows that high intelligent of the vibration control system can be realized by the ASM MIMO control strategy and smart piezoelectric materials. Second, the system performance is improved due to two additional terms obtained in the active vibration control system. Detailed design principle and rigorous stability analysis are provided. Finally, experiments and simulations were used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy using a hardware prototype based on NI instruments, a MATLAB/SIMULINK platform, and smart piezoelectric materials.

The attapulgite-iron oxide magnetic composites were synthesized by coprecipitation of iron oxides onattapulgite particles, and characterized by FTIR and XRD. The composites had the saturationmagnetization value of 32.7 emu/g, which made the composites separate from aqueous solution easilyusing the magnetic separation method in large scale. The composites could preconcentrate Eu(III)efficiently from aqueous solutions. The sorption of Eu(III) on the composites was affected by pH and ionicstrength obviously. The sorption isotherms were well simulated by Langmuir model, and the maximumsorption capacity was calculated to be 4.94 10 4 mol/g at pH 5.0, which was much higher othermaterials.
The Digital Transformation of Power Grid under the Background of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in the intelligent development of China’s power system. It is alsoan important part of the digital development of the power grid. The development of AI determines whether thedigital transformation of China’s power system can be successfully implemented. Therefore, this paperdiscusses the digital transformation of the power grid based on AI technologies. The author has established adigital evaluation index system to reflect the development of the power grid in one province. Both qualitativeand quantitative methods have been adopted in the analysis, which delves into the economic effectiveness,quality, and coordination of power grid development in the province in a comprehensive way. Results showthat, to meet the needs of the power grid’s digital transformation, the correlation coefficient between the powergrid’s development and the province’s overall coordination has been increasing in recent years.

Tumor suppressor gene O<sup>6</sup>-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation has been reported in melanoma. However, the clinical and prognostic significance of MGMT promoter methylation in patients with melanoma remained to be determined. A systematic search was performed to identify eligible papers published. The overall odds ratios (ORs) or hazard ratios and their 95% confidence intervals were calculated. Final 12 eligible publications involving Caucasian population were performed in this study, including 1,071 metastatic melanoma patients, 154 primary melanoma patients, and 211 normal controls. MGMT promoter methylation was significantly higher in primary or metastatic melanoma than in normal controls (p<0.05). No difference of MGMT promoter methylation was found in primary and metastatic melanoma (p=0.432). When metastatic melanoma was compared to normal controls, subgroup analysis showed the correlation between MGMT promoter methylation and different sample materials (tissue: OR=7.01, p<0.001 and blood: OR=12.04, p=0.005). MGMT promoter methylation was not associated with response to drug therapy and the prognosis in overall survival and progression-free survival for multivariate analysis. Our results show that MGMT promoter methylation may be correlated with the increased risk of primary or metastatic melanoma. Based on blood samples, MGMT promoter methylation may become a noninvasive biomarker for the detection of metastatic melanoma. Further additional clinical studies are necessary. A Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Parthenogenetic Lines and Amphigenetic Lines of Silkworm

Parthenogenetic strains of silkworm serve as aneffective system for sex-control in silkworms. To determinethe molecular mechanism of silkworm parthenogenesis,protein profiles from newly hatched silkworm of aparthenogenetic lines with high pigmentation rate andhatching rate were compared with amphigenetic lines usingproteomics approach, including by two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE), matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionizationtime-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF MS),and bioinformatics analysis. Several proteins were expresseddifferentially between the parthenogenetic and amphigeneticlines, and seven of nine interesting proteins were identifiedsuccessfully using MALDI-TOF/TOF MS analysis. Theidentified proteins were muscular protein-20, odorant bindingprotein-LOC100301497, glutathione S-transferase delta,translationally controlled tumor protein homolog, cuticularprotein RR-1 motif 19, beta-actin, actins, and muscle-typeA1 actins. These proteins may be associated with the regulationof growth, development, and reproductive processes ofsilkworm parthenogenetic lines.
