This study introduces a new design of electromagnetic manipulation (EMM) system for wireless control of magnetic robots and magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications. It can generate a high-gradient magnetic field in the desired direction and forms the ponderomotive force distribution which allows the motion of magnetic robots in the specified direction. The real time microscopic-video supported by the LabVIEW vision system, the detection of object function through NI-Vision Assistant and tracking function through Math-Script node in the LabVIEW simulation. The motion speed and direction of the magnetic robotics/ nanoscale material can also be manipulated using EMM system and Joystick controller.

A stent fatigue and migration testing device was designed based on the mathematical analysis of fatigue mechanism of an esophageal stent and esophageal motility, in which the esophageal stent was assumed to be under simulated in vivo peristaltic movement. A system simulating an esophageal tube movement was developed using Arduino MEGA and LabVIEW LIFO interface. The precise detection of the esophageal stent migration model was done by combining camera image processing analysis and Flexible Pressure Sensor (FPS). An Arduino MEGA2560 was used as the control board for the real-time monitoring of non-vascular esophageal stents while a LabVIEW based software was designed to monitor in real time the FPS and Flexible Bend Sensor (FBS) as well as the image processing for the stent fatigue/migration testing. Experimental results verified that the system can test for a stent’s fatigue life and the corresponding recorded data can be used for optimizing esophagus design. The proposed system can be further upgraded to be able to evaluate other types of stents for non-vascular applications as well as stents that is made from experimental materials.
Real-time object motion estimation based on frequency domain matching from a single camera

In this paper, we propose a new method for estimating motions of a moving object in image sequences from a single camera. Log-polar transform and phase correlation matching method is applied to estimate rotation and scale change between the object in the template image and the object in the next frames. Kalman filtering is utilized to smooth high frequency variation of the estimated rotation and scale motions. Translation of the object is estimated through template matching by dynamically updating template for each frame. Based on the proposed method, we implemented experiments to check accuracy of results from phase correlation matching and demonstrated an application for tracking object motion in real-time image sequences.
AES-CCM Hardware Architecture using a shared SBox for home security

Increasing demand of home area network requires strong security functionalities. The another hand, it requires low power and low cost architecture. This paper proposes a new AES-CCM hardware architecture for home security implementation, which supports low power using a shared SBox scheme for both data ciphering and key scheduling while maintaining sub-divided LUTs instead of one 16×16 LUT.

It has been merely 25 years since the Korean language began to be taught in contemporary Mongolia, but many studies have been made on Korean language education. As the goals of Korean language education in Mongolia has been changed to the training of Korean interpreters and translators, however, each school is executing translation education, but few studies have been made on translation education for Mongolian learners. What is more, because the methods of teaching and learning in the translation class are not efficient, many of learners who have completed such a course fail to be a professional interpreter or translator. Vast knowledge of vocabulary and grammar does not guarantee a learner to be a good translator. As it is essential for a translator to have grammatical abilities to understand the contents of a text to be translated and translate them correctly, grammar education is important as that much in the translation class. Thus, this study purposed to analyze grammatical errors observed commonly in Mongolian learners’ Mongolian-Korean translation and to find strategies to teach grammar in the translation class. For these purposes, this study analyzed the types and causes of grammatical errors made by Mongolian learners in the process of Mongolian-Korean translation using translation materials produced by 24 learners who were juniors at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and proposed teaching-learning methods for correcting grammatical errors efficiently in the translation class. In consideration of the nature of the school, scientific and technological contents familiar to the learners were chosen as analysis materials, and the causes of errors were classified into those from pronunciation, those from contrastive grammar, and those from the learner’s negligence, and grammar teaching-learning methods were suggested to correct such errors. As this study analyzed only 24 learners, who hardly represent all the Korean learners in Mongolia and whose level was not diverse, the findings of this study may not explain fully the current state of Korean translation education. Nevertheless, this study is expected to contribute to the activation of future research on Mongolian-Korean translation in various levels of translation process.
Development of real-time object motion estimation from single camera

We present a new approach for determining 3D motion of a moving rigid object relative to a single camera in image sequences. To estimate motion parameters as characterized by 3D rotation and 3D translation, non-linear least square equations have been formulated. Corresponding features on an object were observed from images at different times. Good initial values of these non-linear equations were provided from a para-perspective projection model to overcome ill-conditioned convergence problem of the equations.
