The purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship between the form of the clinical crowns in the maxillary anterior segment and the clinical feature of gingiva such as morphological characteristics and the gingival thickness. Fifty periodontally healthy subjects were clinically examined regarding the probing depth, the thickness of the free gingiva, and the width of the keratinized gingiva. From study models of the maxillary anterior region, the width at cervical third(CW) and the length(CL) of the clinical crown, the papillary height, and the gingival angle of the 6 anterior teeth were measured. Each tooth was classified into 4 groups (longnarrow, NL; narrow, N; wide, W; short-wide, WS) according to CW/CL ratio and all the data were compared between groups NL and WS using independent t-test. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed for each tooth region with the gingival thickness at the level of sulcus bottom, the width of keratinized gingiva, and gingival angle as the dependent variables. As the results, the NL group of the upper anterior teeth displayed, higher papilla height, and narrower keratinized gingiva, more acute gingival angle resulting in pronounced "scalloped" contour of the gingival margin, compared to the WS group. There was no significant difference between groups NL and WS with respect to probing depth and the gingival thickness. The regression analyses demonstrated that the gingival thickness in central incisors was significantly associated to the mesio-distal width and bucco-lingual width of the crown, and labial probing depth. The width of keratinized gingiva was significantly associated with labial probing depth in central incisors and with proximal probing depth and gingival angle in lateral incisors, and with labial and proximal probing depth, and gingival angle in canines. The gingival angle was significantly associated with papillary height and CW/CL ratio and additionally with proximal probing depth in central incisors, with the width of keratinized gingiva in lateral incisors, and with labial probing depth and the width of keratinized gingiva in canines. These results indicate that the form of clinical crown in upper anterior region could influence the clinical feature of gingiva and the influencing factors might be different according to the tooth region.

최근 COVID-19에 의해 택배 물량이 급증하면서 플라스틱 쓰레기가 하루 평균 약 850톤으로 지난해 대비 16% 증가했다. 이런 상황에서 폐플라스틱의 올바른 분리수거 방법이 중요해지고 있다. 환경부에 따르면, 올바른 페트병 분리수거 방법은 내용물을 비우고, 뚜껑, 라벨 제거 후, 찌그러트려 버리는 것이다. 이 방법이 가장 효율적이고 재활용 가능성이 높다고 설명한다. 본 연구에서는 페트병의 라벨을 제거하는 것을 가장 우선적으로 해결해야 할 문제로 판단하였고, 그에 따른 주거지 분리수거장용 및 가정용 라벨 제거기를 설계하였다. 개념 설계부터 3D 모델링, 제작까지 공학적 해석을 바탕으로 수행하였으며, 실제 구동 시 15~40초의 구동 시간 내에 성공적으로 페트병 라벨이 제거됨을 확인했다. The average volume of plastic waste is around 850 tons per day, which has increased by 16% from the last year, as the volume of parcel delivery has soared due to COVID-19. In this situation, recycling the waste plastic is becoming important. According to the Ministry of Environment, the most efficient method to recycle PET bottles is to empty the contents, remove the lid and label, and crush them. In this research, we determined that removing labels from PET bottles is the first issue to be addressed, and design a residential PET bottle label peeler. The design process including conceptual design, 3D modeling, and production was carried out based on engineering analysis. The PET bottle label was successfully removed within the driving time of 20 to 40 seconds on different shapes and sizes of the PET bottle.

본 연구에서는 도시철도 침목플로팅궤도(STEDEF)의 궤도구성품 중 하나인 침목상자의 손상원인 및 손상저감 방안을 검토하였다. 공용중인 도시철도 침목플로팅궤도를 대상으로 현장측정, 육안검사 및 수치해석을 수행하였다. 현장시료를 이용한 육안검사 결과를 바탕으로 침목상자의 손상취약부를 도출하고 손상원인을 분석하였다. 육안검사결과, 침목상자는 측면부 및 바닥경계부에 있는 내부 요철에서 찢어짐, 두께감소, 마모 및 마멸과 같은 손상이 뚜렷하게 조사되었다. 육안검사와 수치해석 결과를 비교한 결과, 현장시료의 손상위치와 해석응력 및 변위, 변형율 집중위치가 일치하는 것으로 분석되었다. 침목상자의 손상은 재료 및 형상측면에서 취약한 위치에 집중된 과대변형에 의한 손상임을 해석적으로 입증하였다. 따라서 침목상자의 소재는 발생변형에 대한 충분한 강도를 확보하지 못하여 반복 열차하중에 의한 변형으로 손상이 발생될 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
웹 스크래핑을 이용한 소셜 미디어 속 백반증 환자의 인식과 경험에 대한 연구

Background: In recent years, large amounts of data generated by patients have been accumulated on social media. We explored patients’ perspectives and experiences with vitiligo using web scraping data from the open internet community, NAVER Cafe. Objective: To understand patients’ real concerns and thoughts about vitiligo. Methods: Using vitiligo as a keyword, 1000 posts on NAVER Cafe were collected and categorized as follows: requests for recommendations for dermatology clinics; inquiries regarding vitiligo diagnosis, disease characteristics of vitiligo, and management of vitiligo; and advertisements. Essential contents were collected for each category to summarize patients’ perspectives and experiences. Results: Of the 1000 posts, 284 were requests for clinical recommendations, 203 inquiries for diagnosis of their white spots, 132 inquiries regarding characteristics of vitiligo, 118 described experiences and emotions related to vitiligo, 105 inquiries regarding management of vitiligo, 103 advertisements, and 55 not related to vitiligo. Concerning the authors, 209 and 522 posts were written by patients and parents of children with vitiligo, respectively. Conclusion: Patients with vitiligo have considerable concerns regarding their condition and actively communicate with each other through social media. Data mining on social media can provide a deeper understanding of patients’ thoughts and emotional distress with vitiligo as well as their families’. (Korean J Dermatol 2020;58(10):656∼661)
