본 연구는 우리나라 장수노인들의 식품섭취상태를 분석 평가하고 건강한 장수를 위한 식생활 지침의 설정을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 수행되었다. 연구 대상은 경상북도 성주군에 거주하는 85세 이상 고령노인 중에서 일상 생활에 문제가 없는 224명이었으며 이들을 대상으로 반복 24시간 회상법을 이용하여 1년간 4회의 계절별 식품 섭취 조사를 실시하였으며 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 계절별 식품군별 섭취량에 있어서 남자노인은 감자류의 섭취량이 여름철에 유의적으로 높고, 버섯류의 섭취량이 가을철에 유의하게 높은 것을 제외하고는 모든 식품군의 섭취량에 있어 계절별 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 여자노인의 경우 곡류, 당류, 두류, 채소류, 과일류, 조미료류, 음료 및 주류, 육류, 우유류, 어패류의 섭취량이 겨울철에 유의하게 높았으며, 종실류, 해조류, 난류의 섭취량은 계절에 따른 차이가 없었다. 조사 대상자들의 연평균 1일 총 식품 섭취량은 594.4±186.1 g이었으며 이 중에서 513.5±161.2 g(86.4%)는 식물성 식품군으로부터 섭취하였고 79.3±56.7 g(13.3%)는 동물성 식품군으로부터 섭취하였다. 섭취량이 가장 높았던 식품군은 곡류였으며그 다음이 채소류, 과일류, 어패류, 음료 및 주류, 조미료류, 두류, 육류, 우유류, 감자류 등의 순이었다. 장수 노인대상자들의 음식별 섭취빈도는 밥류에 있어서는 쌀밥의 섭취비율이 80.1~89.2%로 가장 높았으며 국과 찌개류에서는 쇠고기국, 된장국, 된장찌개의 섭취 비율이 높았다. 어육류 식품의 경우 조기구이의 섭취비율(9.4~12.7%)이 높았으며, 해조류 식품의 경우 김구이의 섭취비율(7.4~20.5%)이 높았고, 각 계절마다 계절식품의 섭취비율이 높았다. 김치류의 경우 배추김치의 섭취비율이 4계절 모두 70% 이상으로 높게 나타났다. 일품요리류는 손쉽게 조리할 수 있는 라면과 국수의 섭취비율이 높았다.<br/> 본 연구의 결과에서 경북 성주지역 장수 노인들의 계절별 식품 섭취량에 있어 겨울철의 식품 섭취량이 다른계절에 비해 유의하게 높았으며, 남자노인보다는 여자노인이 식품섭취에 계절에 의한 영향을 더욱더 많이 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 장수 노인들은 가공식품보다는 계절마다 제철에 생산되는 자연 식품의 섭취비율이 높았다. 전반적으로 장수노인들은 소식의 경향을 보였으며 이와 같은 소식습관과 신선한 식물성 식품들의 일상 섭취가 건강한 장수에 영향을 미쳤을 가능성도 있을 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to estimate food intakes of the long-lived elderly and to obtain the data for establishing dietary guidelines that may be recommended for the general population for the sake of longevity. The subjects of the study were 224 elderly people of age over 85 years living in Kyungpook Sung-Ju area who have no problem in daily living. The food consumption survey was carried out seasonally by the repeated 24-hr recall method for one year. The subject group for this study was composed of 58 males and 166 females, the average age being 87 years old. Food intakes of the winter were more than any other seasons. The mean daily total food intake per capita was 594.4 g, 513.5 g (86.4%) from plant foods and 79.3 g (13.3%) from animal foods. The sequence of high intakes of food groups were cereals, vegetables, fruits, fishes, legumes and meats. Boiled white rice, beef soup, soybean paste soup, soybean paste stew, broiled yellow croaker, kimchi, ra myon and broiled noodles were consumed most frequently. In conclusion, the subjects consumed much more plants foods than animal foods and consumed more natural and seasonal foods than processed foods and also showed food habits of eating small meals. Dietary habits of eating small meals containing abundant amount of fresh plant foods might partially contribute to the longevity of the subjects.

죽의 기능성 향상을 위하여 2:1:1:1의 배합으로 혼합한 한약재료(가시오가피, 숙지황, 산약, 백복령)와 닭가슴살 등의 재료를 사용해 한방 영양죽을 제조하였다. 한방 닭죽의 DPPH radical 소거능, SOD 유사활성, 맛의 선호도, cost는 수학적인 canonical model과 trace plot을 이용하여 분석한 결과, SOD 유사활성 이외에는 각 성분들이 독립적으로 작용하여 상호작용이 없는 선형 모델을 보여주었다. DPPH radical 소거능, SOD 유사활성, 맛의 선호도를 최대로, cost를 최소로 목적 범위를 설정하고, 각각의 canonical 계수를 이용하여 수적 최적화를 통하여 최적 배합비를 구한 결과, 한약 혼합물 101g, 닭가슴살 38.66g, 찹쌀 비율 41.34g의 최적 배합비를 구하였으며, 이 배합비에 따른 맛의 선호도는 6.39, DPPH radical 소거능은 17.25㎎VCE/ℓ, SOD 유사활성은 2.25%, cost는 1,382.39 won으로 나타났으며, 여러 결과들 사이에 최적화된 한 값에 수렴하는 desirability는 0.714로 나타났다. 이는 한약혼합물이 많을수록 기능성 면에서는 높게 나타나지만 맛의 선호도면에서는 낮게 나타냈고, 닭가슴살의 경우에도 그 함량이 많을수록 맛의 선호도는 올라갔지만 그에 반해 cost가 높게 올라간 것을 반영한 결과로 사료된다. The objectives of this study were to develop porridge with medicinal herbs and chicken breast meat and to find out the optimum mixing ratio. Several herb extracts such as Acanthopanacis senticosus, Rehmannia glutinosa, Disocorea japonica, and Poria cocos Wolf were used in the ratio of 2, 1, 1, and 1, respectively. The optimum processing condition for herbal chicken porridge was determined by a design expert program. Seventeen experimental points were selected, and herb extracts (82∼101g), chicken breast meat (30∼50g), and glutinous rice (40∼60g) were chosen as the independent variables. The measured responses were preference of taste, DPPH radical scavenging, SOD-like activity, and cost. The optimum formulation of herbal chicken porridge using the numerical analysis was set at herbal extracts (101g), chicken breast meat (38.66g), and glutinous rice (41.34g) with a 0.714 desirability value. DPPH radical scavenging effect, preference of taste and the cost showed a linear model, whereas SOD-like activity showed a quadratic model indicating a higher interaction among the mixture. As a result of proximate composition of optimized herbal chicken porridge, the contents of moisture, carbohydrate, crude protein, crude lipid, and ash contents were 76.4, 9.0, 1.4, 0.5, and 1.6%, the calories of the porridge was 46.1kcal/100g.

For the study of population genetic structure with mtDNA, it is essential to measure genetic diversity at each mtDNA regions. Also, to evaluate the variation according to the each region should follow as well as to see if there are differences. In this study, we delved into the variations and dendrogram among samples of seven mtDNA regions (NDⅡ, NDⅤ, NDⅣ, NDⅣL, NDⅥ, NDⅠ, 12SrRNA) from wild Pacific abalone, Haliotis discus hannai collected in Yeosu, Korea. The region with the highest genetic variation was NDⅣ region (Haplotype diversity = 1.0000, Nucleotide diversity = 0.010823) with two to five times higher variation than the others. Furthermore, the study to see if there is a difference between the regions of samples showed that similar aspects of dendrogram in NDⅡ and NDⅠ(divergence of 90% and 87%), which forms a group with hd4, 7, 8 and 10 at bootstrap support, based on 1000 replications. Also, pair-wise FST between clusters within the regions showed high values; 0.4061 (P=0.0000), 0.4805 (P=0.0000) respectively. Therefore we can infer that it is the most efficient and accurate way to analyze the region of NDⅣ with the highest variation in addition to the regions of NDⅡ and NDⅠ, which formed clusters with high bootstrap value, for study of population genetic structure in this species.
Light Source Target Detection Algorithm for Vision-based UAV Recovery

In the vision-based recovery phase, a terminal guidance for the blended-wing UAV requires visual information of high accuracy. This paper presents the light source target design and detection algorithm for vision-based UAV recovery. We propose a recovery target design with red and green LEDs. This frame provides the relative position between the target and the UAV. The target detection algorithm includes HSV-based segmentation, morphology, and blob processing. These techniques are employed to give efficient detection results in day and night net recovery operations. The performance of the proposed target design and detection algorithm are evaluated through ground-based experiments.

Track-before-detect techniques based on dynamic programming have provided solutions for detecting targets from a sequence of images. In its application to airborne threat detection, dynamic programming solutions should take into account the distinguishable properties of objects in a collision course. This paper describes the development of a new track scoring function that accumulates scores for airborne targets in Bayesian framework. Numerical results show that the proposed scoring function has slightly better detection capabilities.

This study was conducted to develop stem volume models for the volume estimation of Quercus glauca Thunb. in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. Furthermore, this study validated the developed stem volume models using an independent dataset. A total of 167 trees were measured for their diameter at breast height (DBH), total height and stem volume using non-destructive sampling methods. Eighty percent of the dataset was used for the initial model development while the remaining 20% was used for model validation. The performance of the different models was evaluated using the following fit statistics: standard error of estimate (SEE), mean bias (E ), absolute mean deviation (AMD), coefficient of determination (R2), and root mean square error (RMSE). The AMD of the five models from the different DBH classes were determined using the validation dataset. Model 5 (V = aDbHc), which estimates volume using DBH and total height as predicting variables, had the best SEE (0.02745), AMD (0.01538), R2 (0.97603) and RMSE (0.02746). Overall, volume models with two independent variables (DBH and total height) performed better than those with only one (DBH) based on the model evaluation and validation. The models developed in this study can provide forest managers with accurate estimations for the stem volumes of Quercus glauca in the subtropical forests of Jeju Island, Korea.
