The purpose of this study, using the finite element program. EXCAV, is to investigate the displacement of wall according the excavation states And the comparision study setween the results of measurement is deposit and that of E.F.M. considering P.z. The results are summarized as follow. 1. In excavating by steps, maximum displacement of wall was taken place between lower strut and bottom of excavation. On the other hand, in case of simultaneous excavation, the displacement of wall was occured at upper of beam, and maximum moment and axial force were larger than step excavation. 2. The use of concrete wall had maximum displacement at other place of the wall. In spite of position of the first strut which is located at lower than the H-pile, the upper displacement of the wall could be found out the lower than final excavation step. 3. In the Analysis of excavation by Elastic Foundation method considering plastic Zone, the maximum moment of the beam was taken place between the lower strut and the bottom of final excavation, while the analysis of it by EXCAV showed that the moment was acted on the bottom of third excavation.

This is a retrospective study on facial bone fractures of Koreans. This study was based on a series of 110 patients who had been treated for facial bone fractures as in patient at Guro Hospital, School of Medicine, Korea University for the period of September, 1984. to August. 1988. The results were obtained as follows : 1. 2nd decade(42.7%) was the highest age group in incidence, and age range was 2 years to 72 years, and the ration of Male/Female was 3.7 : 1 2. Falling was most frequent cause of facial bone fractures(40.9%) 3. The frequent location of facial bone fractures were mandibule(67.1%), zygoma & zygomatic arch(11.7%), maxilla(10.9%), and others in order. 4. In mandibular fractures, one site fractures showed 30.1% and two site fractures showed 58.8% and triple site fractures showed 11.1%. The most frequent site of mandibular fracture was symphysis(32.7%) 5. The most frequent month of facial bone fracture was September.

It is expected that the impurities contained in a solid state insulation material will affect a considerable influence on its break-down voltage, dielectric loss, and insulation resistance. In this thesis, as a preliminary experimental research for the investigation described above, the effect of metalic barrier between the electrodes on the creepin flash over discharge voltage along the surface of a solid insulation material has been investigated, and got some interesting results. It was found that generaly the flash over voltage rises when a metalic barrier is located between the electrodes. The results of this investigation will be taken into account as an important components on the insulation design to prevent the creeping flash over discharge in insulators, bushings, and so on.

When a insulator plate is inserted to the discharge path of a space discharge gap in which the field strength is not uniform, the spark voltage under the atmospheric pressure between the electrodes decreases or rises according to the position of the insulating plate. Also it is reported that if a metallic barrier plate is inserted to the discharge path of the same space discharge gap, similar variations of spark voltage are found. Speaking briefly, mensioned above are the spark voltage characteristics when an insulator or metallic barrier is inserted to the space discharge gap. Also some experimental results, concerning to the surface creepage flash over characteristics at the case when an insulator barrier is inserted to the discharge path of a surface creepage discharge gap, were reported by Peek. But up to now there are no reports on surface flash over voltage characteristics at the case when a metallic barrier is inserted to the surface creepage gap. In this study the effects of a conducting metallic barrier inserted to the path of a surface creepage discharge gap on the flash over voltage characteristics are investigated theoretically and experimentally, and got some important results, clearing the effects of the position and width of a conducting barrier is inserted, the surface flash over voltage characteristics appear as an Inverse N or W Characteristics. Such theoretical or experimental results may have some relation not only with the effects of dry belt and snow on suspension insulators, but also with the effects of dirty zone or water drops on the surface creepage flash over voltage.

According to the previous studies which was done by the author, the flashover voltage was found to be increased considerably if some metallic barriere are inserted into the flashover discharge path. This paper shows that the flashover voltage in suspension insulators and bushings is raised up by the application of metallic barrier effect on surface discharge. Using moderate metallic barrier configulation the flash over voltage can be raised up by the amount of about 15% compared to that of the convensional type of suspension insulatiors and bushings.

This paper shows experimentally the characteristics of raising up the flashover voltage in supension insulators or bushing according to the theoretical results which was gotten by previous study. It was shown theoretically that, if some conducting metallic barriers are inserted into the flashover discharge path, the flashover voltage is found to be increased considerably. In order to verify this theoretical results, some basic experimental study was done, and the results was found to be more or less satisfactory except some problems which must be considered in future study.

This paper shows theoretically the possibility of raising up the flash over voltage in suspension insulators or bushing according to the results which was gotten by previous study done by the Author. If some conducting metallic barriers are inserted into the flash over discharge path, the flash over voltage is forund to be increased condiferablly. Applying this priciple, some methods of improving flash over characteristics are discussed theoretically.

Leukoplakia means a white or yellow-white plaque lesion. It can involve skin, oral cavity and esophagus. It is grossly thickened mucosa. Micropopic examination reveals a hyperkeratosis and varing amounts of sumucosal chronic inflammatory infiltration. We experienced three cases of esophageal leukoplakia recently and report here with the review of the literature.
