        Performance analysis of SWIPT-assisted adaptive NOMA/OMA system with hardware impairments and imperfect CSI

        This paper investigates the effect of hardware impairments (HIs) and imperfect channel state information (ICSI) on a SWIPT-assisted adaptive nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA)/orthogonal multiple access (OMA) system over independent and nonidentical Rayleigh fading channels. In the NOMA mode, the energy-constrained near users act as a relay to improve the performance for the far users. The OMA transmission mode is adopted to avoid a complete outage when NOMA is infeasible. The best user selection scheme is considered to maximize the energy harvested and avoid error propagation. To characterize the performance of the proposed systems, closed-form and asymptotic expressions of the outage probability for both near and far users are studied. Moreover, exact and approximate expressions of the ergodic rate for near and far users are investigated. Simulation results are provided to verify our theoretical analysis and confirm the superiority of the proposed NOMA/OMA scheme in comparison with the conventional NOMA and OMA protocol with/without HIs and ICSI.

        Synthesis of the crystalline porous copper oxide architectures derived from metal-organic framework for electrocatalytic oxidation and sensitive detection of glucose

        The porous CuO architectures have been successfully synthesize by the effective transformation of aCu-BTC metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) through a facile heating treatment. The as-synthesized porousCuO architectures exhibit high electrocatalytic activity toward the glucose oxidation. When evaluated asa nonenzymatic glucose biosensor, the porous CuO architectures manifest fast response within 1.3 s, widelinear range from 0.5 mM to 2.8 mM, low detection limit of 0.1 mM (signal-to-noise ratio of 3), highsensitivity up to 934.2 mA mM 1cm 2 as well as favorable reproducibility.

        Stability of Tunnel Face Reinforced by Bolts under Seepage Flow Conditions

        This paper proposed a calculation method for bolts reinforcement of tunnel face under the seepage condition. The existence of seepage in tunnel engineering may greatly reduce the stability of tunnel face, and bolts reinforcement technology is widely used in traditional tunnel engineering. In this paper, a 3D rotational failure mechanism is proposed by the kinematics method combined with the discretization technique. The pore water pressure was added in the energy calculation based on the empirical distribution formula of water head. The interaction between soil and bolts is simulated by using a finite thickness interaction region. The method was compared with the published works in order to verify the effectiveness. The influence of the bolt length, the bolt strength, the hydraulic head size, the face height and the soil parameters are given in the form of some graph.

      • Empirical Study on Influence Factors of Adaption Intention of Online Customized Marketing System in China

        This paper studies the influence factors and the influence mechanism which effect adoption intention of online customized marketing system, which is based on TRI model and the theory of resistance to marketing persuasion as the main framework of the research model from two aspects of technical and marketing characteristics. According to empirical study based on 303 Chinese users, we found that the user’s optimism, creativity and system inadaptability directly influence on the adoption intention in terms of technology attribution, marketing supply appeal, marketing supply fitness, perceived controlling and perceived pressure influence on the adoption intention in terms of marketing attribute, meanwhile, recommendation fitness are influenced by customized label, customized participation and explanation of recommendation. Marketing supply attractiveness is influenced by product attributes, novelty and form of customized supply. And users’ concern about security of system has no significant influence on users’ adoption of online customized marketing system. The people at different education are different significantly in their adaption attention. Finally management suggestion for operators was given.

        Mangiferin ameliorates placental oxidative stress and activates PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in mouse model of preeclampsia

        Preeclampsia is an inflammatory disease whichcan induce oxidative stress in placenta. Oxidative stressin preeclampsia is regulated by the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase/Akt/mammalian target of rapamycin (PI3K/Akt/mTOR) pathway. Mangiferin, an anti-oxidative molecule,is reported to ameliorate oxidative stress in the kidney andbrain through activating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. Weaimed to investigate the effects of mangiferin in a mousemodel of preeclampsia, which was induced by phosphatidylserine/dioleoyl-phosphatidycholine (PS/PC) from day 5to 17 of pregnancy. The female pregnant mice were dividedinto five groups according to drug treatment. Animalsreceived mangiferin orally at doses of 10, 20, 40 mg/kg/dayfrom day 0.5 to 17. In preeclampsia mouse model, elevatedsystolic blood pressure and proteinuria were ameliorated bymangiferin treatment. Mangiferin attenuated fms-like tyrosinekinase-1 and placental growth factor expression andoxidative stress in both blood and placenta of preeclampsiamice. The suppressed PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in placentawas activated by mangiferin treatment. This study demonstratesthat mangiferin ameliorates placental oxidative stressand activates PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in a mouse modelof preeclampsia.

        Novel Mutation of the NCSTN Gene Identified in a Chinese Acne Inversa Family

        Acne inversa is a chronic inflammatory follicular disease with autosomal dominant inheritance. In recent years, many functional mutations in the NCSTN genes have been identified as the cause of familial acne inversa. Herein, we recruited four patients and seven unaffected individuals from a Chinese family and performed Sanger sequencing of the NCSTN gene. One novel frameshift mutation, c.450_459del (p.Ser 151GlnfsX48), was identified in exon 5 of the NCSTN gene. Three normal-looking children carrying the mutation were proven to be patients. We also presented a literature review from previous studies of acne inversa, suggesting that NCSTN is a hotspot gene for acne inversa. Most affected individuals experienced onset in adolescence. We confirmed the diagnosis in this family based on the mutation. This finding will help expound the relationship between the NCSTN gene and the pathogenesis of acne inversa and emphasize the value of genetic diagnosis in monogenic disorder.       • Culture of a Whole Porcine Liver Ex Situ without Red Blood Cells

        Aims: Liver transplantation is an effective approach to end-stage liver disease. Shortage of donor liver and increased waiting time for liver transplantation necessitate the development of an organ culture system by which livers can be cultured and maintained ex situ for a prolonged period of time. The aim of this work is to test whether cell culture condition in vitro could be used to culture whole livers ex situ without the use of erythrocytes. Methods: Eight castrated male land race/farm young porcine livers were exposed to 30 min warm ischemia and 30 min cold perfusion. Livers were isolated and connected to an ex situ liver culture system using a standard culture medium RPMI 1640 supplied with 10% of fetal calf serum and sufficient dissolved oxygen under a normothermic condition for 6 hours. Metabolic biomarkers, bile and urea production, hepatic cell viability, and histology analysis of biopsies were performed and analyzed. Results: Dissociated porcine hepatic cells survived and grew in vitro under the standard RPMI 1640 culture medium. When the same RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with 10% of FCS and sufficient oxygen was used to culture livers ex situ, over 98% of liver cells were viable for at least 6 hours during ex situ whole organ culture based on the results from biochemical assays. Conclusions: Our data demonstrate that the liver culture system established in this work can be used to culture whole livers ex situ in the absence of erythrocytes.

        USP15 inhibits multiple myeloma cell apoptosis through activating a feedback loop with the transcription factor NF-κBp65

        USP15 has been shown to stabilize transcription factors, to be amplified in many cancers and to mediate cancer cell survival. However, the underlying mechanism by which USP15 regulates multiple myeloma (MM) cell proliferation and apoptosis has not been established. Here, our results showed that USP15 mRNA expression was upregulated in MM patients. USP15 silencing induced MM cell proliferation inhibition, apoptosis, and the expression of nuclear and cytoplasmic NF-κBp65, while USP15 overexpression exhibited an inverse effect. Moreover, in vivo experiments indicated that USP15 silencing inhibited MM tumor growth and NF-κBp65 expression. PDTC treatment significantly inhibited USP15 overexpression-induced cell proliferation, apoptosis inhibition, and NF-κBp65 expression. USP15 overexpression promoted NF-κBp65 expression through inhibition of its ubiquitination, whereas NF-κBp65 promoted USP15 expression as a positive regulator. Taken together, the USP15-NF-κBp65 loop is involved in MM tumorigenesis and may be a potential therapeutic target for MM.

        The Effects of Multi-minerals on Susceptibility to Lead Toxicity in Rats

        Female Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: Control, received distilled water; Low lead, received 0.5 g/ιlead (as acetate) in drinking water; High lead, received 2.0 g/ιlead; Low lead + Minerals, received 0.5 g/ιlead in drinking water and received minerals (Ca$^{2+}$, 25 mg/kg/day; Fe$^{3+}$, 0.47 mg/ kg/day; Zn$^{2+}$, 0.33 mg/kg/day; Se, 0.83 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg/day) by gavage; High lead + Minerals, received 2.0 g/ιlead and received the same minerals. Animals exposure to lead was from 10 days before mating till postnatal day 21; and the minerals was administered from the first day of pregnancy and during lactation. No statistical difference was found either in body weights or in blood lead levels between the pups received minerals and those only exposed to lead at the same dose. The developmental and behavioral teratological effects of lead on pups, such as time-lag of eye opening, pinna detachment, fur developing, incisor eruption, ear unfolding, and surface righting were observed in this study; and the minerals decreased the toxicity of lead either in low or in high lead exposure pups. The numbers of step-down were significantly increased in lead exposed animals, and the effect of intervention by the minerals was appeared only in the pups exposed to low lead. The ChAT activity and levels of glutamate and aspartate in hippocampus decreased in treated animals compared to control animals, no effect of intervention by the minerals was found. The results of this study indicate that the applied multi-minerals can alter the outcome of develop-mental lead poisoning in rats.s.s.s.
