The glutamic acid producing strain for development savory taste enhancing foods was identified the possibility through application into soybean fermentation. To check the effects on glutamic acid production during soybean fermentation, Lactococcus lactis HY7803 was introduced as a starter. The soybean samples were analyzed on days 0, 7, 14 and 21. The numbers of bacteria decreased gradually, while the content of amino-type nitrogen increased during fermentation in the soybean with L. lactis HY7803. Glutamic acid content in soybeans with L. lactis HY7803 increased from 114.99 ± 9.37 pmol/ul on day 0 to 138.14 ± 1.76 pmol/ul on day 21, showing an overall higher amino acid content than soybeans without L. lactis HY7803 and similar content to soybeans with Aspergillus oryzae SNU-G. It was clearly distinguished through principal component analysis. Consequently, our results indicate that L. lactis HY7803 is available as a fungus replacement and may be a good starter strain for enhancing savory taste in vitro as well as soybean fermentation.
Risk-based Design of Dolly Assembly Control System of Drilling Top Drive

To achieve drilling safety, a risk-based design of the dolly assembly control system is proposed. The risk and cost-benefit assessments are conducted to obtain information needed to make decisions about the safe design of the system. A failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is performed to identify and analyze the plausible hazardous scenarios by determining the failure modes of the subcomponents and their effects on the system operation. The priorities of risks are ranked by assigning a risk priority number for further investigation. Appropriate recommendations are made as risk reduction measures to achieve a more intrinsically safe design. A subsequent fault-tree analysis (FTA) is performed to provide a more quantitative risk evaluation. Monte Carlo simulations (MCSs) are conducted to determine the change of the availability between the original design and a system with recommendations adopted. For the sake of decision making, a cost-benefit assessment is performed, which demonstrated that the suggestions provided in this study are highly justifiable and strongly recommendable.

Comparative genomic analysis was performed on eight species of lactic acid bacteria (LAB)― Lactococcus (L.) lactis, Lactobacillus (Lb.) plantarum, Lb. casei, Lb. brevis, Leuconostoc (Leu.) mesenteroides, Lb. fermentum, Lb. buchneri, and Lb. curvatus―to assess their glutamic acid production pathways. Glutamic acid is important for umami taste in foods. The only genes for glutamic acid production identified in the eight LAB were for conversion from glutamine in L. lactis and Leu. mesenteroides, and from glucose via citrate in L. lactis. Thus, L. lactis was considered to be potentially the best of the species for glutamic acid production. By biochemical analyses, L. lactis HY7803 was selected for glutamic acid production from among 17 L. lactis strains. Strain HY7803 produced 83.16 pmol/μl glutamic acid from glucose, and exogenous supplementation of citrate increased this to 108.42 pmol/μl. Including glutamic acid, strain HY7803 produced more of 10 free amino acids than L. lactis reference strains IL1403 and ATCC 7962 in the presence of exogenous citrate. The differences in the amino acid profiles of the strains were illuminated by principal component analysis. Our results indicate that L. lactis HY7803 may be a good starter strain for glutamic acid production.

This paper summarize about the auxiliary electrode measured a ground resistance The method to measure a ground resistance is the fall-of-potential method to using an auxiliary electrode. And an auxiliary electrode must be set up on the ground. Today it is so difficult to set up the auxiliary electrode on the ground because of many concrete building and many paved roads. So this paper is regarding of the ground resistance measurement by the substitute auxiliary electrode. It substituted a iron structure around the building, a wire net for auxiliary electrode. This information is confirmed by compared with the measurement value.
Auditory P300 after Taking Hypnotic Zolpidem

Objective-Although the hypnotic, zolpidem, is known to be free of any detrimental residual effects, its residual effects on cognitive function after its elimination half-life have not been sufficiently investigated. This study was designed to examine the residual effects of zolpidem on cognitive function using event-related potentials (ERPs). Methods-Twelve healthy right-handed men participated in this study. ERP recordings were conducted at baseline and 5 hours after taking 10 mg of zolpidem. The auditory oddball task included the presentation of a series of standard (1,000 Hz, 75 dB, 80%) and target tones (2,000 Hz, 75 dB, 20%) in a predetermined quasi-random order. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results-On the behavioral task, the reaction time was significantly delayed in the post-drug condition compared to the baseline. The P300 amplitude was significantly decreased in the post-drug condition compared to the baseline. However, the P300 latency showed no difference between the pre- and post-drug conditions. Conclusions-The residual effects of zolpidem on cognitive function may persist after its elimination half-life. Further large placebo-controlled trials are needed to confirm the findings of this study.

인터넷에서 멀티미디어 서비스 및 고품질의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 다양한 모델들이 제시되고 있다. 기존의 Integrated Service (Int serv)나 Differentiated Service (Diffserv)가 확장성과 종단간의 QoS 보장 측면에서 문제점을 보이면서 최근에는 이들을 통합하려는 시도가 나오고 있다. 그러나 각 모델의 기본 구조가 다르기 때문에 자연스럽게 연결되는 (Seamless) 통합 네트워크을 제시하는데 상당한 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷에서 종단간의 QoS을 보장하기 위해 제시된 모델들의 특성을 살펴보고, 현재 제시되고 있는 통합 모델의 형태를 분석한다. 이를 토대로 Bandwidth Broker (BB)의 새로운 역할을 제시하여 통합 모델에 대한 연구의 방향을 설정하고, 종단간 서비스 품질을 보장할 수 있는 통합 네트워크의 구조를 제안한다.

With the correct equipment, microvolt EEG signals can be recorded from the scalp. Their potential use for diagnosis of physiological and psychiatric diseases and for increasing our understanding of cognitive processes is being realized by current research in many fields. Our work focuses on the research for good EEG signal representations and on careful analysis classification results using statistical EEG analysis(SEEG).

Objective-We determined whether aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) activity alters the way in which drinking behaviors are affected by gene polymorphisms of other alcohol-metabolizing enzymes and serotonin-related proteins. Methods-Through a follow-up survey with a cohort comprising 551 university freshmen over a period of 6 years, we examined the genetic factors affecting drinking behaviors. In 2000, drinking behaviors were assessed and tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) and ALDH2 gene polymorphisms were determined. Drinking behaviors were repeated in 2006 (n=150), and the gene polymorphisms of ADH1B, ADH1C, CYP2E1, 5-HTR2A 1438A/G, and 5-HTR2A IVS2 were also determined. Results-In 2000, the variant and wild-type ALDH2 groups exhibited little difference in terms of drinking frequency and problem drinking. Furthermore, some genotypes influenced only the variant group: ADH1B*2/*2 was associated with a lower drinking frequency, and CYP2E1 c2 allele was associated with an increased risk of problem drinking. In 2006, drinking frequency and risk of problem drinking were significantly lower in the variant group than in the wild-type group. However, the TPH AA genotype disturbed that difference, meaning that the subjects in the variant group had developed a similar level of risk of problem drinking to that in the wild-type group. Conclusion-Korean university freshmen who were identified as a variant group drank as frequently as those in the wild-type group. For the subsequent 6 years they drank less frequently, thus decreasing the risk of problem drinking. However, that frequency drop was interrupted in those with gene polymorphisms such as ADH1B*1, CYP2E1 c2, and TPH A.

Along with the global discussion on climate change prevention, regulations on hazardous substances emitted from ships were also carried out. Batteries have been regularly proposed as a solution for transportation, but lack of energy density has presented hydrogen as a final alternative. This study conducted legal issues regarding the method of providing hydrogen fuel on land and providing hydrogen fuel at sea. It is necessary to study how to institutionalize hydrogen bunkering in the legal system of the licensing system and distribution system.
