        악취가스 제어를 위한 Bio-filter 담체의 특성 비교

        Bio-filtration utilizes microorganisms fixed to a porous medium to metabolize pollutants present in an air stream. The microorganisms grow in a bio-film on the surface of a medium or are suspended in the water phase surrounding the medium particles. Therefore, bio-filter support media play one of the most important key roles in bio-filtration of gas phase pollutants. To characterize and select the appropriate support media, gas adsorption capacity and microorganism immobilization were investigated in lab-scale experiments for the selected target support media which were compost I (compost from lab-scale process), compost II (compost from municipal facility), bark, wood chip, orchid stone and vermiculite. As odor materials, ammonia and trimethylamine were utilized. From the result of experiments, bark was superior to any other support media tested in adsorption capacity as much as 12.5 mg ammonia per 1 g bark. In trimethylamine adsorption, bark and wood chip showed a remarkable results of 21.1 and 14.1 mg/g respectively. On the other hand, microorganism fixation test determined by the count of nitrogen oxidizing microbes population, the compost II and wood chips showed the best results. Considering the characteristics of materials and the operating condition of the bio-filter, bark, wood chip, and compost II are applicable to the support media of bio-filter when they are appropriately blended on the basis of studying the media pH, packing porosity and moisture contents.

        우리나라 미세플라스틱의 발생잠재량 추정 - 1차 배출원 중심으로 -

        미세플라스틱은 5 mm 미만의 플라스틱 조각으로서 의도적으로 제조한 1차 미세플라스틱과 물리 화학적 파쇄나 분해에 의해 만들어진 2차 미세플라스틱으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 인간의 활동으로 인해 미세해진 플라스틱을 발생시키는 배출원을 미세플라스틱의 1차 배출원으로 정의했다. 본 연구에서 미세플라스틱의 1차 배출원을 문헌을 이용하여 정리하고, 각 배출원에서의 발생잠재량을 추정하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 6만 3천~21만 6천 ton/year의 미세플라스틱이 환경으로 유입되는 것으로 나타났다. 그중 선박수송, 타이어분진, 세탁에 의한 배출이 큰 비중을 차지하였다. Microplastics are fractions of plastics less than 5 mm in size and can be divided into artificially manufactured primary microplastics and physically or chemically decomposed secondary microplastics. In this study, the emission source of microplastics made by the human activities is defined as the primary source of microplastics. And the primary sources of microplastics were summarized by using the literature and the emission potential of each source was estimated. As a result, this study showed that 63,000 to 216,000 ton/year of microplastics were discharged into the environment. Among primary sources, transport, tyre dust, and laundry were the major primary sources.

        한국인의 짧은엄지펴짐근 닿는 곳의 변이

        한국인의 빫은엄지펴짐근 (extensor pollicis brevis) 힘줄의 닿는곳에 따fms 유형과 그 출현빈도 그리고 힘줄의 수를 조사한 결과 다음과 같다 1.짧은 엄지펴짐근 166례 중 힘줄의 닿는곳이 엄지손가락의 첫마디 뼈인 전형적인 형(TypeⅠ)은 전체의 69.9%(116례), 끝마디뼈에 닿는 형(Type Ⅱ)은 10.8%(18례), 첫마디뼈와 끝마디뼈 두군데에 닿는 형(Type Ⅲ)은 13.3%(22례)이였으며, 기타 형(Type Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ,Ⅶ)은 4.8%(8례)였고 이근육이 결여된 예도 1.2%(2례)관찰 되었다. 2.짧은 엄지펴짐근의 힘줄이 1개인 경우는 76.5%(127례), 2개인 경우는 19.9% (33례) 그리고 3개인 경우는 2.4% (4례) 이였다. 3.오른쪽(83례) 과 왼쪽(83례)을 구분하여각 형의 출현빈도를 비교한 결과 별차이 없엇다. 4.남자(66례)와 여자(64례)를 구분하여 각형의 출현빈도를 비교한 결과 변이 형의 출현빈도가 남자에서보다 여자에서 더 높았다. 5.74구의 시체에서 오른쪽과 왼쪽의 짧은 엄지펴짐근 힘줄의 닿는곳이 대칭인 경우는 75.7%(56구)이였다.

        영화에 나타난 헤어스타일과 헤드드레스에 관한 연구 - 1920년대 영화(위대한 갯츠비, 브로드웨이를 향해 쏴라, 코튼클럽)를 중심으로

          To identify woman"s hair style in the films of Europe and America in the 1920"s three movies set in the social and cultural background in those days were analyzed.<BR>  As a result, there was the change of the hair types and the color patterns and the headdresses styles properly altered by the situation in those days. From the three categories in hair style were arranged and a total of 300 data were analyzed as following.<BR>  In the hair style the 1920"s, permanent wave bob and straight bob styles became popular. The color of hair in the 1920"s Yellow Red(5YR2/4),(5YR3/6),(10YR6/12) and balck(N1.5) are various, because artificial beauty was regarded as important. but in the 1920"s artificial beauty was not thought of as important due to the social trend following natural color.<BR>  In the 1920"s, when artificial beauty was popular there were various kinds of headdresses. Especially in the 1920"s, a headband and a helmet were popular temporarily because of an inflow of oriental culture. Toque like skull cap was used for the size of a head to look as small as possible for a splendid look and line.<BR>  As a result of the analysis of the hair style in the 1920"s, it is found that they changed according to the situation of the times reflecting the social and cultual backgrounds the 1920"s.

        Nano-Scale Pulverizer (NSP)와 Ultra-Fine Pulverizer (UFP)로 물리적 변성된 옥수수전분 섭취가 흰쥐의 성장능력 및 장기능에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 ultra-fine pulverizer 또는 nano-scale pulverizer로 초미세분쇄시켜 입자크기가 감소된 옥수수전분의 섭취로 인한 생리적 기능성을 탐색한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 각 실험식이군의 식이 섭취량은 UFC군, NAC군은 차이가 없었으며, NSC군에서 유의하게 낮았다. NSC군의식이 섭취량이 낮았음에도 불구하고 체중증가량이 많아 식이효율은 NSC군에서 가장 높았다. 2) 간, 신장의 무게는 UFC군 > NSC군 > NAC군순으로 높았다. 3) 소장의 무게는 UFC군이 NAC군에 비해 유의하게 높았으며, 소장의 길이는 각 실험군에서 유의적인 차이가 없었으며 맹장의 무게 및 장통과 시간도 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 4) 맹장내 단쇄지방산의 함량은 NSC군이 UFC군이나 NAC군에 비해 유의하게 높아 장내 미생물에 의한 발효가 활성화되고 있었으며 장내 Bifidobacterium 증식도 NSC군이 다른 군에 비해 활발하였다. 5) 소장세포의 증식은 NSC군에서 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 볼때 nano-scale로 입자의 크기가 감소된 옥수수 전분은 소화흡수율을 증가시켜 성장능력을 증진하는 것으로 나타났으며, Bifidobacterium 증식 촉진, 단쇄지방산 생성을 촉진하는 효과를 갖고 있어 상대적인 영양 밀도를 높이는 기능성을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 장기능이 미숙한 유아기, 장기능이 불완전하거나 미약한 환자, 노인등의 특수목적 영양식의 기본재료로 활용될 수 있음을 제안한다. The objectives of this study was to determine whether a new physically modified cornstarch by ultra-fine- or nanoscale pulverizer to reduce particle size offers better bioactive function than native cornstarch in weanling Sprague-Dawley rats. Male weaning Sprague-Dawley rats were fed diets containing native cornstarch (NAC), ultra fine pulverized cornstarch (UFC) or nano-scale pulverized cornstarch (NSC) for 4 weeks. In vitro rate of starch hydrolysis, growth performance, organ weight, intestine length intestinal proliferation and the fermentation by Bifidobacterium of rat cecum were evaluated. The diet with reduced particle size (UFC or NSC) significantly increased body weight gain and organ weight. Feed efficiency was increased in NSC fed rats and was not affected in UFC fed rats. Intestinal proliferation was decreased in NSC group. Reduction of particle size also increased cecal short chain fatty acid concentration and the growth and acidifying activity of Bifidobacterium. It is concluded that a reduction of particle size of starch granules by physically modification may increase growing performance and gut function.

        영화에 나타난 메이크업 스타일에 관한 연구 - 「티파니에서 아침을」ㆍ「에비타」ㆍ「추억」을 중심으로

          To identify woman"s make-up in the films of Europe and America in the 1940s, three movies set in the social and cultural background in those days were analyzed.<BR>  As a result, there was the change of the make-up types and the color patterns properly altered by the situation in those days.<BR>  The skin color preferred in the 1940s was mainly Yellow Red, especially Light Yellow Red(10 YRP). The color of the cheek touch was the soft color like Yellow Red(2.5YR7/10). It matched with the skin color, and showed the outline expression of the face effectively.<BR>  In the eye make-up, the shape of the eyebrow was expressed darkly with Dark Grayish Yellow(5YR3/2) applied to the arched shape of the eyebrow peak. That displayed the strong, manly image.<BR>  In the eye shadow, Bright Yellow Red(7.5YR8/6) was painted on the whole eyelid and expressed the color that hamonized with and kept the balance of the skin color.<BR>  Finally, in the lip make-up the straight curve lip, the original lip size was preferred. Light Yellow Red(5YR5/16) was applied to it. It looked like an active and splendid appearance.<BR>  If the change of these patterns and the colors that the make-up in the 1940s showed is compared with that in the present, the types of the eyebrow and the lip were changed a lot. Owing to this woman"s whole image was unisex.<BR>  To find the characteristic and the change of the make-up, the move was used and studied systematically and concretely in the research.<BR>  The patterns and the colors changed by the social and cultural causes in those days were analyzed. This research can be a basic material to use in the practical exercise to revive the make-up of each age in the department related to beauty and cosmetic.
